We love that they are big enough to cut up and share, so the whole family gets to try each flavor we pick. The staff was friendly. “I have been to the 2 Little Tokyo locations and this one is definitely the winner! there’s a huge variety of pastries and things to eat for a quick bite (you might probably have to eat it standing or elsewhere during the weekends since it gets pretty packed and there’s just 3 tables!) but the steamed buns were good!, the matcha mochi wasn’t too sweet so it was perfect, the almond croissant was fine but their specialty is definitely on other pastries! will definitely come back again to try more stuff.“

“If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

“I am very partial toward Japanese wagashi and I do compare them to what I had in Japan. So it is not easy for me to remark that although the wagashi is very beautiful, the taste was not that great, considering what the reviews have for this place. I drove 3 counties to get here and I had high hope that the taste would be good; but alas, it doesn't live up to the hype. Fugetsu is actually better. So I am rather disappointed. I gave this a 4 stars ratings because they are exquisite, just the taste was not up to Japanese standard. Nothing wrong with it, hence, the 4 stars.“

Ish's signature pies, breads, expresso buns, cookies, cakes, are always in small batches, and has something new and in season everytime I stop by! You can taste the love and passion of these modern Filipino inspired desserts that anyone can enjoy. I will say the pies are a must!

“I attended a kids' birthday party and they had the most delicious cake ever. It was chocolate with a fresh strawberry center. The chocolate cake was so moist. The icing was light and delicate. This cake was talked about with everyone. We kept saying, "it's not too sweet," which is the best compliment you can say for a cake. “The best basic sweet bread I've ever tried. You definitely can't only have one piece of señorita bread! They're pretty similar to Porto's Cheese Rolls except these are softer and almost feel like they melt in your mouth with how soft these are. It's especially true when they're fresh out the oven. These are cool to bring to the office one morning and sharing with everyone. Or take to your family after the day to share as a dessert. They offer other breads but the señorita bread is definitely the star of the show here. Give these a try and you'll probably get these instead of your typical donut.“

That said, I was craving a solid Everything Bagel one day and it was pretty sub-par. I also tried the saffron-pistachio croissant, which sounds amazing, but was too sweet and just not..... that good.... I went back a different time and had similar experience with other pastries.

“Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

“The mini conchas are my favourite, I don't like conchas unless they're from this bakery. The polvorones, cinnamon raisin rolls, pink jelly coconut roll, and the mini cookies with sprinkles are my favourites here. The prices have been raised for the filled breads but it's better compared to other places. The place looks like it's kept clean and well maintained. The only bad thing about coming here are the homeless people asking for money all the time. + There's very limited parking sometimes it'll be empty and the next second it'll be full. The staff are super friendly and fast.“

I can’t fathom how they are able to provide baked goods at such a high quality but low price apart from the fact that maybe they don’t have to pay rent?? Definitely recommend giving this spot a try if you’re in the area.

I bought a turon and a pandan hopia, totaling to $2. Both were warm (not partially but warm throughout which suggest they were either made very soon before or were kept in a heated environment) and tasted super fresh. I preferred the turon; the outside was crispy and caramelized, and the inside tasted like a plantain but also had jackfruit umami. The layers were clearly defined and the texture was great. Comparatively the pandan hopia was not as sweet, but the filling was soft and gooey. It’s not really a dough-y or bread-y texture but in between bread and pastry, so it was quite unique.“

“We needed a birthday cake on short notice, and thankfully, Patisserie Too had a 5” mango cake available. They also had a wide variety of personal size cakes in adorable animal themes (rabbit, dog, pig, penguin, and Hello Kitty). Our party really enjoyed the mango cake - it was the perfect sweetness level and full of flavor. Sweet enough to taste like a dessert but not overwhelmingly sugary. I was pleasantly surprised to find a slice of mango inside the cake. The mango texture was a fun contrast to its soft cake-y surroundings. The entire cake sat on top of a cookie base (shortbread cookie?), and the crunchiness of the cookie also enhanced the range of textures in this dessert!

The cakes were also well packaged. They taped down the personal size cakes we bought so that they wouldn’t slide around inside the box. This attention to detail and their friendly and helpful service overall made this a really pleasant shopping experience!“
