“Bun & Mi is a Vietnamese restaurant on Montana Ave in Santa Monica that serves the best Banh Mi in LA. Pop in through the window for a quick Vietnamese coffee, also the best in LA, or sit down at the counter for the full experience. Bun & mi serves delicious food in big portions that come at a solid price — this place is a must try in Los Angeles. Shoutout to the whole staff who are super welcoming to all guests.

“Wonderful experience at JINYA Ramen Bar in Topanga! My daughter and I came for our usual quick lunch and were seated at the ramen bar. Gaby made our visit especially enjoyable — she was so warm, attentive, polite, and professional.

What impressed me most was when I accidentally wrapped my aligners in a napkin and they were thrown away. I asked if they could be found, not really expecting it, but Gaby went above and beyond, found them, and brought them back to me! I was truly so grateful.

“Phorage on Overland in Los Angeles is a great spot for a relaxed meal with a fresh take on Vietnamese cuisine. The menu has a cool mix of traditional and modern dishes that are both tasty and unique. The Pho Birria is absolutely incredible. 10/10“

“Hole in the wall teriyaki place. You order at the counter, you pick up your food, you clean up your own table after eating. Easy free parking lot or street parking. They have a lunch special for $11.95 that includes chicken and rice with salad. They also have specials A, B, C and D that are around the $15 to $20 price range. I had the special C that had white rice, a big piece of chicken katsu, two pieces of chicken teriyaki, salad, two small onion rings and two dumplings for about $15.95. Not a bad value. You get a teriyaki sauce and hot sauce on the side. Their teriyaki sauce is very good here! The serving is very generous. I was not about to finish it in one sitting.“

“The dumplings taste really good. Unlike many other places, their dumplings are really juicy and the juicy won't leak out until you bite into it. The service staff are very helpful. They refill my water when the glass is half full. The food comes out fast.“

“The Tom Yum Goong Pizza was absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, fresh, and very well balanced. You can really taste the classic tom yum flavors in every bite.

The shrimp was tasty, and I loved the combination of spicy, tangy, creamy, and savory flavors. It’s such a creative idea to turn Tom Yum Goong into a pizza, and it worked so well.

“You can tell everything you need to know about Masakazu from the miso soup. Shin explained that instead of bonito flakes, he uses real fish and shrimp to make the broth. The amount of care and attention he put into making something special out of a dish that can so easily be an afterthought was in every carefully rationed sip, and that same level of care carried through the entire meal.

We did the omakase and it was a great amount of variety and food. Shin is incredibly skilled and thoughtful about what he served, but it was great to be able to talk to him to get his perspective on the dishes. He's also hilarious.

By the end, it felt like we’d had an experience rather than just gone out for sushi.

Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite. The salmon was the best New Zealand salmon I've had, the bluefin tuna was incredible, the scallop was a nice surprise at the end, and there was also this steamed sea bream that somehow became another favorite. All of the seared pieces were amazing too. Basically, it's hard to pick out a favorite.

Everything was beautifully prepared, the ingredients were fresh, the flavors layered masterfully. More than that, you could taste Shin's care and pride in each bite.

“I visited this place on 04/07/2026, and saying that I liked it would be an understatement.

The service was 100 out of 10. The waiter knew the menu very well and was able to make great recommendations. I ordered the coconut milk soup with seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it, and the portion was very generous.

We also ordered chicken and drinks. Honestly, the amount of food they brought us could easily feed three people. For $49 total, it was definitely worth it.

I also want to mention the honesty and kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my AirPods at the table, and the waitress found my car in the parking lot and personally returned them to me. That really impressed me and says a lot about the level of service and care they provide.

The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and would be happy to come back again.“

The ramen itself was good, especially good considering the price but not the best ramen I have ever had. I also thought that they gave us very little protein in the ramen. “I’ve been to Taiko various times and have always left extremely happy and satisfied! I actually celebrated my birthday dinner here. Their sushi, rolls, and sashimi are extremely fresh and well made. I am obsessed with the baked crab roll, and everyone at my birthday loved it, too! The Hamachi Kama is super nice and tasty, so is the ramen (the picture is what I served myself from my dad’s bowl, the actual dish has a very generous portion!!) My dad would also like to note that they have the COLDEST beer in town. The servers are all super nice and are always very happy to see me again.
