“Food was impeccable. It gave me something to look forward to next time i’m in SF. They kindly exchanged a curry platter that was too spicy for me personally after a small misunderstanding and were really sweet about the whole thing. 11/10“
“Mashaallah started out as a food truck but now has a stall in the food court of Westfield San Francisco. Despite its humble appearance, this small business offered some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the city from its steam table of freshly-prepared meat and vegetable curries. A star dish here (which came recommended by Soleil Ho) was the Lamb Korma, made of super tender, lean, meaty chunks of lamb in a spiced curry. On my combination plate, I also got the Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and the Palak Paneer (cheese cubes in a velvety puréed spinach sauce), served along with rice. Every item was delicately spiced and flavorful without being too salty, and the garnishes of raw onion and cilantro brought out the freshness of the dishes. On the side, I also had an order of Garlic Naan (another star item), which was perfectly soft and chewy and had a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic and herbs. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious, and the owners were so friendly and hospitable too!“
“Their lemon meringue pie and all the custards and yogurts I have tried are impeccable. Lexie is clearly really passionate about her product. Please support this local spot - it’s also priced beyond fairly! We brought ours into neighboring Freight and Salvage for a show (it’s allowed!) and then came back after the show for more…!Vegetarian options: Vegan options too!“
“I ordered a quesabirria taco and a burrito from here recently. The quesabirria was $5 for one that came with cucumber slices, one roasted jalapeno and one small cup of birria. It was amazing!! Really hit the spot in terms of flavor. The burrito on the other hand was good not great. It had a way too thick of a flour wrap around the burrito. I felt like I was eating a 30% flour wrap and only 70% filling. Otherwise, it was a good flavored burrito. I'll be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood for the quesabirria.“
“Sitting at the park bench at a smog shop on San Pablo, THIS is the gritty, urban, off- Gourmet Gulch affordable and lovingly made $3 taco experience you need to break out of the bubble. Slow simmered marinated chicken with a dollop of grilled onions, cut-up radishes what's not to like? Go there late enough for free side show entertainment! Across the street from this building north of Ashby...“
“I have been coming to chef elmy for 5 years. It is a very special experience and may favorite place to eat out in the east bay. If you are in a hurry come early or late… sometimes he gets very busy and there can be a long wait, but it is improving since he hired a “
“Flavor wise, always excellent. With inflation though, the prices keep rising and the churros are getting smaller for sure. I've been coming since I was a kid and was shocked at the size this last time. Still love this place though. There are other carts as well nearby, but I like this place. They take cash & card.“
“I have lived in Oakland for 20 years and honestly, I have seen the reviews years back and always had it in the back of my mind to check them out since they were close. However, I never got the chance because I would always forget. However, last week, my daughter wanted churros, so I made the decision to finally try it out. OMG!!! Probably not the best idea because now we are addicted!! They were fresh and hot. My oldest decided to try the caramel filled one while my youngest and I got the plain. Well, they were crispy on the outside and soft and doughy in the middle. It was sooooooo good, we went back the next day and got more. Yikes!! I would have taken a picture but they never seem to last long enough for us to take a picture. Our first experience with churros was at Disneyland years ago and we fell in love but throughout the years, the quality at Disney started to decline and the price increased, and I wasn't a fan anymore. So, in my eyes, these churros here is IT!!!! Price isn't bad. $1.50 for each plain and $2 for ones with filling. However, I will note that the churros aren't like the super long ones but I think they are still fair with the prices and honestly, two of those were more than enough for us. The whole fam is completely hooked!! Check them out when you're in da town.“
“Just a small stand inside the corner store. But the ceviche is so good! Best to call in advance. You have a new regular in me I can't wait to try the wings next time. It's a generous portion for an affordable price, seriously it's so so good!“
