Going to the winery, you don’t get a huge hullabaloo, or glitzy glam, like you would from the the Disneyland, wineries of today’s Sonoma and Napa, counties, but something of more of a throwback of yesteryear, When it was more about the grape, and less about the show. I would recommend this winery to anyone who likes to take a road less traveled. The journey will reward you well.“

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.“

“Friendly service. Was a bit of a lunch rush so it was a bit of a wait. The chicken salad sandwich on Dutch crunch was a perfect lunch on the beach. They do have a nice patio to also eat on. There are some gift items and snacks for purchase along the register as well. Easy parking as well.“

That being said Josh, Our Host, server and cook was kind, knowledgeable, prompt, fun & Friendly. We had the Whamola Weiners (sorry if I spelled that wrong). They were Pretty great! The Dutch Crunch buns were the best part for Me. Classed up Trashy food I LOVE IT 😉!

“We were looking for a free tour of a local winery without the wine tasting as we were there early in the morning. Balletto is part of the Sonoma county "Vinyard Adventure" program which offers a free self-guided tour. It was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly, Rob answered our questions and then let us move on to our self-guided visit of the vines. It was great and a great option if you're looking for an affordable activity. Their wine tasting prices are also more reasonable than most wineries around. Highly recommend if you are in the area.“

She shared awesome conversation of how she came about her salmon chowder. Great, family style atmosphere! We can't wait to return!“

And the wines... So light... So smooth you could and can drink them all day. The Pinot Noir's are simply perfect and should be sampled if you are on the fence about what to get.“

“Yes, I recommend Screamin’ Mimi’s, but after today’s visit I may need a new neck. SM’s has always had at least 2 easy-to-read menus viewable, at least one inside and one outside. Not now. Now the ice cream flavors are on just one electronic screen right by the cash register and it’s really high. As in Really HIGH. Lots of small print. I was wondering what kind of neck damage I was incurring while trying to read the menu. The group behind me had some little kids and the adults were having a hard time trying to read and translate (what’s lavender?) the list to them. Or, if you prefer a QR code, it’s also right next to the cash register. Don’t forget your phone! In other words, everyone who hasn’t seen today’s menu before they arrive will be stuck trying to figure out their order while standing next to the cash register, peering at a complex menu, creating a traffic jam and longer line. Please, Mimi’s, don’t have the list so high and don’t put it just before the cash register.“

We were greeted warmly, and felt immediately welcomed and at home. Jason was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we got a couple of splashes before we committed to a glass for purchase. Jason gave us additional recommendations for spots in the area, which helped us get in to two locations we might have otherwise had trouble making appointments at.
