“What a hidden gem!! We ended up ordering off the menu ( butter chicken, daal, naan and biryani) everything was authentic and delicious. Family run business. Randy the owner kept checking in to see if we were happy with everything. His brother Rajj was serving and very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great advice on choices. If you like to support local family businesses, this one is a must to visit! Good Luck guys and keep up the good work.“

“We arrived about 45 minutes before closing and the employee, Jocelyn greeted us with the warmest smile. Although the restaurant was sold out of teriyaki chicken, the item we were wanting, she managed to make our experience quite pleasant. We ended up ordering a small portion of the orange chicken and she gave us a complimentary drink for not having the teriyaki chicken. She also gave us an extra fortune cookies “for the road!” Apparently it was a really busy night and we had just missed the rush. But she still had the biggest grin and best attitude. I’ve worked in customer service for many years and her service was the epitome of going above and beyond. This woman deserves some recognition and a raise. Simply amazing.“

I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.“

“Ordered through Door Dash to eat with my virtual team at work during our winter conference. Ordered 2 thai teas, chicken dumplings, and their fish in black bean sauce lunch special. Definately had enough food for my daughter's after school snack and my lunch. Food preparation was quick and the door dash managed to bring the food right away. My fish was nicely fried and quickly stir fried in black bean sauce. The sauce wasn't as pronouces as in other places, but overall the flavor was good. My daughter enjoyed the chow mein and chicken dumplings. Thai tea helped hit the spot as dessert. Overall a pretty economical meal at around $25.00 (amount of the gift card provided by the company).“

“Very nice restaurant with a big menu. The tea had chrysanthemum and goji berries and was delicious. Shanghai rice cakes are always a good option and the dessert sesame balls were tasty. Highly recommend. There's also plenty of parking in this small shopping district.“

“Amazing Chinese food! Great dim sum and family style meals! My parents are from Taiwan and said this was very authentic. Growing up in OC, I had limited exposure to some of the less popular Chinese foods, but Joyee had them all! My dad loved it and it was all delicious. Even the stuff I haven't tried before.

“One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area the best in San Marcos.. my only disappointment is the wonton soup here on the west coast!! Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. Still the best I have found other then Philadelphia and New York Chinese restaurants.“

“The food was amazing. I used to go to a similar place that closed and this is the closest thing to it. Ordered the orange chicken and black pepper beef and both were great. Was slightly disappointed with the spice rating because my wife and I love Szechuan cuisine but their “5 star” spicy was not spicy at all. The other thing I was disappointed with was my server was not very attentive and went a long time without water and not checking in with us to see if we needed anything else. She came and took our order then dropped it off and never came back. Atmosphere very quaint and intimate. Definitely sit in the patio. Overall, new favorite Szechuan place.

“We have always loved Chin’s Gourmet but today’s service was extra special. Sharon went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed and even got us extra sauce without us asking. She is an absolute treasure. Also the food was impeccable as per usual. 10/10 would recommend.“

If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! “My coworkers and I would frequent this restaurant often. I would normally get one of the Large Pho bowls but other times I would venture out to Rice Vermicelli Noodles. These noodles were served with lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, mints, pickled carrots and daikon, roasted peanuts and fish sauce. This instance I got it with grilled chicken and egg rolls. “It’s been a long time since we’ve ordered here, but the family was craving Chinese food, it’s part of our Nee Years Day tradition. I had work today and didn’t have time to drive and pick up from our usual restaurant. Placed an order for the family on New Years Day using the Panda Express App. It was super easy to navigate. Upon arrival, I added the vegetable spring rolls, they made them fresh to order. Staff was welcoming, they smiled, they greeted you and they were all super helpful. The food was half the price of our usual go to restaurant and Panda Express offered more flavor. Everyone was happy, the food was fresh, hot and filling. We spent less than $12 each for four adults.