“Best taco truck hands down! Ordered tripe, cow tongue, and beef tacos! Amazing flavor! The atmosphere is not so great as the truck is next to a dive bar. I get it, people get drunk and the food craving kicks in. Will be eating here indefinitely unless food quality changes. Highly recommended this taco truck! Street parking!“
“If you ready for a fingerlicious experience,You need to come here!!Parking: Is behind the building , a lots of spaces but a bit difficult to get inKid-friendliness: Outdoor and clean space so kids can be kidsWheelchair accessibility: Access big on the street side is plenty of room ?“
“One of the best tacos I've had... tortilla was a little crispy soo good the meat well seasoned... I was at the White Elephant sale yesterday and after doing some shopping my mother and I got a bit hungry we decided to try this taco truck and buy some tacos, it did not disappoint... whenever I come to Oakland again and I get hungry I'll be sure to look them up again...“
“- great coffee - friendly customer service - hidden gemWent to Looney Bean on a Saturday morning. The Barista was super friendly and helpful when ordering drinks! I'm not sure if he was the owner or not but you could tell he enjoyed his job and coffee!I ordered Aloha Latte and White Chocolate Mocha. The coffee was taste was strong but not too strong, and the flavors in the drinks mixed well together. The drinks weren't too expensive either. The views you get while drinking your coffee of the bay can't be defeated! I loved the seating area and the wood tables.Love that Rodeo has this hidden gem. Highly recommend this place for your next cup of coffee!“
“I've been driving past this amazing kitchen on wheels for the past yr and never have I bothered to stop & look. This ain't just a taco truck, they do breakfasts, burgers & birria. What more can you ask for. Run by nice folks. I'll definitely be back.“
“You can find the taco panzon most days at the intersection of Campbell and grand from 12:15 pm. This food truck is amazing. Really. The entire ambiance, the crew that frequents it; it is a community you want to be a part of. They have two chairs you can sit on and gulf down some tacos and be on your way. Not somewhere to sit and dine but for a quick pick me up it is highly recommended. Food quality is too notch, pickled jalapeños and zuccini and generous avocado portions with the taco orders when you ask for everything on em. Can't hype it enough! But don't expect to wine and dine, it's a food truck.“
“This taco truck is definitely built off of love. Their meats are proper and this is definitely a place I'd even wanna work at. These guys know what their doing , and so when you come here, please pay it forward to these men, drop a couple dollars in the "VIP SERVICE" Tip jar .... You won't regret it(:“
“Off the Grid at Fort Mason is a seasonal event, usually for a few months at a time (spring & fall) & last night was there last event until next year. The team last night was kimchi and K-pop. There was a DJ spinning K-pop music (BlackPink, BTS, Psy, etc.) & Korean themed food items from vendors. It was pretty fun. I've been to taco competitions & other themed events at OTG too. There's always live music or a DJ, a bar in the middle (my favorite drink is the hot cider with rum). Bathrooms are located in Building C. I'm looking forward to the next season of OTG at Fort Mason. It's good fun.“
“What a find! I don’t give out these sort of compliments lightly but their al pastor is off the charts good.! I had the Al Pastor super burrito and it was amazing but I’m sure everything here is good. Also super nice vibes. My new go-to spot in Richmond.“
“My goto when I go to this truck is a regular steak burrito with everything, it comes out to about $11 even with chips and salsa... and it's probably the best burrito in Oakland in terms of flavor and juiciness, you can tell they spend time to add layers of flavor and this is coming from a self proclaimed burrito connoisseur. Service is nice everyone is friendly and quick waiting times and that's great for a family owned ambiance. The best way to describe the food is comfort food, it's like a home cooked meal. They really put the time into their food and I recommend the steak burrito with everything but that's just me. This in my opinion is the best burrito in Oakland and I've tried all the known taqueria's in West Oakland, downtown Oakland, Lake Merritt area“
“Rock Club catered my husband's retirement party. Easy to communicate with, flexible & arrived early to set up for event. Their burgers, fries & onion rings were awesome & EVERYONE raved about them. My husband is still talking about how delicious they were today. I am sure I will be getting many texts asking for their info. Thank you again so much!!“
