“We were set to go to Shabu King (since our kids wanted individual hot pot) but they were closed due to power outage, so we ended up here, and we are so glad we did! I think it exceeded our expectations, since we really were looking for Chinese-style Hot Pot (Japanese-style, which Shabu King was, has lighter, less pungent flavors), and we were so happy we went to Happy Lamb! We were able to fit 9 people around their large round table (which held 3 hot pots), and we were really happy with the price and selection (all kids under 13 are half off!). The kids enjoyed the optional $1.99 add on of access to the dipping sauces, fruit, dessert, soft serve (the icy, cheap stuff) and soft drinks, but in the future the hot pot soup bases were so delicious, I don't think we would need the dipping sauces in the future (and would avoid the sugary sodas and bad ice cream in the future). We did save the "bad ice cream" by putting it in root beer or orange soda, that made it taste a lot better. :) The $20.99 per person option is available weekday lunches, otherwise, weekday dinners or weekends all day, the lowest tier option is $28.99, so the weekday lunch option is really a great value! Amazing selection of additional veggies, mushrooms, different types of noodles, seafood, pork belly, as well as some freshly-cooked fried options (their chicken wings were SOOOO good! The gyozas were really impressive as well, so tasty they did not need any sauce), etc., and our favorite meat option out of the ordered meat was the hand-sliced beef short plate, since it had more marbling/fat and was the most tender. As for the soup bases, we tried the original, sour and spicy cabbage, and the spicy versions, and they were all great! You can get half/half of any of the soup options (not just original and spicy) so it is very customizable. This is definitely THE place for Chinese hot pot newbies to try it out, since I think one of the harder things to figure out is what kind of dipping sauce to make for your cooked food (since usually the broth is pretty bland and you need the sauces), so since their broth is so tasty, there really is no need for dipping sauces. The staff were so helpful and nice, we will definitely be back again for other birthdays and special occasions!“

“If you want to score the 10 points limit I will play 5 points, the meat is OK, other general, but the soup bottom is very salty, the soup bottom of the hot pot should be light because the meat and other are to be with sauce, the hot pot soup bottom is too salty will let the guests drink a lot of water, so enjoy the fun of food on the big discount, may not patronize!“

“Are you Team Hot Pot OR Team Dry Pot? If I can't have both, then I'm prob Team Dry Pot when it comes to malatang! For those who love building their own bowls, you have to bookmark this place! The concept is fun and simple. Grab a bowl, fill it with ingredients you want, weigh it (they charge by weight), then let the cashier know your pot preference (soup or dry) and spice levels.
The spice levels are serious here, so be ready to break a sweat. They have a little sauce bar too which adds a nice touch to both types of bowls. Pricing is fair here, especially if you get mostly meat, and I definitely had enough leftovers for another meal to take back.“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. Overall my chakra levels increased and I can now go on to master spinjutsu! We love you Tecca! 10/10“

“Their recent all you can eat with price of $29.99 is unbeatable deal! As a born and raised in Sichuan Chinese, I enjoyed their very authentic spicy pot very very much! There are many other flavors to choose from and so many varieties of sauces to add to your taste bud! Service is excellent! Food is fresh. I plan to go there at least once a month to satisfy my gravy craving for very authentic Chinese hot pot. On top of that, they also have authentic Sichuan dishes to enjoy!“

“I ordered to go and was able to choose from a very comprehensive list of ingredients. When I arrived, I was greeted by two friendly and kind staff who were busy working away. It was quite busy on a weekday around lunch time. As for the food, the soup was delicious and they were very generous with the ingredients. I got the classic bone broth in spicy and it was perfect for a cold rainy day after suffering from the flu. I highly recommend this restaurant because of the friendly atmosphere and will be coming back when the craving for hot noodle soup kicks in.“
