“This is my absolute favorite place for a weekday lunch in the Marina. All of the ingredients are so fresh and everything I have ordered has been amazing! My favorite is the Californien (love the habanero mango hot sauce) with a side salad. They really don't skimp on the side salad, both in terms of size and toppings (figs, pears, pumpkin seeds, manchego, etc.) and the prices are reasonable too. The staff is so friendly as well. Cannot recommend this place enough!“
“Been here twice now- classic walk-up deli counter set-up where you pick up a number and once called you are ready to order. There is so much choice it's a difficult decision to make- first time round got the caprese- so fresh and simple but so so tasty sitting at fort mason in the sunshine devouring the soft bread with delicious ingredients, one of the lighter side sandwiches with not too much meat. Also had the Pat Burell- plenty of meat and pretty big, good roast beef sandwich with an italian twist, one of the pricier sandwiches on the menu- one of the personal go-to's. Have also tried the Caggiano- also just as delicious- you can really taste the freshness of the meat slices and nice and saucy on the soft ciabatta. Perfect sandwiches to take for a park picnic or stroll in the sun around crissy field. It is a to-go market so no seating inside. They also have shelves of intriguing Italian goodies to add to your picnic experience, although produce is a little on the pricier side. Will be back again to pick-up sandwiches for the perfect marina picnic day“

Service is great the ladies behind the counter always have a smile and have great attitudes when you order your sandwich. A woman from Rome was in line behind me and she was thrilled to see her father's favorite cookies in stock, as well as Italian football on TV. The line is long but efficient as long as customers do their part--know your order before you get to the counter! I'll probably be back eventually for salt cod and another amazing sandwich, as well as the general old North Beach vibe.“

“I'm not from the city but I used to work for a delivery courier out here. I stumbled into this place looking for water one day and I got "The Giants" pastrami sandwich. This was over a year ago and every time I come in to the city I will stop here if I can. I love "The Giants", "Tito's Special" and even the "Chicken Pesto". I LOVE THESE SANDWICHES WAY BETTER THAN IKES. Be patient with the lone cook he takes his time but makes the sandwiches with love. Recommend“
“Lucky enough to be introduced to this local Italian family owned gem on Union Street! I have had many sandwiches created here and have never been disappointed. You want the freshest and most flavorful cuts, try the Mr. Italiano on Dutch Crunch, it's a cold day-go for the soup and Italian grilled cheese or a hot Meatball on french bread. The paninis, omg, never pass up a panini! You gotta top it off with an Italian Coca-Cola, or you're just not doing it right. Soft breads, fresh cuts, and yummy cheeses with a side of Italian family banter and fun you can't go wrong stopping in here. “Awesome sandwich shop! You will not be disappointed going here. Their prices aren't cheap, but they're not expensive either. They charge a good price for their high quality meats. You can taste the quality when you take your first bite. The staff always acknowledge you even when you walk in by speaking to you, even at the times when they have a lot of customers. “I stopped in omw home from the post office...I was craving a pastry but the savory smell was too enticing to ignore. Once the fellow at the counter (I'm thinking proprietor) told me that they bake their bread fresh daily, I was sold. I asked for a recommendation, (which, in spite of his best efforts and cheerful patience as I tried - first to pronounce - and then memorize the name of the dish, completely eludes me now) but it was their specialty; a hot sandwich on warm soft flatbread with a mysterious selection of melted cheese, lamb sausage (I think!) and an egg omelet. I had every intention of taking a photo, but it smelled so wonderful that I forgot until, well, the picture below shows what was left. It was different, delicious and I will definitely be back!“

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the tuna was a little bit bland and I had to add salt and pepper - but other than that it was great and I will definitely be back. I ordered through Yelp and when I arrived at the pick up time they didn't seem to have seen my order, I recommend just walking in and ordering rather than using the app. They are very nice and made it right away so it didn't matter - just a tip for future customers!“

“One of the only liquor stores in my area that is actually open until 2am! They are always nice to me when I go in to the store. I docked one star because they don't have Bacardi Silver available about 50% of the time. But their prices are standard and they have a nice selection of ice cream and popsicles.“

“El Cerrito Natural grocery store has almost all organic fruits and vegetables. They do have meat, eggs and milk. Personally I always buy milk and sprouted bread from this store. They do have parking but it's always difficult to find a spot.“
