“What a cozy home style Italian restaurant in Fair Oaks. Staff is professional & personal. Cuisine is unlike any other owner-operated Italian Cafe in the Sacramento area (are there any?). “Literally my favorite pizza place of all time. Now that I have found this place I will never go anywhere else. I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to pizza and this is the only place I have found that seems to do just fine with my stomach. They have great pricing, excellent service, always on time with delivery. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.“

“Randomly came here for a Saturday dinner because we wanted to try something new. They did not disappoint. The server told us everything is made from scratch and wow, you can definitely taste it in the food. The house made bread was so soft. And they even gave us complimentary minestrone soup which was delicious! I ordered the Tuscan Chicken and Shrimp and my boyfriend got the Spaghetti Carbonara. My dish was so creamy and tasty, the pasta was al dente, and the meat was seasoned well. The Carbonara was also great. Our server was awesome, really friendly and took time to let us know everything about the menu since she knew it was our first time. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu, what a hidden gem!“

“This is the best pizza! I swear you will not be disappointed. I live 30 minutes away and I still make it here once a month. Also, definitely order a salad. They change seasonally and are always flavor combos I wouldn't have thought of but work so well. I wish they'd put in a location near me so I could go once a week.“

“Where do I begin. As soon as you walk in, you get a warm smile like a hug from Carmelita! The place looks really high end and the ambiance is extremely welcoming and calming. They know what they are doing and I wish them the best of success. We are forever customers now. When we sat down, Carmelita, explained everything about the menu, what is great, what she loves, what is popular, and what she thinks we like. We ended up having a Cesar salad, and 2 pizzas ( names under pictures). From the first bite, my eyes closed, and it was bliss. The dough was light and airy, the crust was full of flavor, and each bite takes you to another world. They know what they are doing and we met the chef to thank him for what he did. They have other styles of pizza so we are definitely coming back for the Detroit style deliciousness. Thank you for the delicious food, hospitality, and overall experience.“

“This place screams delicious food.I came here for Valentines day after seeing a segment on the news and I definitely made one of my best life choices. The food was unique I chose my wife's plate as well as mine you had two choices. I chose the one with a fluffy bread like shell for a taco stuffed with meat and sauce and vegetables. It also came with a beet salad and I have to say it was one of the best things I have tasted and I don't Carr for the dirt tasting vegetable, but it was well prepared with sauce and spice yum. It also came with a bowl of Ramen with porkbelly meat and the soup flavor was so so so good.,but wait there's more it also came with a desert of your choice my wife chose the ice cream ball it was a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream inside a chocolate brownie..yum I got the donutholes stuffed with tiramisu the espresso and ittalian custard had such flavor yum...While eating we also purchased 4 beers 2 ciders and 2 of there in house made beer..I will definitely be coming back. Outside they had a huge pond with fish and plenty of seating and parking.. The ambiance was top notch. I heard there homemade pasta and pizza are the best in state so I will be going back very soon..Homemade beer and Pizza yes please“

“The best bread bowl I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. Literally what bread bowl dreams are made of and I don’t even dream of bread bowls like that. I heard good things about this place so I placed a delivery order with them and omg I can’t wait to go back. I got the creamy chicken pesto bread bowl and ooof it hit the spot. It’s delicious cheesy pasta stuffed in a garlicky soft cushiony roasted bread bowl. What more can you ask for. I can’t speak on the service or ambiance since it was only delivery but their food made its way to my heart.“

“My wife and her VERY Italian family went to Sac for her Masters Graduation. We decided on this place to celebrate after as the menu was enticing and the prices were good. This place....should be more popular. It's not huge and has a quaint vibe and the food is surprisingly better then expected. The service was amazing. Our guy was awesome. We met the owner and he was a great guy. The brushetta was awesome. The calamari was great. The pesto sandwiches were amazing. The Salmon dinner was unreal. The desert especially the lemon thing was FIRE. We will be finding more reasons to go there FROM OROVILLE that's how good it was.“

The other reviews are correct that the sesame seed crust alone is reason enough to go, but it's also one of the best BBQ chicken pizzas I've ever had (and I've had a lot). “I guess it's time for an updated review. They are not even in the same location as the first time I reviewed, so staffing and some of the things I didn't like really don't apply. The breadsticks and salad are still the best and well as their ranch. I did try the pizza again recently and it was better than I remembered. They definitely DO NOT skimp on the toppings. All around this is a solid place to come eat.“

“Matteo's Pizza & Bistro is a lovely classy restaurant that has a beautiful indoor and outdoor dining area. I especially love to come here on warm summer nights and sit outside with the hanging bulbed lights, water wall and lush vegetation surrounding the outdoor patio area. It's wicked pleasant. Their menu is a good size and they offer specials and change up dishes based on whats in season. I really like their pasta dishes especially. This visit I hot the scallops and they were summer yummy and sliced like butter. I also got to try the salmon tacos which were good and satisfying and their roasted beet salad. That reminds me, I love their salads too. They also sell wine and if there's a wait it's fun to wander around their wine display and check out the different labels. Wonderful servers too and host. “stopped by on a friday afternoon and entered a quiet little spot. we were the only ones here and were helped quickly. the cashier was incredibly sweet and able to accommodate our needs. all the food is hand made and you can see it being prepared!“

“If you're looking for a pizza place that gives you lots of ranch without asking this is pizza place for you! We had a group of 8 and the service was very fast. We were seated immediately in a large booth (good for plus size too). The food was decent I wouldn't say the best but it was good. The price was very reasonable we got the family meal which was a large one topping pizza, garlic or pesto chips, and a large salad. (Garlic chips are really like a thin small garlic cheese pizza but they are really good) Parking is right in front or on the street or if you are okay with a little walk it's down the street. Overall I would go back the pizza is good and the service is great! lots of ranch Coke products plus size friendly“
