“I like the cookies. But the last time I went to Crumbl, we walked in and waited for six minutes. The worker in the store totally ignored us. Finally, we tried the self-checkout, but the credit card reader wasn’t working. So we waited for five more minutes. She still ignored us. Finally, we got her attention, and we had to enter the credit card number manually.
I only gave it four stars because the worker could tell we were upset, so she gave us a free cookie. Also, $5.50 for one cookie?!“

“We stopped by Darshan Bakery hoping to grab a cinnamon roll, but they were out at the time. We ended up getting the pull-apart cinnamon roll instead. The flavor was good, but I do wish it had been served warm or at least offered the option to warm it up. The bakery itself has a cozy vibe, we went at 9:20am, we’d definitely give it another try earlier in the day next time.“

“Only had lunch here two times but it was absolutely the best deli meal I have had and I am originally from Manhattan. The food is the best, generous portions, the staff is great, prices are good for today’s times and for what you get. We will be back!!!❤️“

“I went in for the first time a week ago and ordered a custom birthday cake and the staff were so kind and accommodating to what i asked for, and the cake looked exactly like the picture i showed them! The cake was delicious and even though it was pricey i would definitely buy from them again for upcoming holidays, the quality was incredible and it tasted so fresh!“

“The cheesecakes here are so good. Super soft, moist, and fluffy! They’re slightly sweet, which is so addicting. I love the original flavor the most. The pandan one wasn’t that good.
The strawberry burnt basque cakes is also very good. It’s better than the original one.
Parking sucks though because the shop shares a small lot with many other stores, so it’s always difficult to find parking unless you come right when they open.“

Parking: I think it's okay except that there are more businesses and a restaurant on one side and it takes longer but it is very big“

“My favorite place to get caneles! The original and chocolate flavors are both really good. I tend to get a basque cheesecake too! Sooo good and lots of great flavors to choose from. Love stopping here for a sweet treat on my way home from work. The owner is always so sweet and welcoming too!“

“We found a gem! We live in Arizona and haven’t been able to find bean cakes anywhere. Saw a review for Tasty Bakery in San Diego. Said it was close to San Francisco Chinatown food, and since we were in the area, went by to check it out. Hubby has been craving bean cakes and we found them here! We wanted a dozen, but she only had ten left so we bought all ten. We bought a few coconut cakes too. The BBQ pork bun was huge and filled with deliciousness. Bought a couple of coconut custard buns too. I used to get those at a bakery in San Francisco on my way to work. We’d drive to San Diego just to come here for bean cakes!!“

“Came here this Thursday morning right when they opened. They have limited parking and bakery will validate. We ordered the ham & cheese croissant and it was very flakey and delicious. Also, ordered the chocolate monkey bread, almond monkey bread, and the almond croissant. Lady behind the counter was very nice and friendly. When we left the bakery, there was a line out the door“

“They have the best cupcakes ever. It is a little more than what I’d like to pay for cupcakes, but it’s definitely worth it. The red velvet is my favorite and the frosting they use is delicious. It’s not too sweet or overbearing like other buttercream frostings that I’ve had. It’s just right. I would definitely recommend you stop and check them out if your in the area. I do wish they had more locations“
“Food from heaven! I moved away from San Diego but I asked my friend to take balboa bakery all the way for me. My persian azizam pissed them off saying this is not even the authentic middle eastern bakery but trust me that little brown flower will make you forget what authenticity is“

“We live an hour away from the Mira Mesa Red Ribbon so when we have an appointment in the San Diego area, we make sure to drop by and pick up some Empanada, mamons, cakes and pancit palabok.
Today, I ordered, went to other stores nearby and was supposed to go back and pick up my order but totally forgot.
I called after realizing it when we got home expecting nothing but tried anyway. The lady I spoke with, Sol, was nice enough to let me pick it up at another time. That's great customer service in my book. Thank you!“
“I discovered their sourdough bread at Costco couple years ago and since then, it has become a staple at our house. It’s SO GOOD I eat a slice or two every morning with Irish butter, and as soon as I run out I go to Costco, lol. It’s the best sourdough bread and I always look forward to enjoying it with my coffee.“

“Their food was amazing! I had the panini vegano and I’ve been searching online how to make that eggplant tofu paste. Everything went so well in that sandwich! It also had olives, vegan feta, arugula and a hint of harissa (in the menu it said red bell pepper or something like that, but I believe they used harissa and it was the best!!). I can’t wait to go again and get the same and get other things haha. My partner and I also tried their pistachio croissant, which h was delicious! Their matcha was great, and the drinks highlight was their dirty chai. Everything was sooo good!“

