“My 2nd visit here so far. Fell in love with the Pad Thai. 1st visit had the Pad Thai & Japanese Pan Noodles. Today ordered 2 Pad Thai & Spicy Korean Beef Noodle. Will be coming more oftenly to try other items on the menu being as loyal regular customer Great location with. spacious hip atmosphere dining with outdoor dining patio out front of restaurant and very generous friendly staffs. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody who's into Italian pasta's, Asian noodles, variety's of salads & soups giving 5 stars out of 5 stars.“

“This was my first visit (several weeks ago) and I liked the food. I had wanted a salad with our pizzas to go but was told they were out of containers. Just when I thought I was having another disappointing experience, I was approached and told they found some! Great! I’ll take one! What a surprise to be given TWO salads, free of charge! They were very nice and I offered to pay but was graciously told they were on the house. So very nice and I enjoyed salad with my pizza as well as salad for lunch the next day. Thank you!“

From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. “The best place to try Bosnian food! I can’t pick one favorite, from cevapi to pizza to pita , this food taste like homemade. All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “We had a dinner get together with family about 20 people… the food was great but Alejandra who waited for us was phenomenal. Can you imagine 20 of us, but we never had to ask for another drink, she automatically filled our glasses and she had a smile all the time. While other bakeries overload their cookies with sugar and unesessary distractions, Foodology gets it right with an assortment of treats for everyone. “My son who lives in LA insisted we go when I visited from MD. So we trekked out there on Saturday. We had the veggie delight pizza and calzone. The pizza was loaded with veggies and the right amounts of cheez and sauce. The crust was perfect in flavor and crispiness. The calzone included their own delicious chick'un, with a tasty crust. Both were brought to our table in a reasonable amount if time and piping hot. The dining area is spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended whether you are vegan or not! Bonus: there's a vegan market in the same shopping center. And a vegan tamale restaurant and a Loving Hut restaurant if the pizza doesn't fill you up. My mom‘s favorite is their sprinkle cookies, to the extent that she will make a special trip to Hapa anytime she’s in town to get herself some!
