“Hold onto your taste buds, folks, because my recent trip to Taco Bell was a wild rollercoaster of culinary chaos! I sauntered in, skeptical and hungry, clutching my $10 nacho pass like it was the golden ticket to flavor town. And boy, was it a mixed bag!

First off, let's talk about the double beans & cheese burrito from the value menu. FOR JUST $2, this beauty was surprisingly good. I mean, beans and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla – simple, classic, no-nonsense deliciousness. Bravo, Taco Bell, you nailed it with this one.

But then, disaster struck with the beefy burrito. Ugh, the beef. It was like someone decided to play a cruel joke on my taste buds. Rubber meets flavorless goo? No, thanks! I'd rather wrestle a cactus than subject my mouth to that again.

And the fries... oh, the fries! Tiny, crispy, and paired with some heavenly nacho cheese. The highlight of my Taco Bell escapade, especially because they were FREE! That's right, folks, one pack each day for 30 days with my nacho pass. It's like a cheesy, crunchy gift from the fast-food gods.

So, if you're hitting up Taco Bell, grab that $2 double beans & cheese burrito, steer clear of the beefy disaster, and for the love of everything cheesy, get yourself a nacho pass. It's a wild ride, but hey, isn't that what fast food is all about?

Unexpected highs, catastrophic lows, but those free fries? Worth it.

They were friendly in their treatment and explained our questions about the menu. It is very economical and the price quantity is great!
We made a combo of tacos and a churro. Both the al pastor tacos and the chicken ones... they are all delicious.
The only bad thing is that there is nowhere nearby to take them, although they have a couple of chairs to wait for your order.
I recommend it!

Parking: There is something super in front and people park to order and pick up.“

You would not regret ordering them as “taco especial” (guac, sour cream, and cheese) if you can.

“Discovered the LITTLE GREEN HOUSE on a drive out exploring the neighborhoods and highways between East Palo Alto and Half Moon Bay… Walking onto this patio and into the house you could feel see and smell that a lot of care gratitude respect and life have and are being cooked up here! I instantly felt at home and at the same time I felt I was on a vacation…the aromas of our food being prepared the genuinely friendly staff and home style delicious meals! Thank you! Parking: You can’t miss the brightly painted house/ Taqueria on the corner with in the neighborhood. Plenty of street parking, felt safe area to walk about and stretch before eating. As well as they have a nice size parking lot for the Taqueria itself and open spaces with just a few quick steps to the entrance and patio

“Great tacos! The buche, carnitas, and cabeza were all really good (and large/meaty). Each one had a different delightful texture but cabeza was my favorite.... so tender! Fresh salsa bar and free chips are a huge plus. Also the free deep fried jalapenos was a nice touch. Next time I've gotta tried that awesome looking giant fried fish plate.“

“Do you love going to Flavortown? How about dreaming with your eyes open? Then try these birria tacos. The first time I had it was from leftovers that my daughter brought home for lunch. Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

“Came for the camarones a la diabla (“Devil’s Shrimp”), which they don’t have on the menu but are happy to make it for you. I actually enjoy theirs more than El Farolito! Also HIGHLY recommend their pastor tacos. Their salsa is top-notch, which I am very picky about. So lucky I live two minutes away!

They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. I tried fajitas, molcajete, shrimp cocktail, enchiladas & Celia's sampler. The shrimp cocktail was delicious and enchiladas & fajitas seemed decent. I did not like the appetizers.“

“Been going to Charlie's for a while. They're a good Mexican restaurant and represent the Bay well, in regards to quality inexpensive food.

The to-go containers are recyclable. Clean tables with shade to eat next to the truck. conveniently located on University Avenue next to Shell gas station. If you happen to pass the station while going toward Dumbarton Bridge 84, I highly recommend stopping by. Even if you are not hungry take it home or to work. I guarantee you will like it and come back. Very nice and friendly staff. I'm planning to try their other foods and report.“

A few items I recommend:

1. Chimichangas - Very crunchy and flavorful. Not greasy

2. Taco-dilla with birria - cheesy meaty goodness with the consome. It's perfection.

3. Super burrito - perfect balance in every bite

4. Taco salad - I love the crunchy taco shell with the fresh salad and steak.

5. Chips and guac - Made in house and the chips are thick and crunchy. The guac is fresh with a little bit of crunch from the onions.

One of these days, I need to check it out to get the full experience.“

“We ordered for takeaway. Everything we ordered was delicious! Chicken tortilla soup would have been better eaten there so the tortilla chips were crunchy but the flavor was delicious. The fish tacos were Delicious. Both grilled and fried. The iguey burrito had shrimp but I substituted it with fish and such a delicious burst of flavor! The shredded beef was not our favorite. Had a certain smoky flavor which some purple may like. But this is definitely going to be our btw favorite Mexican restaurant!

The best was agua fresca ( pineapple), which everybody (kids and 2 of us) liked. The price is pretty cheap for the quality they offer. There was music on and a vendor visited us all with colorful trinkets to sell - best atmosphere I would say :) Local gem I would say.

Vegetarian options: We have dietary restriction. We could tell that the chef and waiter were clearly trying their best to please us. I can't ask for more than that. Obviously the food was very tasty.“

“First time here. Got a Rusa and a strawberry crepe. The Rusa is delicious. There is so much packed into one thing (pineapple, mango, orange, tamarindo straw, chammoy, tajin and squirt, and it is so delicious. Tart, sweet, sour, and most importantly, refreshing. The crepe was soft and warm. Freshly made, too. Next time i go, I'll definitely try the ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from. The staff were very polite and attentive.
