“The Sunday Brunch at Lantern's Edge was amazing - from start to finish. The restaurant host, Christine, warmly welcomed us when we arrived. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was coastal and the floor to ceiling windows filled the room with natural light. Our server, Miguel, provided top notch service throughout our meal. I opted in for the endless brunch option that had unlimited mimosas, regular breakfast items, and premium items (jumbo shrimp, crab legs, prime rib, and more) all for $65. We sat outside in the patio that had amazing ocean views accompanied by live entertainment. I noted on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and Boran, sous chef from the kitchen came out and personally greeted us and wished my friend a happy birthday. Lantern's Edge is truly a hidden gem in Dana Point. I will 100% be coming back and let everyone know this is the place to be for great food, amazing service, and impeccable vibes!“

“We went there because we were told it was the best poke bowl on town and it was absolutely true.
I ordered an ahi tuna salmon original with cilantro, furikake seeds and corn and it was incredibly fresh and tasty.
My husband ordered one with a lot of mayo and he said it was very good, but mine was better.
Definetly recommended. The parking can get tricky but there are parking spots on the side roads.
It is a very small place and you order your food either to go or you can sit outside.“

“So glad we could have a last dinner there before it closes on 8/10/25 after 50 years! Got in right away. We had our rehersal dinner there before our wedding. My 60th birthday party was there. Celebrated my husband's birthday and our 37th wedding anniversary last night. So sorry to see it go!“

“Took my cousin and her son to Jack's this evening. We all had never been, and being beach town residents, we gave it a try. Orange Roughy for me with the spinach and mash, Rainbow trout and Ravioli for remaining dishes. All outstanding! One dessert (pictured) which tastes even better than it looks. Waiters were punctual and fantastic. A great dining experience. Recommended 5 stars.“

“Consistently Fantastic Brunch Spot Near the Marriott!
Every time we stay at the Marriott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point, we make a point to walk over to What A Dish for brunch, and it never disappoints. The outdoor seating is charming and relaxed, perfect for soaking in the coastal vibe.
This visit was no exception, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was spot-on, flavorful, and came out quickly. You order at the counter, but don’t let that fool you, the service is top-notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, regularly checking in to top off coffee and water, and making sure we had everything we needed.
What really impressed me is how consistently every staff member went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Everyone had a smile, and the whole experience gave off warm, happy vacation energy. You do tip at the time of ordering, which can be a gamble at some places, but here the service went above and beyond. Honestly, one of the best service experiences I’ve had anywhere. This is how it should be handled everywhere.
Can’t recommend this spot enough if you’re in Dana Point. Great food, great vibes, and genuinely lovely people. We’ll be back, again and again!“

“Glad we took made the decision to stop in early this morning, it is an all day menu. Went right for the Lobster Roll instead of waiting for lunch, also pictured the Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel with Cream done right. Lobster was fresh, just like the greens, aioli was light as it should be brioche was perfect for MP $38 beachfront you really cant do better. Also had the granola yogurt and strawberry banana smoothie, gotta come back for another smoothie later.
Came back for more, still good.“

“We are pretty lucky here in SoCal next to our neighbor to the south thus have lots of decent places for tacos and such. And perhaps I don't get in trouble by saying this but when you see a place is mixed with everyone with lots of our southern neighbors customers you know the place is legit. We haven't order anything, food wise, here and didn't like it, tacos, burritos, bowl and yesterday some chips with carne asada and they were all great, portion is nice, price is good and tasty stuff is what you will get.Been drinking tequila for a while but lately switch over to mezcal and love it. The bartender gave me a warning about the smokiness but ordered a coconut margarita with half sweetened and it just good. The mezcal smokiness it's just right but can't say the same thing for whisky though, anyone out there have an explanation or just personal preference. Next time will try something a bit smokier and see if I like it.“

“The food? IMPECCABLE. I went with a large group of friends and we decided to try just about everything, sharing around the table. Yum! Best. Idea. Ever. The Ambiance was just as we had hoped - ideal for us to comfortably hang out and yap a bit. It was a perfectly fun and inviting atmosphere. The service? AMAZING. We had Mikey as our server. He was so fun, so attentive, so friendly. You'd think he was just one of our group. He made us feel welcome and watched over. I can't wait to come back to Salt Creek! And, Yes! We are asking for Mikey! So should you!“

“This is a stellar restaurant with a great family-owned vibe. Chef Rob is brilliant and the apps, entrees, and desserts are all exquisite. His creativity that he lets loose in his Flight Club events is unparalleled. They have extra-friendly staff and elite customer service. And the fine dining experience comes with a fair price and an amazing value. Check it out and meet the Chef, you won’t be disappointed.“
