“My husband and I have tried this place several times. We really enjoyed it! And $13.99 for the cheapest option minus upgrades is amazing. But this last time we visited they have now started charging for all the broth flavors. Before it was the basic dashi flavor that you get at no added charge and if you wanted a different flavor you pay more which I understand. But now you're charged extra for all of the broths on top of the $13.99. It's just disappointing seeing as this is hot pot and the broth is a necessity so you have no choice but to pay the extra $2.99-$4.99. If you don't mind that then I would give this place a try. We really did enjoy the food, it was delicious.”

The atmosphere truly makes you feel like you're in Japan. And the flavors are slightly adjusted to suit American palates, everything, from the sushi to the hot dishes, is full of rich, fresh, and satisfying taste. Highly recommend if you’re craving a genuine Japanese dining experience!”

“Went on a lunch date with my cousin. Thanksgiving left overs weren’t enough for us lol!

Parking: They’re located in the corner of a plaza. Free parking lot. We couldn’t find a spot within their area, so we parked near the grocery store.

Ambiance/Environment: They have a very casual, warm, & welcoming environment. They also have a small space. There’s a decent amount of seating.

Service: Once you walk in, you’ll be greeted and asked whether you’d like to dine in, take out or pick up. We decided to dine in. Shout out to Jesse & James! They were very knowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and attentive! We ordered via the tablet and paid at the register in the end.

What we ordered:

1) Combo B - We decided to share the Yupdduk (jjajang spice level). This came with boiled eggs and veggie fries and sweated rice balls on the side. The veggie fries had the perfect crisp, the rice balls tasted as expected, and the boiled eggs were cooked well. The sauce was absolutely flavorful! The rice cakes were very fulfilling! Make sure to immediately mix the cheese!

2) Boneless Chicken Feet (appetizer) - We were told this was one of their popular appetizer. We ordered this mild. Their special sauce was also flavorful! The chicken feet were cooked well. Although I’m not sure what makes this boneless bc I bit into small pieces of bone .. lol.

3) Spam Mayo Rice Bowl (appetizer) - Another popular appetizer recommended to us. We really enjoyed this! Can’t go wrong with a classic dish!

4) Fish Cake Soup - My cousin wanted something soupy. The soup wasn’t too salty. It came with a generous amount of fish cakes. Perfect for the cold weather.

5) Salted Caramel Milk Tea w/ boba (100% sweet) & Mango Green Tea w/ Lychee jelly (0% sweet) - I really enjoyed my drink! The boba was okay .. some pieces were chewy and some were hard. We were told the Mango Green Tea already has syrup, so she didn’t want anymore sugar. It was still a bit sweeter than she’d like, but she did enjoy the lychee jelly!

Pricing: The prices are fair $$, especially for the amount that you get. Everything was so flavorful, rich, and fulfilling.”

“Tucked away in quiet street in busy Diamond Bar, behind the throngs of strip mall shops is a little Thai restaurant. The decor is calming and everything looked new.

Instead of a lunch special, I opted for a full meal and had plenty of leftovers. The Pad See You was excellent with chunks of chicken and flavorful. I also opted for the Beef Satay appetizer. However the portion was huge and dinner size at $15. I spent more than I wanted for lunch but had a second meal. Now that I’m closer to Mt Sac during lunch, I’m exploring all the options that busy Diamond Bar has to offer.

Skip the ice water and get the green iced tea. Yum.”

“came here and tried their minis. they were a little costly, but a nice occasional treat. i got the semi-sweet chocolate chunk, cookie dough, and blueberry muffin, which all looked like the picture. i think the warm cookies were the best, and the more recently they come out of the oven the better. service was great and friendly, store was clean.”

“I decided to order some Tonkatsu from Ginkgo Katsu, on a food delivery app based on the good reviews. Thankfully the reviews were on-point this time! The Katsu arrived in this kind of fancy, big box with the meal in different sections - the Tonkatsu, rice, cabbage salad, Katsu sauce; then separately was the curry sauce (I ordered extra), pickled veggies, dressing. Everything was delicious with generous portions. I would most definitely get a meal from Ginkgo Katsu, again and again”

“A certified Diamond Bar classic. Everything is solid here, from the pho, to the rice plates and appetizers. The pricing is reasonable (expect to spend in the low 10's per person) and portions are good sized. They have two TV's in the case you wanted to catch a basketball game or football game as you eat. Would recommend if you're in the area, but would not be a place you drive out for.”

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! So kind, friendly, and funny. I can't wait to come back again!”

“I was looking for an Oreo cake and this is the only bakery that had one near me. It’s inside the grocery store, near the right side entrance. Everything looked delicious and fresh. “Surprisingly tasty! It's a hole-in-the-wall type of family restaurant. Food portions are substantial and rather affordable in price. Taste? Authentic mama type of cooking.

- Wonton: It is very good, but not the best in Socal like someone suggested.
- Pot stickers: The best dish today. Very crispy and filled with lean meat. Little fat.
- Porridge: porridge of the day is a sweet millet porridge. Not bad, very "Taiwan" like
- Steamed bun: lots of filling. Great baos.

Overall, satisfied and will be back! Recommend!”

“I started going to this Waba Grill pretty recently when passing through the area, and I gotta say, it's my favorite one to go to! By far the cleanest one, my food is served quickly with the correct portions, and all in all I could tell people work efficiently around here. The last few times I went, I was served by Jaime and Alex; I've had different vibes from different workers across different locations, but I feel I get the best vibes when coming here and when I've been served by these two! 5/5 would recommend pulling up if you're in the area.”

“The wonton noodle soup here is the best I’ve ever had and such an amazing value as well. They give you so many wontons (I think I counted 6) and they’re huge, and they also give you so much meat! I did wish I had extra noodle for all the meat and wontons I was given so I’ll definitely be ordering extra next time. One order of this dish was enough for 3 meals for me. I’ll never get wonton noodle soup at a different place again. I also love the packaging they use when you order to-go, it keeps the toppings and noodles separate from the broth and the steam from the broth keeps everything warm. The temperature of the broth was nice and hot as well. Can’t wait to come back!”
