“It's was good. Server was good, food was good. They forgot about the birthday we were celebrating even though the host had mentioned it when we checked in. So when we got the dessert. We didn't have a candle, so had to use the candle on the table as a replacement.“

They serve brunch until 2pm…I was so excited when I got to this place! The ambience is awesome! The music is on point, they have a nice bar, and food is very good! We went on a Sunday and we had to wait a bit longer than usual but I didn’t mind at all, I was just enjoying the place. Great menu and the prices are the absolute best! I’ll keep coming back, I loved it!! Everyone is super nice and they make you feel welcomed even though they were very busy…this will be my spot in Newport Beach from now on.

“Nice vibe-y place to stop off for a cocktail. Tucked away in the corner but there are plenty of clear signs pointing the way. Most of their cocktails had an Asian bent: miso, ume, shiso, etc.
Nice enough staff too.

“I was invited to their soft opening and went last night with a few friends. It's a new late night spot with small bites and drinks. Customer service was on point! Ron does an amazing job catering to clientele and providing great hospitality. He is truly interested in making sure customers are happy and open to ideas for any improvements! Drinks were good and strong. We had the Japanese old fashioned and lychee martini. Best part was it was buy one get one free! My favorite food was the wagyu and blue crab hand roll. It was a cool concept, they did a "reverse" hand roll and I especially loved that part because the nori was nice and crispy. Very innovative! Can't wait to return and try more of the menu items. They are going to incorporate bar food in the future and can't wait to see how it comes along. Also, they had good music selection!!!!“

The restaurants around the bar close earlier than they are announcing on google. So if you are craving some food. Go as soon as you can. But other wise the bar is excellent.“

“People raved about this sushi restaurant, it was decent but I don't think I'd go back. The service was outstanding, the food was good, but the prices are expensive for what you get. IMHO, there are better sushi restaurants for the same $. You won't have a bad meal, it just left me wanting for more. The only negative about this place is the loud noise inside, it's difficult to have a conversation without yelling, which only adds to the noise.“

“Overall, quite a nice dining experience as the server was nice and the food was good. Bread is served soft and warm. The signature fried chicken lobster tail was fresh but the breading can be a bit thinner to improve the texture. The little neck clam is probably the best dish of the night as the clam itself is huge and the meat is juicy and super fresh and cooked perfectly. The main entrees Hokkaido scallop is fresh but lacked sweetness so it's about average. The off menu New York steak was surprisingly good and tender until we found out it is actually a Wagyu beef which we also paid a premium for, so it became less impressive because we didn't even know it was a Wagyu when ordering it. It will be better for the server to address carefully on the off menu items as well as the price so customers don't get surprised after eating. Anyway, overall seafood is good and would highly recommend the little neck clam. Will want to try the bone-in Ribeyes which was actually what we wanted in the first place.“

“Our family group of 11 had a remarkable experience at Jolie’s Saturday evening. Personable and patient, Alvaro was our incredible server whose service was exceptional. The food order was perfect and each person loved their entree. The salmon dinner was moist, flat iron steak salad was tender and fresh, the vegetarian pasta was flavorful, all other entrées were delicious. The appetizers, spicy tuna stack, brussel sprouts and steak tartar were a delicious intro to precede our entrees. All perfectly prepared. We had two children with us and they enjoyed their meals which arrived promptly. Alvaro made our birthday and thanksgiving celebration so special. We will definitely return to Jolies for their fabulous service, view and food! Kudos to everyone at jolies who work together to provide thee Best!“

“I wish I would have got the waitress's name. She was so nice and accommodating to me ,my wife, and our dog. She went above and beyond a couple of times during our lunch. My wife's dish was a little too spicy so we sent it back and they gave us another at no charge(minus the Chipotle sauce). The amazing part Was the sincere kindness of the waitress. Most places make you feel like you're a problem when you send something back. She just wanted to make sure we were happy. Thank you, you are much appreciated. “It was lunch time and I wanted something tasty and light. I found this sushi spot in a shopping center. There was a lot of parking and I came in to get a to go order. The place looked nice inside, trendy, and clean. There were sushi bar chefs making the food fresh on the spot. I ordered the ponzu roll for myself and crunchy roll for my fiancé. The host was nice he took my order and gave me the extra sauces I asked for. It was a 10-15 minute wait. They were both good rolls, I really liked the ponzu roll with the sauce. The crunch roll was basic. Although these 2 rolls were good, I don’t think it should be $20/roll. That’s pretty pricey for rolls I can get just as good somewhere else. But besides the price, everything else was good!

“Brunch with my bestie. We were sat outside with a view of the private beach. We watched the occasional surfer and serene waves while sipping prosecco and enjoying each other's company. The staff is lovely. The seating is comfortable. The food is delightful, and we enjoyed very nice surprises, such as precisely how big and delicious the cinnamon roll is. I've never in my life been excited about a cinnamon roll. This one changes everything. It's perfectly seasoned, perfectly browned outside and fluffy inside, and perfectly gooey - not at all runny. The seafood salad and eggs benny were just as good. I never thought about using focaccia for eggs Benedict, but here we are and it ruined us for any other configuration for this dish. Every single interaction was sincerely positive, and I can't say enough about how each encounter with a team member, even brief, remains on my mind. An unforgettable experience. Will return and will recommend.

Parking: Parking is valet only as far as I can tell.“

“Living in the boonies of San Diego Co has benefits…(no traffic jams)…but few awesome perks…(like Tiki bars!!) Luckily the gods aligned, in Orange Co, and our last stop was the Stowaway. Intriguing, dark-painted, one small door marked the front of a strip-mall establishment… hmmm…sorta scary…but not really!! But there were two of us, and we had researched this place…so… The doorman looked at us, said a few things and unlocked a chain. We walked through curtains into the darkest bar I had ever been in, and shuffled toward the green lit bar…which turned red, then blue. The girl bartender handed us a card which we couldn’t read…it was really dark inside. From the shadows, up walked a bearded guy wearing a black shirt with hibiscus’s, smiled, extended his hand and said, “Hi, I’m “WILL”…can I explain anything to you? We had lots of questions…about drinks, Tiki ceramics, glassware, appetizers…and WILL cheerfully explained everything…He was fun, cheery, smart, and So Nice!! He brought us amazing drinks (a Tropical Margarita, a Cococano and totally fun ceramic sculptures from which to drink…an Angler Zombie Fish with a light, and Carved Volcano mug that had a flame show-by WILL, included!! Awesome!!) Totally wonderful décor…lights, bamboo furniture, comfy stools, the Skull Cave and waterfall, starry night ceiling, cool pool tables with lotsa room around them…everything thought through perfectly!!! We are definitely going back…VERY soon!!!! Thanks so much for everything, WILL!!“

“I used to live in Santa Barbara and am a huge fan of Finney’s. Tried Laguna one for the first time.
Service and vibe are very nice but food was bad.
Chicken and waffle taste like precook and coconut shrimp isn’t seasoned. Pizza dough was very dry but taco was excellent.“
