“Love the atmosphere and decor at this location. We ordered the Golden Pot, Cucumber Salad, and a variety of skewers. The cucumber salad was amazing and the Shanghai Sausage and lamb were standouts among the skewers.”

“Location: Diamond Bar Blvd, inside a quiet strip mall plaza (plenty of parking). South of Temple Ave and North of the 60 freeway off of diamond bar blvd exit.

Seating: Around 8-9 tables, good for small groups or solo diners.

‍ Service: Only one staff member working when I went, but she was friendly and attentive.

Hotpot Style: a little different from the other solo pot restaurant. Each person gets their own pot. You choose your meats & ingredients, then cook them yourself--no overcooked food, no broth boiling over. I liked this style a lot.

Overall: Chill weekday vibe, quiet atmosphere ( not sure if its a slow time or the area is naturally quiet) , and a solid 3.5-4 experience. Great spot if you enjoy solo hotpot without the rush.”

“My family and I are loyal regulars at Young Dong Tofu House—it’s hands down our favorite among all the tofu houses we’ve tried!

The restaurant is always clean, and comfortable, and the service is consistently excellent. The staff are attentive and often check in to see if we’d like more side dishes, which we truly appreciate.

Among the side dishes— the kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake are my top favorites—fresh, flavorful, and always satisfying. The tofu soup paired with brown rice is simply perfect. And the best part? The rice that gets crispy at the bottom of the hot stone pot can be softened with roasted barley tea to make a comforting scorched rice soup—it’s such a delightful way to end the meal.

Every visit leaves us full and happy. It’s not just a meal—it feels like comfort in a bowl. Can’t wait for our next visit!”

“We had Gamjatang and the seafood pancake, and the pancake was so good with a lot of actual seafood, and the gamjatang soup was just amazing! The flavor of the soup didn't feel artificial or sharp, and instead had a very deep but smooth flavor that I appreciated a ton. Me and my wife easily finished the meat in the gamjatang, and brought the soup back home to make fried rice and that also tasted amazing! Will be back again for more”

“Tucked away in quiet street in busy Diamond Bar, behind the throngs of strip mall shops is a little Thai restaurant. The decor is calming and everything looked new.

Instead of a lunch special, I opted for a full meal and had plenty of leftovers. The Pad See You was excellent with chunks of chicken and flavorful. I also opted for the Beef Satay appetizer. However the portion was huge and dinner size at $15. I spent more than I wanted for lunch but had a second meal. Now that I’m closer to Mt Sac during lunch, I’m exploring all the options that busy Diamond Bar has to offer.

“I decided to order some Tonkatsu from Ginkgo Katsu, on a food delivery app based on the good reviews. Thankfully the reviews were on-point this time! The Katsu arrived in this kind of fancy, big box with the meal in different sections - the Tonkatsu, rice, cabbage salad, Katsu sauce; then separately was the curry sauce (I ordered extra), pickled veggies, dressing. Everything was delicious with generous portions. I would most definitely get a meal from Ginkgo Katsu, again and again”

“I ordered from for the first time today and I must say that it was the greatest decision I made today! I ordered their Katsu sandwich and fries and it was delicious!

The bread was soft, the Katsu was crispy and full of flavor and most of all the coleslaw on the middle was sweet and tasty! The fries were the perfect side to it, they were cooked just right and they complimented the sandwich so well.

They also have a variety of drinks that can cater to everyone's tastes. Even though it ordered a coke today next time I will try the tea.

The pricing is reasonable (expect to spend in the low 10's per person) and portions are good sized. They have two TV's in the case you wanted to catch a basketball game or football game as you eat. Would recommend if you're in the area, but would not be a place you drive out for.”

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! So kind, friendly, and funny. I can't wait to come back again!”

“I have been eating at Mandarin Taste since I was 4 years old. Since when they used to have to polaroid pictures taped to the wall where you waited for your seat. Since the shopping center was a thriving place for business.
I have been gone from the area for years now, but I came home over the summer and after a shopping trip at Brea Mall, I craved some Szechwan beef and nostalgia. Upon walking in, we noticed some small changes. The polaroid pictures are gone (mines was up there!) but everything else was exactly the same. Including the staff. They have of course aged as we all have, but I remember them in their younger years. We ordered all our old favorites. The pu-pu platter, chow mein, fried rice, and Szechwan beef. All of it tasted exactly the way it did the last time we had it. The consistency of this place is insane and much appreciated. The service was good too. I don't have any issues with Mandarin Taste and we always had great food and a good time here over so many years. Graduations, births, birthdays, and job promotions. All celebrated here. It made me sad to see the shopping center as desolate as it was. In the 80's and 90's, it was a busy place and again, many memories being there. I'm glad to see that Mandarin Taste has been able to remain and among so much change, they have been able to stay the same. Thanks for the memories. Please support this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.”

Salmon and tuna are the most dominant options and they carry some unique toppings. Kimchi, pickles, ika (squid) sansai salad and hot cheetos are just a few things on the bar you can add.

Finish off with their house sauce and you've got a nice quick lunch for about $15.

It's harder to justify paying $15 - $20 for quick service these days but when you feel taken care of and appreciated you best believe I will come back.

“I think this is my favorite bakery that beats other korean bakeries like paris baguette and tous les jours. It's got a very homey, ma and pa vibe, and the owner always greets you with a smile and says a warm farewell. And god, I love their pastries and breads.”

“Went for a quick breakfast. Got a Mocha Latte and a Sausage and Bacon breakfast burrito. I thought it was a little pricey at $21. Burrito had a lot of potatoes and a little underseasoned. Overall it was really good and all ingredients tasted homemade. The atmosphere was different, yes it was a little cluttered but I personally dont mind that. Limited seating is available so I recommend getting to food to go. I think I'll give this place another shot next time I am around.”

“I started going to this Waba Grill pretty recently when passing through the area, and I gotta say, it's my favorite one to go to! By far the cleanest one, my food is served quickly with the correct portions, and all in all I could tell people work efficiently around here. The last few times I went, I was served by Jaime and Alex; I've had different vibes from different workers across different locations, but I feel I get the best vibes when coming here and when I've been served by these two! 5/5 would recommend pulling up if you're in the area.”
