“We love CdM. The food is always excellent. The service is great. The only complaint is we had a 9pm reservation and at 10:00 they started clearing out the restaurant and cleaning. It wasn't the best ambience when all the staff is clearing, sweeping and banging things around. On a Thursday night we expected the restaurant to be open a little later.“

They serve brunch until 2pm…I was so excited when I got to this place! The ambience is awesome! The music is on point, they have a nice bar, and food is very good! We went on a Sunday and we had to wait a bit longer than usual but I didn’t mind at all, I was just enjoying the place. Great menu and the prices are the absolute best! I’ll keep coming back, I loved it!! Everyone is super nice and they make you feel welcomed even though they were very busy…this will be my spot in Newport Beach from now on.
I ordered the California Omelet and it was absolutely delicious! The person I went with ordered the Philly and he said it was pretty good. We loved this place and we’ll keep coming back ❤️“

“Every year, I got to drive down to OC from the Bay for High School or College Reunion at least once. This time for Cal Poly Reunion over the holidays. My friend gave me a tour on South Coast Plaza at Christmas and it was amazingly beautiful. He took me to the food court in Bloomingdale's that has so many nice restaurants, mostly Asian Fusion instead of going to the VN town for VN food. We just wanted to have a light lunch before a nice dinner later that day.

The place is quite small, not many tables, but you can sit outside to have fresh air or NOT LOL. It's clean, modern, hip IMHO. The menu is quite simple. So what should we get. Wagyu Sandwich, $20 is quite reasonable in this beautiful shopping center.
This is one of the best sandwiches of any kind I've had so far. The bread was amazingly crispy and soft prepared. The beef was tender and marinated just right, so tasty. The chips were crispy and need more because I can't stop munching.
I was glad my friend took me here, tried new restaurant, and great food for a reasonable price.
The service was attentive and excellent.
I'll try something new next time I'm down here or NOT. Still remembering the bread and the beef.“

“I was invited to their soft opening and went last night with a few friends. It's a new late night spot with small bites and drinks. Customer service was on point! Ron does an amazing job catering to clientele and providing great hospitality. He is truly interested in making sure customers are happy and open to ideas for any improvements! Drinks were good and strong. We had the Japanese old fashioned and lychee martini. Best part was it was buy one get one free! My favorite food was the wagyu and blue crab hand roll. It was a cool concept, they did a "reverse" hand roll and I especially loved that part because the nori was nice and crispy. Very innovative! Can't wait to return and try more of the menu items. They are going to incorporate bar food in the future and can't wait to see how it comes along. Also, they had good music selection!!!!“

The restaurants around the bar close earlier than they are announcing on google. So if you are craving some food. Go as soon as you can. But other wise the bar is excellent.“

Both times the customer service was excellent, and the people taking our order went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter’s special needs accommodations. The food we have ordered has been delicious, too! It was a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal at the airport. We will definitely eat there again!“

“I was conflicted about whether to give Rol 4 or 5 stars. I’m a sushi and hand roll aficionado. I’d eat it daily and I’ve been to most of the places in SoCal. The fish quality here is very good. I got the lunch special and at $16 for 4 rolls that’s a very good price. But the rolls are very small. Usually I can have enough at 5 rolls to be full. Here I had 6 and I could have still eaten more.

Other than that, I have no complaints. It’s a clean restaurant located right off beach blvd in main part of city. The servers were attentive and nice. I’m just a big eater and I would have to order 7-8 rolls to feel satisfied.“

“Suggest having a reservation. We showed up without a reservation and the place was practically empty and they had no seats available and this place is huge. Lots and lots of couch seating and tables. I personally find it frustrating, when an establishment of this size cannot have some seats open for walk-ins.
After being told there is no space available, WE discovered that the small bar area is open seating!!! Go Figure. Once we sat down the service was awesome!“

First time visiting the Newport location after previously dining at the Del Mar restaurant, and we were blown away once again. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and everything from start to finish exceeded expectations.

The service here stood out beyond any other restaurant we’ve tried in Orange County. Our server, Ryan, was absolutely phenomenal—professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and made fantastic recommendations. (And trust me, we have high expectations!)

The food was incredible—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive and crafted with such care. The combination of the outstanding service, delicious food, and great drinks has officially made this our new date night spot.

“Our family group of 11 had a remarkable experience at Jolie’s Saturday evening. Personable and patient, Alvaro was our incredible server whose service was exceptional. The food order was perfect and each person loved their entree. The salmon dinner was moist, flat iron steak salad was tender and fresh, the vegetarian pasta was flavorful, all other entrées were delicious. The appetizers, spicy tuna stack, brussel sprouts and steak tartar were a delicious intro to precede our entrees. All perfectly prepared. We had two children with us and they enjoyed their meals which arrived promptly. Alvaro made our birthday and thanksgiving celebration so special. My wife's dish was a little too spicy so we sent it back and they gave us another at no charge(minus the Chipotle sauce). The amazing part Was the sincere kindness of the waitress. Most places make you feel like you're a problem when you send something back. She just wanted to make sure we were happy. Thank you, you are much appreciated. “It was lunch time and I wanted something tasty and light. I found this sushi spot in a shopping center. There was a lot of parking and I came in to get a to go order. The place looked nice inside, trendy, and clean. There were sushi bar chefs making the food fresh on the spot. I ordered the ponzu roll for myself and crunchy roll for my fiancé. The host was nice he took my order and gave me the extra sauces I asked for. It was a 10-15 minute wait. They were both good rolls, I really liked the ponzu roll with the sauce. The crunch roll was basic. Although these 2 rolls were good, I don’t think it should be $20/roll. That’s pretty pricey for rolls I can get just as good somewhere else. But besides the price, everything else was good!

“Living in the boonies of San Diego Co has benefits…(no traffic jams)…but few awesome perks…(like Tiki bars!!) Luckily the gods aligned, in Orange Co, and our last stop was the Stowaway. Intriguing, dark-painted, one small door marked the front of a strip-mall establishment… hmmm…sorta scary…but not really!! But there were two of us, and we had researched this place…so… The doorman looked at us, said a few things and unlocked a chain. We walked through curtains into the darkest bar I had ever been in, and shuffled toward the green lit bar…which turned red, then blue. The girl bartender handed us a card which we couldn’t read…it was really dark inside. From the shadows, up walked a bearded guy wearing a black shirt with hibiscus’s, smiled, extended his hand and said, “Hi, I’m “WILL”…can I explain anything to you? We had lots of questions…about drinks, Tiki ceramics, glassware, appetizers…and WILL cheerfully explained everything…He was fun, cheery, smart, and So Nice!! He brought us amazing drinks (a Tropical Margarita, a Cococano and totally fun ceramic sculptures from which to drink…an Angler Zombie Fish with a light, and Carved Volcano mug that had a flame show-by WILL, included!! Awesome!!) Totally wonderful décor…lights, bamboo furniture, comfy stools, the Skull Cave and waterfall, starry night ceiling, cool pool tables with lotsa room around them…everything thought through perfectly!!! We are definitely going back…VERY soon!!!! Thanks so much for everything, WILL!!“