“Best eggrolls I've ever had ! Hands down. You have to try the cheesesteak eggrolls. They're thee best. They also have crab and shrimp eggrolls which are goodt but not as good as the cheesesteak. So flavorful. There may be a wait but it's definitely worth it. The lemonade is good as well. You gotta catch them when they're open though. You won't be disappointed.“
“OH MY WORD! Warm, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Great ratio of cinnamon and sugar and they have warm filling options. They sell fresh hand made Churros here, bananas and even Tacos. Tiny little enclosed cart on the Corner of 23rd, so tiny that I drove by and missed it twice. Playing loud music that was a nod back to when my parents were younger, love songs. You walk up order through a side window and then wait to be called to pick up this decadent dessert. Totally worth the wait and trip. The churros can be ordered with no filling, individually or in bags. Fillings are Cajeta(similar to caramel), Vanilla or Strawberry. My son opted for the Cajeta. The filling was abundant, warm and just oozed rich caramel. So worth the trip to Richmond. We went out on a cold rainy night and it was just what our souls needed.“
“Amazing! I tried chocolate flavor and it was sooooo good! It was super soft and melt immediately in my mouth. And it’s not super sweet that makes me to drink water after taking it. And I could feel the very light good smell of cinnamon as I eating it. Definitely going to be back again!“
“For many years our workplace had a generic food truck onsite that served up traditional tacos, burritos, and the occasional weekly specials like loaded nachos. They had pre-made rice plates too. The quality was decent but after a while its possible to get tired of the same-oh, same-oh.One day I began seeing a red food truck from my office window, as opposed to the plain unmarked white one. It turns out to be Golden Gate Bistro, who specializes in burgers made to order.I tried both the Akaushi Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and can recommend both. Akaushi is from Japanese Brown cows, and one of several sources of Wagyu. It'll cost more than In and Out or Habit Grill but its justifiable with the juicy burger. I also love their thick-cut, perfectly seasoned fries. If burgers aren't your thing, they also offer up smoked ribs, Impossible burgers, and the usual Mexican favorites like Quesadillas.“

“A hidden gem. First off, the staff is very friendly. Their prices are reasonable too. The truck is located at the corner of an auto body parking lot. There is plenty of parking every time we've been there. Their tacos are the BEST in Oakland. The fish tacos are very delicious and always my go to. Don't get me started on the carnitas, carne asada, cabeza, or lengua tacos. They are all sooooo good and full of flavor. Next I'll be trying the steak fries.... I know I won't be disappointed.“
“I normally dont do trucks BUT in Oakland most of the trucks taste better than the store fronts!!! This one is fantastic! I usually get shrimp burritos (if they have shrimp) sometimes they run out if a certain meat. Especially steak!!! Go early so you can get the meat you want!!!“
“Great tasting tacos! Very accommodating if you don't like a specific topping, they'll take it off. I'm from San Diego originally and this has got to be one of the closest tasting tacos to that of San Diego's delicacy. It's hard to find a good taco in the Bay, but this is it.“
“Really a hidden gem. David and family provide the best Cambodian food. You can tell they care about their food, as they offer to not give you the noodles cooked so you can have them at optimum level at home. Everything is good here but a bit spicy.“
“Gotta give props to Curbside Kitchen and their flavorful Filipinx inspired burgers! Love how they are representing the PI culture and their food truck is conveniently available next to Armistice Brewery, which has great ambiance. Perfect food pairing with beer! The owners are nice and it took about 10 min for them to whip up my signature Curbside burger, which has Tocino (Filipino bacon) and it was absolutely delicious and filling. The beef patty was hot and flavorful, the brioche bun was a nice bite, the pickled veggies gave a nice acid pop to tickle the tastebuds- everything was hot and fresh and the portion was just enough. Will try their lumpia and other items when I'm back - they also do catering with an extended menu!“

“The staff are really friendly, and quick to make the bowls, and they make them look amazing next time I’ll take a pic. I get the green bowl, and add almond butter , and s Nutella if I,m in the melody which is always . I mean come on who doesn’t want Nutella.Vegetarian options: Gluten free options. Plenty.Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate all for restrictions and are very diligent about it thanks guysParking: Free after 6 , up the shop is closed so that doesn’t help lol“
