“We got the ice cream cake with chocolate cake and chocolate chip and mint chip ice cream. The ice cream cake was good and fresh. The whip cream wasn’t that good but every else was good. We got great service. Everyone enjoyed the birthday cake. Ten out of ten recommend. They have plenty of parking and no public restroom.“

Dietary restrictions: Has keto and dairy free (using coconut cream and/or oat milk) ice cream, ice cream with alcohol infused has a low ABV so it's consider non alcoholic (you can definitely still taste the alcohol)
Parking: Street parking right in front and down the street, large parking lots about a block and 2 blocks south“

“The bolo bao ice cream sandwich was the bomb! I had it with ube ice cream. The garlic fries - lots of fresh garlic with a side of bomb lemon aoili and house sauce! The best! Passionfruit green tea was perfect for the hot weather! So cute inside too! It's a smaller space and a one man show. Everything is made fresh so please be patient - it's worth the wait! “This Taiyaki + Ice Cream place is at the level of other giants such as SomiSomi. The soft serve has a perfect texture (I tried the Pure Milk flavor with a Taiyaki on top, the Taiyaki being filled with Nutella), the service is quick and efficient, and the store was crowded when my two friends and I went on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is great too, there are so many pictures showing what the options are like, and there are clearly-illustrated menus spread throughout the restaurant. The toppings are available for the customers to grab and add to their ice cream as they wish, and everything, from the Oreo crumbs to the Banana chips are great. You can truly feel that every single item in this store is, indeed, made With Love.“

Parking: My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting La Michoacana Ice Cream University, a Mexican ice cream shop. We were looking for snacks to take out for the movies and we were craving some esquites. And so I quickly searched one up and found this place. This is located in a plaza and they're right across from the Azusa Pacific University. And now I know why they named the shop as such. Finding parking is really easy, I had no trouble finding parking although it was at night. But I'm pretty sure during the day you can easily find parking there.Food Selection: We ordered two small esquites – for the uninitiated, esquites are Mexican snacks made with corn kernels, similar to elote but served warm in disposable cups, minus the cob. We also ordered a fruit bowl topped with chamoy and tajin. While everything was delicious, the standout was definitely the fruit bowl, with the chamoy and tajin. It was flavorful and filling. (I will attach pictures of the food for reference.)Ambiance: Stepping inside, the shop was very clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I noticed in the front of the shop that they have free Wi-Fi but it was password protected. So I'm assuming that you need to ask one of the staff for the password if you want to study there for a while.Staff and Service: Though I didn't catch our server/cashier's name, he was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I really like the fact that before handling the food, he washed his hands before attending to us– a small yet crucial detail that deserves commendation.Recommendation: I highly recommend La Michoacana Ice Cream University for anyone seeking some delicious Mexican snacks and ice cream! As a first-timer at a La Michoacana establishment, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the experience. I'm eager to return and continue supporting this small business.Date and Time of Visit: November 2023 on a Sunday.

“What unique flavors !!! So glad we stopped by on a hot day . They had some amazing ice cream . We loved the guava !! It was our favorite . The lemon biscoff was really good too . “Just not ice cream. They actually have a lot of snacks from japan. Don't let the metal fencing out front discourage you. Keep in mind you are going to a warehouse so there are no thrills or frills. They allow you to buy in bulk so if you are having a party this is the spot.“

“Went in with my daughter on Wednesday afternoon 5/29 and the girl helping us did such a great job. She was inviting, engaging, and had a positive attitude. Most importantly she was consistently like that with all the customers that came in. Her co worker was just as efficient. Nice job team. Keep it up. Good service is a lost art form.“

“Delicious frozen yogurt and a variety of toppings! I’ve been coming to this location for many years and they always have consistently yummy staple flavors and seasonal ones too. Over time they’ve added new toppings like strawberry or mango popping boba and different flavored gummies. They have fresh fruit, chocolate toppings, mochi bits, cheesecake bites, watermelon gummies, nuts, Oreos, and more. Their employees were cheerful and efficient.

“I bought 2 orders of the churro sundae. Comes with 2 (6 inch) churros with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. The place was great, staff was great they went above and beyond. I only had one issue. One of the churros was great crispy and chewy in the center but the other one was stale. It happened with both of my orders. I will try it out one more time to see if it happens again. Otherwise, the flavor was delicious.“

“I've been going here for 15 years+. They have the best tasting water. I live a hour away and we moved in 2019 and that never stopped us from going. The owner is super nice as well is her daughter. I love getting my iced tea there as well.“

“I had a (vegan) chocolate sorbet that was the best vegan dessert I’ve ever had. You don’t know it’s vegan. It holds up as a fabulous chocolate dessert even if it wasn’t vegan. It’s like rich dark chocolate mousse that’s almost frozen….smooth but slightly “icy”.“
