The guests really enjoyed an artichoke quiche, strawberry chicken salad and three types of mini cookies. Everyone raved about the food. It was all packaged up to be easy to serve. I would highly recommend working with Sunny Side on your next catering need!“

“THE HOUSE WAS ROCKIN' ! Whenever we are in Escondido this is the ONLY PLACE WE EAT ! My wife and I were heading a very long way to Wildomar on Monday to visit my wife's Mom & Dad in an assisted living facility. But first we stopped by here for a nice lunch. It was a bit before midday when we stepped inside the front entrance to be greeted warmly by the lovely owner / founder Jenny who we have known for many years. Jenny herself took our order for 1 x Capicola & Provolone Sub Sandwich plus 1 x Gangster Reuben Pastrami Sub Sandwich. The place was ABSOLUTELY ROCKIN' on Memorial Day and there were stacks of loyal customers lined up waiting to place their lunch order. Our fantastic looking sub sandwiches were hand delivered to our table...and believe me it doesn't get any better ! Our delicious sub sandwiches hit it clean outa the ball park ! As I said to lovely Jenny....YOU ARE A LEGEND !“

“I have written a yelp review about their food. I love their plum sauce and that’s saying quite a bit as I am not a fan of the usual sweet side sauces. This one is different though. Their Pad Kee Mao or spicy noodles is honestly so good. Their noodles aren’t mushy (they are perfect) like so many restaurants have let them get, and their food is always served hot.“

“Everything from the food to the staff was amazing. The pepperoni pizza, “El Pepe,” was a top quality pizzeria style. Next time we are in the area we will most definitely stop by. There is a little arcade room to keep the kids entertained while us parents enjoy sports on tv with a pitcher of beer.“

Sadly the on floor manager, Nick, now claiming to be the owner in today's conversation, will not honor a gift card our friend bought for us a few months back. Nick is very agressive, harsh, and sadly not a good face for this amazing restaurant. Our family has been eatting here for 3 generations ever since they opened. We have watched several sets of family member take over operating this family business, and have loved ever member prior. However, Nick is an unfortunate one. With a gift card receipt stating Nick's name, he denies selling a gift card to anyone but one person. Nick has unfortunately ruined our favorite family restaurant. If the real owner ever reads this, I hope we can work something out. My recommendation, eat somewhere else. Its not worth the gruff service and the potential to get screwed. :/“

“After visiting the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, we decided to try Ali Baba Mediterranean Cuisine of Escondido. My wife saw a recommendation post and we were eager to check it out.

When we arrived, we asked our server which family meal would be good for 3 adults and 2 kids, as we didn't want any leftovers. She suggested the meal for 2-3 people, and it turned out to be perfect.

Our kids loved it and kept saying so tasty, making it the best Mediterranean restaurant we've tried. We asked the server if there are any other locations in other cities, and she said no. Highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience!“

“I have never tried Acai bowl -- until this restaurant!

Let me tell you, I was incredibly surprised by the Superfood Bowl #1. (It has Acai, Coconut Sorbet, Spirulina Chia Pudding, Vanilla Almond Granola, Strawberry, Banana, Blueberry, Mango, Pumpkin Seeds, Raisins, Sunflower Seeds, Coconut, Sunflower Butter, Cinnamon and Cacao Powders). It was so delicious and the combination of all of the ingredients mixed extremely well.

The Detox Juice is something else entirely. Loved it.

“I haven't been here in a while and was craving a beets, carrots, pineapple.and spinach juice. I ordered a large cup and requested no ice. I got my drink its it was just below half way with actual juice and the rest was foam, you can't drink the foam. I was about to get charged around $12 for a half empty cup of juice. I expressed my concern with the cashier and I asked her if she would charge me for the medium which is about $8. She was hesitant but eventually agreed to it. I feel like they fill the entire cup with ice and only top it off with a small amount of juice which is a rip off/scam.“

The atmosphere is super casual, making it perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The staff is friendly and quick, which is always a plus. Their sandwiches are delicious! I had a BLT that they customized for me by adding sprouts, spinach, and cheese. I even added extra bacon—because, really, who doesn’t love more bacon? The sandwiches are always on point here. I did have a funny little mix-up during my visit. I went to the counter to check on my regular drip coffee with three shots of espresso (I love my coffee strong!) and the lady said, “Here’s your BLT!” Confused, I replied, “I’m already eating one but it wasn’t the one I had ordered but that’s ok because I was hungry.” Turns out they printed my ticket twice. I offered to pay for the extra sandwich, but they insisted it was on the house. I ended up giving the extra BLT to one of our local homeless residents, which felt good. Overall, Kettle Coffee and Tea is a fantastic spot with yummy food and a welcoming staff. Definitely recommend!“
