GREAT PLACE FOR WEDDING. THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC STAGES. SWEET DUCKS AND CATS AND SWEET DOG JUST CHILLIN. THE WHOLE STAFF WAS SO POSITIVE AND KIND AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO CREATE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. ITS LIKE A PARTY IN YOUR BACKYARD WITH THE BEST BEER ON TAP . CHEERS TO FRIENDS FAMILY“

“We went this evening to be so disappointed. Normally order Fish n Chips unfortunately they changed their brand and most of all Quality. If I wanted a Gortons Fish Fillet with minced fish meat then I would of bought a box from super Market and served those with Oreidas fries at home. Usually they serve nice pieces of Cod. Always in the past been Good. Tonight's Quality and Quantity was lack there of. $18.50 for 1 Piece of minced Fish and my husband had literally 16 bits and pieces of French fry on his plate. He was still hungry when we left. According to waitress there have been several complaints so I'm glad we aren't only customers to complain. Waitress took our Dinner off Bill we paid for our beverages and tipped her nicely because it's not her fault. Word to the Owner: In this economy when people want to dine out and come to spend their hard earned money on a nice meal Don't Cut Corners on your Quality of Food. Otherwise you will find customers will make other dining choices and boycott your business and eventually your business will suffer. We won't be back anytime soon. We DON'T recommend the Fish n Chips“

“Hidden gem in the West side of Davis. Upscale Italian restaurant that has limited tables inside and outside dining also. The service was outstanding. Patricia checked on us frequently and had us laughing all night. We had the gnocchi special for an appetizer and it was the best I've ever had. Light and pillowy with a sauce that was to die for. For main courses, the unique squid ink spaghetti was delicious, the filet special was a large portion and cooked perfectly and the risotto was great. Finished off the meal with coffees and crema bruciata, afogato and a special tri-chocolate cake. If you're looking for a great Italian food experience, this is your place. Highly recommend reservations.“

“I just ordered poke bowls with spicy salmon and salmon bomb to pick up. I enjoyed first three bites and I saw a black short hair with my rice. I love and enjoy the poke bowls at this place for three years and kinda getting disappointed. I know people work hard and try to provide the best service. Hope this thing never happens again.“

“They messed up our order at my job holiday treat dinner and I was so upset how my Store Manager Monique went out her way to treat the crew. I called and General Store Manager Wuan gave the Manager who is a faithful customer the whole meal over and done right. He didn't not complain or be mad he was very polite and nice despite my attitude remained very courteous and professional and I respect that. The staff was super nice and friendly. Ordered a double cheeseburger and it was very filling. Paired with fries and a soda though, ended up paying 20 bucks. I definitely wouldn't be able to come here often due to the price, but when you're craving a good burger this is definitely a great joint.“

“You order at the counter, then they bring your order to the table. A very popular breakfast place with an extensive menu. Good salads remixed. Indoor and outdoor seating. It can be loud inside, but you can go to the separate bar to eat off the same menu. The bar has table service and is much quieter during the day. The restaurant is inside a nice hotel.“

I'm having a party soon and was unsure what sandwiches work best (appealing to multiple different tastes, least amount of mess, etc.) for large groups of people. It's obvious these girls value great customer service, and are quite the saleswomen to boot. Popped in just to ask some questions, left with the answers and an unplanned sandwich. “I used to come to this restaurant in the mid '00s, and it changed both name and ownership at some point between then and now. Perhaps I'm having a bit of nostalgia fogging, but it seems the quality declined somewhat the change. However, Nami is still a perfectly serviceable mid-range sushi restaurant even if they are no longer a hidden top-tier gem the way I remember them having been in 2005. Their sashimi continues to be decent, as do their bento boxes. They rolled out an AYCE menu at some point as well, but I haven't tried this as I tend to be skeptical of AYCE anywhere. The lunch service tends to run a bit slow even when the place is nearly empty, which I find mildly frustrating when I'm in a hustle to get back to work. The staff does seem to have some difficulty with English (they speak Cantonese as their primary language), which has made for difficulties in recent visits (explaining that I was not in fact ordering AYCE), but I have since become somewhat of a regular so they remember my preferences, which is a nice touch. I wouldn't call this a destination restaurant, but I appreciate it for its convenience and its prices which I find to be far more reasonable than many other Japanese restaurants in Davis. All in all, a good mix of quality, convenience, and cost -- a good lunchtime choice for folks who live and/or work in East Davis.“
