“Honestly, this place probably doesn't get enough credit so here's the real 411: The best Lavazza coffee, seriously delicious sandwiches that are always super fresh, and of course a variety of legit always fresh pastries, both sweet and savory. If you haven't visited, you're missing out. Also, Farah, Evan, and the crew here are top notch and take great care of me as a regular. Most days my coffee is already at the counter by the time I make it to the register. Nice job guys.“

“Had a great experience at Saffron Bakery. Everything was fresh, buttery, and beautifully made. The pastries had perfect flaky layers, rich flavor, and looked just as good as they tasted. The pistachio pastry and chocolate croissant were especially amazing.

“I visited this store for the first time on March 5. Sam greeted me and immediately built rapport, making me feel so comfortable. I hope his manager realizes what a great employee he is. After I'd ordered my sandwich, he asked if it was my first time there, and he offered me a free pastry of my choice. How exciting! I chose the item that looks like a Napoleon, but the layers are not made of puff pastry (which was disappointing). The cream was delicious, and I enjoyed it immensely. It just wasn't as light an fluffy as I imagined it would be. And attempting to cut into it resulted in a squished dessert.

The vegetarian sandwich was one of those sandwiches that defies the ability to eat it like a regular sandwich. It was a roll so stuffed with veggies and a yummy pistachio sauce (I added fresh mozzarella for protein), I'd have had to unhinge my jaw to take a bite out of it. Since I was eating in public, I chose to be a bit more civilized. ;) I managed.

“i really like crumbl!! i would totally give this 5 stars but this specific one though is closest to my house and they have not done any special hometown picks or fun features that other crumbls do through the app. i have been waiting to see some fun hometown picks for the RSM location but sadly i only see Foothill Ranch doing it. Compared to Foothill Ranch, the RSM crumbl customer service is mediocre, as no one seems like they want to be working there however the cookies are great nonetheless i just hope i start seeing more fun stuff in the app for the RSM location!!“

My favorite items on the menu are Almond Croissant, Cream Broiler and Almond Cake plus all the rest of the pastry they make. “I have had many of Shadi’s cakes for different occasions and celebration; I have to say, they are all so delicious and mouthwatering. Her apple Tart Tatin is to die for! Her cheese cakes are out of this world! Especially her Mars cheese cake is absolutely one of a kind. You have to try it to believe how delicious they are. Banana lovers, you must try her chocolate chip banana cake! It’s so yummy 🤤 Also as a person Shadi is as sweet or I should say truthfully sweeter than her Sweets 😉 She is always smiling and so pleasant to work with. You have a double advantage , not only you get a beautifully decorated cake it’s also super yummy and delicious that you have to fight over the crumbs! I highly recommend her to everyone!“

“Royal Donuts in Mission Viejo is one of those classic local donut shops that reminds you why small neighborhood spots still beat the big chains. From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh donuts hits you and you can tell right away that things are being made properly, not just shipped in frozen and reheated like some of the larger franchise places.

The selection is excellent. You have all the classics you expect like glazed, chocolate frosted, maple bars, old fashioned, and jelly filled, but everything tastes noticeably fresher than the average donut shop. The glazed donuts have that perfect light texture where the outside has just enough sweetness without being overwhelming, and the inside stays soft and fluffy. The maple bars are especially good and are generously sized. One donut can honestly hold you over for quite a while.

Another thing I noticed is the consistency. A lot of donut shops are good early in the morning but fall off later in the day. Royal Donuts seems to keep a solid rotation going so you are not getting something that has been sitting around for hours. The donuts still taste fresh even later in the morning.

The staff has always been friendly and quick, even when there is a small line. They move people through efficiently without making you feel rushed. The shop itself is clean, simple, and exactly what you want from a neighborhood donut place. Nothing fancy, just good donuts done right.

Prices are also very reasonable compared to a lot of places now charging premium prices for basic donuts. Here you still feel like you are getting great value for what you pay.

If you live anywhere around Mission Viejo, this is definitely one of those local spots worth supporting. Great donuts, friendly service, and consistently fresh quality. Exactly what a neighborhood donut shop should be.“
