“The cheesecakes here are so good. Super soft, moist, and fluffy! They’re slightly sweet, which is so addicting. I love the original flavor the most. The pandan one wasn’t that good.
The strawberry burnt basque cakes is also very good. It’s better than the original one.
Parking sucks though because the shop shares a small lot with many other stores, so it’s always difficult to find parking unless you come right when they open.“

“Was looking for a red bean bun and found this place. Very impressed with the variety of breads, cakes and buns (bao buns) here. They have Asian flavors that are not easily found in other Asian bakeries like pandan and of course they also have staples like taro, red bean, pork buns etc.

On the weekend, they'd have special pastry (I'd have to come back and check them out) and they also sell some drinks like Vietnamese coffee and milk tea.

The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly. Bring cash if you don't want to pay the 3% service charge.“

The cake was a bit dry, and to some degree there is only a good cake or not good cake; hard to be blown away by anything there. The frosting/flavors add fun options and were where the cupcakes were good, making up for the deficit in the cakes themselves. Overall, it’s a fun shop, definitely worth a try or two!“

“Like a few others here, I am a native New Yorker with a love for authentic and delicious rugulach with proper and freash ingredients.Chewy's rugulach is the best there is here on the west coast.I pick up the chocolate rugulach at the cookie bar at Whole Foods Market in El Segundo, and you should too! “Trining’s is “in transition” and it shows. The front is a bit disorganized, but well divided into baked goods and ready-made take out products. The menu is hand-written on a wall-mounted white board (see pictures), but is easily understood and clearly legible.

Now, for the food—Very good! Loved the lumpia. The sweet chili sauce had just a hint of heat to it. Perfect!

We also got chicken adobo and pancit. Both were excellent. Since I ordered two combos to go, I was very careful not to tip the containers and tried to avoid contaminating the pancit with adobo sauce. All for naught. I must have leaned on the brakes a bit too heavily because the very fluid adobo sauce obeyed the laws of physics and colored both the pancit and lumpia. With dark, rich, peppery adobo flavoring. But—it was still great! The chicken adobo was tender and tasty, and the pancit was yummy, even though it tasted more like adobo than pancit. The lumpia, as I expected, was to die for. Crisp and crunchy with a hint of heat from the chili sauce. So good!

Well done Trining’s. Get your front together and I’ll be back. Can I bring some friends with me? I’ve got some East coast buddies who think egg rolls are the bomb. Your lumpia can easily blow that theory out of the water…“

“Nice relaxing evening chai place. The Bollywood song videos played on TV could sometimes get inappropriate for kids/teens based on US MPAA censor standards. Regarding food, few bakery items are prepared and supplied from LA. Prefer the dishes that get prepared by order at the in-house kitchen. Cakes could seem pricey, but hey, they are eggless and not many options like that nearby.
