“I had such a wonderful dining experience here recently. The quality of the food was impressive and every plate was presented beautifully.

Everything tasted so fresh. I especially loved the bento box, which came with a perfect slice of orange and some really delicious, crispy dumplings. It is rare to find a spot that puts this much care into their presentation and flavor profiles.

I am definitely planning on coming back soon to try more of their menu. This place is a real local gem for anyone in Concord.“

“This is one of the best izakaya spots around here. The owners and staff are very friendly, and it looks like they have a lot of regular customers.

I ordered a few dishes to enjoy with some good sake. The yakitori was a bit disappointing since it lacked that smoky, grilled flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it.

However, the steamed clams were excellent—perfect as a drinking snack. The fried herring was so delicious that we finished it in no time. Lastly, I had ochazuke, which was absolutely satisfying and something I’d definitely order again.

Overall, it was a perfect dinner experience.“

“Kansai Japanese Restaurant is a hidden gem in Concord. Every sushi roll we tried was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Teriyaki was tender and full of flavor, and the Chicken Katsu was perfectly crispy and cooked just right.

The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you're looking for excellent Japanese food in the area.“

“Obsessed with this place! We got bento boxes - I got the bbq beef - it comes with so much food! We also got the lettuce wraps, I can’t remember the name but it’s like a California roll, but instead of rice it is lettuce. The portions are big, one bento box could feed two people and the prices are very affordable. Seriously even a basic CA roll is so delicious! Customer service was AMAZING. Highly recommend 😋“

“I started with the Spicy Crab Crunch Roll and the Teriyaki Bento Box. The Bento box was very filling. The teriyaki sauce was flavorful! A little goes a long way. I was recommended to add cream cheese and sesame seeds. It was a lovely addition to the sushi! Additionally I returned to buy an entire sauce bottle of the teriyaki sauce. Yes it was that tasty. The bottle was $11 USD. It was well worth the price. It is my favorite teriyaki chicken restaurant in the bay. I’d strongly recommend it if you love a teriyaki chicken moment. Customer service was lovely as well.“

“The food is consistent and the service is fast! I really enjoy their lunch special with teriyaki chicken and a California roll. Since I went for dinner this weekend, I just ordered the same menu items I would get in the lunch special and they were great!“
