Even though it doesn’t say anything on the menu, the staff seemed to know what vegan is so you can confirm options with them. I recently got the orange tofu and it was really good. Their mango sticky rice is vegan - they use coconut based condensed milk.“

“We came here for a dinner. On a Saturday night as we love Thai food. This place was so quiet and peaceful. Basically being vegetarians we were looking for some options. We found plenty. Drunken noodles and pineapple curry were so tasty and had just enough flavours, mild and delicious. We tried their home made coconut icecream, was one of the best I had. Prices were extremely affordable and the lady who served was kind to us. Would highly recommend this place. Would wish more people could visit this place and keep their business flourishing.“

“Eaten at Chaba twice and it’s been a very good experience. The curry and rice is very tasty when mixed together and good quality. I highly recommend mild spicy as even the medium is pretty hot. The Fried Wontons were pretty good as well as the Thai Cold Coffee. The Customer service is excellent. You definitely get bang for the buck when it comes to lunch price. If I had one recommendation for improvement is the restaurants is a little dated and could use an upgrade inside.“

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.“

- Really nice level of heat (I ordered it very spicy), and there were no Thai chili pepper pods I had to fish out, so that's good, and they provided extra ground Thai chilis on the side. 👍👍
- fresh mushrooms, not canned, good amount 👍👍
- heat, sourness, amazingly delicious tasting broth, hint of sweetness to contrast the bold hot and sour flavors. All the wonderful tastes melded together, lime, cilantro, galangal, lemon grass, so completely developed and full flavored 👍👍 👍
- giant shrimp, tails on, so tender and delicious and lots of them. 👍👍👍
Bottom line, I've been hunting for the best Tom Yum in SoCal, and I have found it at Royal Thai Orchid. I was settling before, now, never more. Makes me REALLY want to taste their other menu items. Just ordered Tom Yum for the 4th time in the past week (yes, I am obsessed and yes, it's that good), but this time I ordered some stuffed chicken wings as well. Will be amazing I'm sure. 😁“

We had 4 dishes... Hanuman's ceviche, Tom Kha Gai, Massaman, Pad See Ew and a nice glass of Malbec. My favorites were the ceviche and Massaman. But everything was so good. Hubs liked everything. There was literally no wait at 3 pm but come soon... Once word gets out this place will have a 45 min wait just like the mother location on Bristol.“

“I ordered the Chicken pad thai (Medium Spice) not thai level spice so if I do come back, definitely getting spicy with extra spice on the side. The space inside makes you feel like you're transported back to Thailand (there was a cab in the front of the menu screen) and limited seating, a couple of tables outside. Overall rating, 4.6 stars for me, I know google doesn't give me the options for the point six. The pad thai was really good, not too mushy, chicken not over done and love that they added the Vietnamese chives ( hẹ) and bean sprouts along with peanuts, gives an extra crunch in every bite. “Have been picking up takeout from this neighborhood staple for 26 years and I know people who have been eating here since 1990. D Thai Chinese is apparently a one-woman operation; the owner takes orders, cooks, serves etc. all by herself, and she is so sweet and friendly.
I can only respect how D Thai's prices remain lower than other Thai/Chinese places in the area, although the prices have been raised in the last year or so (two dollars up per lunch and dinner special). The quality of the food however has remained reliably good, fresh cooked to order, and flavorful. I don't know enough about Chinese or Thai cooking to comment on how authentic it is, but it's pretty good in my opinion and that's what matters most to me.
I've tried most of the menu over the years and the standouts to me are the fried rice, thai basil chicken, mongolian beef, beef salads, and pad see ew. The majority of the menu is four stars, but those are the five star items in my experience.
Be advised, cash only and takeout only! For what it is -- a takeout Asian hole-in-the-wall restaurant -- D Thai is a respectable local treat that I will allow myself pretty regularly within my budget. Since the owner lady is so likeable and impressive, and the food is plentiful and decent quality for your dollar, I have to rate this place five stars overall.

“I have been going to Thai Pepper for decades now. There food is always just spot on and the lunch special of $9.95 is a great deal. You get an entree in which I always get The Mint Leaves Chicken, fried rice, two fried wontons and a salad. My only suggestion would be to put the salad in a separate little box so it does not get hot next to the hot food. Other than that the food is excellent and great prices. You can get it mild to very hot on the spice! I stick with mild and my friend always gets the level 10 hot, hot, 🔥🥵 HOT. I would die, but different strokes for different folks.👍🤤🎉“
