“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

“We were checked in and seated quickly, orders taken smoothly and we didn’t have to wait long for anything although they seemed pretty busy. Food was REALLY good, I got the buttermilk pancakes with chicken apple sausage and Sunnyside eggs and my husband got the bulgogi Benny, everything was cooked to perfection super delicious can’t wait to come here again!“

“We had friends coming to visit from Arizona and wanted to take them somewhere special for dinner. We heard about the newly reopened Paseo in Mill Valley and decided to try it. We were welcomed by the friendly manager Kevin as we entered. After giving us a tour we were seated in the main dining room by a cozy fireplace. We ordered cocktails along with a charcuterie board and roasted Brussels sprouts. At the recommendation of our knowledgeable waiter Will, my sister and I ordered the beet salad. One of our guests had the Market Green Salad and another raved about her Potato Leek Soup. Wanting to try different entrees we ordered California Halibut, Braised Osso Busco, Mary's Chicken Breast, Rib Eye Steak, and Roasted Duck Breast with orange glaze. The taste and presentation exceeded our expectations. As we were enjoying coffee along with Chocolate Indulgence, a (layered torte) and a Peanut Crunch Bar, Chef Branden approached our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. We all told him how much we enjoyed the food, his beautiful presentation, and the smiling staff. We had a great five star experience and will definitely be back!“

“My friends and I make the trek from Sac to Stinson at least once a year, and we do our best to stop here for food. The fresh catch fish & chips is always great and their desserts are worth breaking your diet on. Good service, good food, good times.“

“Amazing Asian tofu salad! Only issue is I carried out and didn’t see that you have to pay extra for them to mix it. That is bizarre and was super annoying but it is truly addictive and my boyfriend couldn’t stop talking about it. I wouldn’t change a thing except the staff was rude and the salad should be mixed without an up charge!“

“We finally made our first visit to the new Star Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. I had the mixed BBQ plate with beef, chicken, pork, and chorizo, everything on the plate was delicious especially the chorizo which I normally dislike. We look forward to coming back or ordering takeout.“

The staff were exceptional--professional, attentive, and so genuinely fun. The service was impeccable, and they made sure that every detail was handled with care and efficiency. We felt incredibly supported throughout the entire event.

The food was truly delicious! Our guests were raving about how good everything was. We had fun putting the menu together, we appreciated the suggestions. It all came together amazingly.

The vibe was on point! The lighting on stage during performances was perfect--creating a magical atmosphere that complemented our theme beautifully. The way everything was set up was just right and made the evening so special. We especially appreciated being able party late - the fact that we could stay until 1am was very unique for a wedding venue. It made for an extended night of celebration and joy that we will cherish forever.

“I don't get into Novato much since the Globberstaller Institution closed down, but when I do I always stop at the Freeport for a burger or a dog.
And ......I was just about there when I spotted FBI BURGERS, and thought I'd give them a try. I got two oldschool hotdogs with mustard and mayo just so I could get a good grasp of the quality of the buns and the hotdogs, and all I can say is WOW! The buns were fresh, soft and pillowy, the all beef dogs were cooked perfectly and had that hard to find natural casing snap with every bite, they were Amazing!

“Quiet atmosphere. I ordered a salmon plate and it was not cooked very well however I did order it in the morning so it's possible the cook was not used to cooking it. Service wasnt terrible. She was quick to check on us and mostly left us on our own and placed us in a quiet area which was totally fine with us because it fit the day we were having.

Bathroom stalls are very cramped with barely leg space to get around the stall door to allow it to close. This is the overall reason for the reduced star.
