“So this doughnut shop is inside the grocery / general store in the plaza. They offer so many unique doughnuts like various candy bar and cereal flavors, as well as some more traditional flavors. “I visited Diotoma on a Friday around 11:30 AM. The parking lot is quite small so I had to circle for parking and there was a line. However, don't let that deter you from coming. There were so many delicious looking pastries, cookies, and cakes (I also saw some people had sandwiches). I had to wait about 20 min to order pastries and another 10 min or so for a coffee drink. So the entire visit took about 30 min. We got the pain cookie (pain suisse filled with brown butter butterscotch cookie dough), Korean salt bread, and mixed berry custard tart. The mixed berry custard tart is make with the same croissant dough so it's crispy and flakey, but it softens quickly due to the custard filling. However, the custard filling is generous and very silky. The Korean salt bread was a simple savory loaf. For me, the star was the pain cookie. The cookie dough was appropriately soft and chocolatey and the pastry was really flakey and crispy. I would go back just for the pain cookie but there was so many other interesting looking pastries. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you like pastries. I will definitely be swinging by here again the next time I'm in the area.“

There's lots of pastry options. Both savory and sweet. There are also premade sandwiches. Some are child and can be heated, and others that are served cold.
Then there are the cakes. You can order slices or entire cake. They have lots of drink options hot coffee/ tea and cold options too.

They have plenty of indoor seating as well as patio seating.

“i really like crumbl!! i would totally give this 5 stars but this specific one though is closest to my house and they have not done any special hometown picks or fun features that other crumbls do through the app. i have been waiting to see some fun hometown picks for the RSM location but sadly i only see Foothill Ranch doing it. Compared to Foothill Ranch, the RSM crumbl customer service is mediocre, as no one seems like they want to be working there however the cookies are great nonetheless i just hope i start seeing more fun stuff in the app for the RSM location!!“

“I have had many of Shadi’s cakes for different occasions and celebration; I have to say, they are all so delicious and mouthwatering. Her apple Tart Tatin is to die for! Her cheese cakes are out of this world! Especially her Mars cheese cake is absolutely one of a kind. You have to try it to believe how delicious they are. Banana lovers, you must try her chocolate chip banana cake! I found this place after an appointment in the area, got four different macarons and one of the honey cakes. Wow. Insane, everything. The strawberry raspberry and the Dubai flavor macarons were far and away my favorite, but everything was insane. “They were very responsive to emails. I first filled out web inquiry and got a reply on the same day. They were booked for tasting appointment very fast so make sure you contact them early as they only have appointments available during the week Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays between 1pm and 6pm. Saturdays from 9am-4pm. The tasting appointment was an hour long and it's FREE!!! Some other places I looked at will charge you for tasting and even though the tasting charge might be deducted from final order, it made me feel much better when there was no cost to start with as wedding was already expensive. The place was a little bit hard to find since it was office-like looking from outside and I thought it was bakery-like. They have parking lot. My husband and I tried so many different favors of cake and they were so delicious. We had a hard time deciding which ones to get because we had more than three favorite. During the appointment, they also showed you what style of cake they offered and its pricing. We went with the basic so there was no add-on cost, but they can custom-make your order if you show them pictures of what you want with additional cost (and trust me the price is fair). We ended up ordering a 3-tier ice in white buttercream cake with 12" white with mango, 9" almond with cappuccino & chocolate mousse, and 6" mocha chip with rosy mauve ribbon around tiers for 100 guests for my wedding. They emailed us a week before the wedding to confirm there was no changes and the order was correct. The cake was delivered on time and was decorated with fresh flowers my florist provided on site by the delivery staff. (If you have cake topper, you can either drop it off to the shop or have it installed on site by delivery staff. Either way, you need to let them know in advance so they can make sure your cake is structurally stable for the cake topper weight.) My wedding cake looked pretty and it tasted good. I received lots of compliment from the guests. On the side note, they would charge you more if you use American Express credit card. And you only need to pay deposit on the site but they don't have online system for you to pay the remaining online. Since we didn't have cake topper to drop off and did not want to make another trip just to pay the balance, we paid it in full the same day of tasting. This would be two suggestions for improvement, but they still deserve a 5-star for their service, the quality (taste/look), and the friendly price. Ohh and did I mention that you do receive a complimentary one year anniversary cake? That's for sure a big PLUS since my husband and I were too busy to have our own wedding cake at our wedding. We are very looking forward to our one year anniversary! All you need to do is to contact them 3 weeks prior to your one year anniversary to place the order. Give them the date of your wedding and the name the order is under and they will pull up your file and place the order. Yup it's 3 weeks, not 2 weeks. They are definitely getting busier and that's how good they are! If you are still looking for wedding cake or cake for any event, this is where I would recommend.“

Classic donut shop like what I grew up with in LA, but sooo much better because they’re open until 7 and have a drive through. I’ve been earlier in the day and right before close and some how the donuts still taste fluffy and delicious!

The owners are so nice and you can tell they truly care about the quality for their customers!! The glaze is consistent and creamy on all the donuts! The donuts them selves are moist and soft and never dry!

“I ordered two cream pans and let me say it doesn't disappoint. So if you love creamy custard filling folded into buttery bread that is made with TLC, then Hamada-Ya Bakery is the place to go. Now let's say you eat one and save the other for the next day, I suggest refrigerating it. Then when you want to eat it take it out of the fridge and let it sit until it's room temperature. When we realized this location was closing in 10 minutes, we were hesitant to go in because the young lady was sweeping the floor. I work in a service industry as well so I understand how 'last minute' guests can be 😉. She was quick to make eye contact with us as soon as we walked in. She also stopped cleaning right away to service us with a smile. They have Soo many spices and so many things I've never even knew existed. The tasting experience was very simple as well, they gave us a box with their different cake flavors and fillings so we could pick and choose our flavor combos. “We ordered the mochi: strawberry, vanilla, ube, mango, yuzu coconut, and green tea. The yuzu was exceptional; it tasted like Korean citron tea, and the coconut made it creamy, while still keeping a tang from the yuzu.
The injeolmi (soybean powder) bingsu was also good, and they gave us a lot of mochi!
The raspberry gelato had seeds in it, and the taste was a bit sharp, but the mango was creamy and tasted like fresh mango!“

“I have visited JJ Bakery Irvine over a decade. I love their Traditional Taiwanese breads , pastries and sweets. Here are a few items that I would recommend (in pic order)

1. Egg Tart: I always purchase two egg tarts when I have the chance. But, it got sold out quickly.
2.Taro Pastry: Real taro paste, not too sweet. It is very delicious

3. Custard Bread: One of the traditional Taiwanese breads.
4. Scallion Bread: It is savory. Sometimes, I like savory breakfast.

5. Flan: Flan is located at the refrigerator near the entrance. It is dense instead of watery. I love it.

6. Almond Cookie:Perfect snack while I am watching Netflix.( It won’t last 20 minutes though)“
