“Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was the perfect dinner! The service was outstanding and we felt attended to throughout the entire evening, from our waiter to the chef stopping by and asking us how we enjoyed the food. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. “I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. “Meals and memories are made here at Bianca’s deli. Bianca’s deli (est 1983) is a small Mediterranean deli cafe in East Hollywood. They serve fresh, healthy salads, wraps, sandwiches, panini and pasta. Furthermore, they offer good breakfast and coffee. They provide exceptional service and food. Anchovy was not fishy at all. If I was eating blindfolded, I would not have guessed the toast had anchovies. My new go-to! Service was helpful. We called our order ahead for pickup. “We had some delicious shawarma platters! The number of combinations you can make with the sides and upgrade to the fattoush salad is great. We had one chicken shawarma platter with rice, babaganoush, and labneh and one chicken shawarma platter with fattoush salad, garlic paste, and pita chips. All of it was very tasty. The garlic Toum was particularly good, as was the fattoush salad. Each platter comes with two thin pitas (the best kind). The shawarma was a more stewed chicken with onions and tomatoes than the usual kind of dry shredded off the skewer but it was so flavorful! Maybe best not to get it on rice because the ice absorbs all the liquid. We also got a cilantro jalapeno hummus that had a tiny bit of a kick. Everything was good, and the people were very friendly. We will have to come back to try more things!“

“There is not very much seating in the inside and it's a very small space. Luckily it was a nice day outside, so we ate there. The Lulu plate was very good. Great seasoned beef matched perfectly with the rice. The chicken gyro was just okay. I like having tzatziki sauce in the gyro and it was not present. Instead, they make theirs with a sauce similar to mayonnaise, so I don't recommend that unless you prefer a more mayo flavor. Overall, good service and sizeable portions.“

So decided to look up a few places and while driving, I saw this at the corner and this place had been on my bookmarks for a while and decided to give this a go instead. Since it's downtown and midday parking is horrendous, but since they're located near an alley, homegirl parked on the red and came in to do a to go order. Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. Would be coming back just to try their plate .“

“Every time we come here the food and service are excellent, wonderful chicken and shish kebabs...hummus is creamy, to die for, the pita is wonderfully grilled to perfection and the right amount of crispy and soft. The seasoning is perfect, the portions are amazing you will not go home hungry! we come here often and the wait staff are always amazing, very nice and helpful. theres a lot of Mediterranean and Armenian places here in Glendale but this place should definitely be on your radar if you're looking for a great place just beyond the hustle of downtown Glendale.“

“This is an absolutely no frills restaurant with about 5 items on the menu, but they do them well. The monta (aka manti, mante) is the star of the show. Unlike other places that take a shortcut by using wonton skins, this place makes the dough from scratch and it really makes a difference. In addition to the baked monta, they also do a soup version in either tomato or yogurt. Their sou boereg ( Armenian cheese lasagna) is good also. All monta is cooked to order, so it does take a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth the wait. Have an appetizer while waiting. You can also visit their sister restaurant in Pasadena, though it's tiny with only two tables on the sidewalk.P.S. I read some reviews saying that monta is supposed to be made with phyllo dough. Uh, no. I helped my mom and grandma make monta from scratch and they use the same dough you'll find here. And I was born in Lebanon, my grandmother was a Genocide survivor. So they know how to make it.“

“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. “Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.“

“The team here is great. I had the pleasure of hosting a party here in December, they allowed me to book the entire place for the night with full service and entertainment. The owners treat you like family and make sure you have the best experience. Their pricing is also so fair, it's hard to believe how good it is. They were very flexible to what I wanted the party to look alike and accommodated as needed. I wish I had better pictures of the initial time of the party, but here's what I could find. The food was a hit with my guests, everyone said their kabob was great. I personally loved all the side dishes too!“