“Hole in the wall store front. First visit and regret not stopping here many times before - definitely some of the best food in SD - the seeded baguette was really good - the walnut scone was better (not as hard) at the Carlsbad store (back to back visits).“
“Like a few others here, I am a native New Yorker with a love for authentic and delicious rugulach with proper and freash ingredients.Chewy's rugulach is the best there is here on the west coast.I pick up the chocolate rugulach at the cookie bar at Whole Foods Market in El Segundo, and you should too! Just the most delicious snack one could ask for. Love the raspberry (not usually a Raspberry fan of anything) and the apricot as well!“

“So good! I tried the cinnamon roll and was absolutely blown away! In my option it’s the best gf cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. Even my gluten eating fiancé was impressed and said he couldn’t tell it was gf. The honey nut bread is tasty and so was the cookie that I sampled. I’m excited to try all the things!“

“Cute bakery, but they need to be more attentive to their desserts. They were delicious and had a mix of flavors, they were some trays that were empty and the employees didn’t paid to much attention. Prices are likely the same as the competition. You get access to the bakery through the Asian market. Spacious parking lot.“

“I got the banana bread matcha and it was probably the best matcha I’ve had in my entire life. Not to be absolutely dramatic, but it was life changing. Was it $8? Yes. Would I spend it again on this matcha? absolutely. I’m so picky when it comes to matcha and that was amazing. 10/10 will be bringing all of my friends here.“

“Trining’s is “in transition” and it shows. The front is a bit disorganized, but well divided into baked goods and ready-made take out products. The menu is hand-written on a wall-mounted white board (see pictures), but is easily understood and clearly legible.
Now, for the food—Very good! Loved the lumpia. The sweet chili sauce had just a hint of heat to it. Perfect!
We also got chicken adobo and pancit. Both were excellent. Since I ordered two combos to go, I was very careful not to tip the containers and tried to avoid contaminating the pancit with adobo sauce. All for naught. I must have leaned on the brakes a bit too heavily because the very fluid adobo sauce obeyed the laws of physics and colored both the pancit and lumpia. With dark, rich, peppery adobo flavoring. But—it was still great! The chicken adobo was tender and tasty, and the pancit was yummy, even though it tasted more like adobo than pancit. The lumpia, as I expected, was to die for. Crisp and crunchy with a hint of heat from the chili sauce. So good!
Well done Trining’s. Get your front together and I’ll be back. Can I bring some friends with me? I’ve got some East coast buddies who think egg rolls are the bomb. Your lumpia can easily blow that theory out of the water…“

“We just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to SusieCakes for making Audrey’s day today. She had just come from a vaccine doctor appointment and I promised she could pick out a special cupcake that I’d planned to pay for with cash. But due to COVID changes, only credit cards are accepted and I’d completely forgotten mine. We went to check the car for a card with no luck, and while out there, the employee came out with Audrey’s cupcake as a ‘gift’ instead. THANK YOU for making my daughter’s day because I was feeling so bad I was going to have to skip her special treat because I didn’t have the right form of payment. We’ll be back for sure! The cupcake was delicious!!“

“The strawberry tiramisu is incredibly delicious! Super light, spongy, creamy. Highly recommend! They also have little brownies topped with powdered chocolate. The brownies seem to be layered and are not like your typical brownie, they are a lot more “fudgy”.“
“Hidden lil gem! (Inside supermarket to the left from entrance, across from Ngon Ngon, my other fave)
Turon: nice and crispy cronchy. Not super sugary or heavy, very delicious
Carioca: Sugary, nice crunchy crust, bit of coconut flavor on inside.
Only 1$ each!!!!!
Cash is easier for the lady but they do have tap to pay, owner is a bit older 🥺 so I recommend cash.
Got a pan of ube hopia as well but haven't tried yet because I'm bringing to share, anyway I recommend checking this place out!“

“Had my first taste of Boudin sourdough bread in Disneys California Adventure. The bread is just as good here but not warm. The chowder was really good in the bread bowl and so was the chili. (There are brands in their chili). No line to order but we could have ordered from our phone if there was. Plenty of tables to choose from. Needs a good sweet tea option though.“

“Delicious scratch-made food! I had the breakfast special and the plate was full to the brim of yummy eggs, breakfast potatoes with onions & bacon and toasted, buttered baguette! And, oh! “Enjoyed the Japanese cheesecake and boba tea at Mad for Cheesecake in Pacific Highlands Ranch in Carmel Valley. The taro and brown sugar milk teas were very tasty. It was our first time having Japanese cheesecake and we’re surprised it was more like ice cream than an American cheesecake. Loved the opportunity to try something new! Very friendly and quick service. Recommend!“