“This is by far, in my opinion, the best taco truck in Oakland. I ordered two regular asada burritos, which come with cheese and sour cream, for me and bro. As always, there were a bunch of others ordering their food as well, but the wait wasn’t bad at all. The area isn’t the best, but I’ve been coming here for decades and have never had any issues. Don’t cheat yourself, if you haven’t had tacos or burritos from here, TRY IT TODAY!“
“I thought I'd finally check them out. Friendly people, my 2 asada taco were fine. I didn't add anything extra, so meat, onion cilantro. The corn tortillas was legit. A bit of pickled jalapeño, radish, and lime on the side. My interest now piqued, I'll try their enchiladas next. So far, I like.“
“I'm from LA, the taco truck capital of the world, so it's very hard to impress me. These tacos rival my hometown favorites. I had pollo, camaron, y carnitas. Finally! A whole plate of decent tacos! The carnitas is particularly good here.“
“Haters be hating but the vibe and the Al Pastor tacos are great in this street food' stall! The tacos are street style (small) but they were generous with the meat. The al pastor is thinly carved right off the skewer into the tortillas to order. We love that! They will ask you if you want grilled onions and sliced fresh pineapple spining at the top of the skewer. Say "YES" to both and ask for grill jalapeños if you like em. We added our own toppings from the salsa table, sat on stools and watched them work as we gobbled up the tacos. Sitting there, we felt like we were back in Mexico.$3/taco is a little pricy but we'll pay it again.“
“Indian food of superior quality; excellent recipes, their veggie rice alone is worth the trip to the Presidio (their kiosk is there Saturday and most weekdays). Chana masala and spicy garbanzo bean bowl is recommended; garlic aioli is a perfect accompaniment. A+++Vegetarian options: Veggie naan wrap and Chana masala bowl are excellent here“
“This sandwich is delicious. I've tried their other items but the sandwich is the must try. On Saturdays there is usually a line but due to the limited menu, the wait is not too bad. Once you get closer, you can see all the workers assembling sandwiches to heavy music, wiping up all the juices on their cutting board with your sandwich bread. The food is well priced well and can easily be shared if you are just looking for a light bite. Once you grab your food, there is plenty of outdoor seating nearby to enjoy your meal.“
“I have been a customer at the Shiloh's cuisine for about 2 years now ever since they opened and I am absolutely in love with their food, you could say it's regular Mexican food but to me it's beyond that, they give the food a great taste which leaves you wanting more!! I am si glad we have real Mexican sabor here in downtown Oakland!! Yeehaw keep up the great work Shiloh's cuisine!!“
“El Grullo Taco Truck offers a tantalizing array of tacos and burritos sure to satisfy any craving! From classic carne asada to adventurous al pastor, their menu boasts something for everyone. While they only accept cash, the convenience of their parking lot makes it a breeze to swing by for a quick and delicious meal. With flavorful options and easy accessibility, El Grullo Taco Truck is a must-try for taco aficionados!“
“We stopped by Gilman's after a hike and we got Dog's for lunch. That chili cheese dog hit like no other - honest to god one of the best chili cheese dog's I've had in my life. Menu was great and food came out by the time I grabbed my beer. If you're craving a chili cheese dog, literally look no further - sometimes I dream about it, and my consumption of hot dogs has increased over the past year because of this food truck.“
“Came for a quick weekday lunch. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro plate (came with white and hot sauce) and baklava the size of your thumb. Good portions and prices are reasonable as you would expect eating in FiDi. Meat is seasoned well. Pilaf rice is bland but cooked properly.“
“I tried Turo Tacos in Oakland and I have to say, their veggie tacos are absolutely amazing! Not only do they offer a great variety of meaty options, but their steak and shrimp nachos are unmatched and the best in town. I highly recommend checking them out for a delicious and satisfying meal. Thank you Turo Tacos for the fantastic food experience!“
“my go-to burrito place. Always friendly service. I like my burritos very spicy, and la estrella is one of the few places that will go as heavy on the habanero as I like. Super fast if you order over the phone, too. I mostly eat vegetarian and they make a very good veggie burrito. The fish is good, too.“
