“This is one of my go-to places for lomo saltado and pollo a la brasa. The portions are big, and the seasoning is just right. The staff is always welcoming, and the place has a cozy, family-owned vibe. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. Their green sauce is addictive — I ask for extra every time.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in all of LA. I never post reviews but I had to write one about this place. This is the best seafood I have ever eaten hands down - the combination of flavors that Octavio has thoughtfully curated is completely unique to anything I’ve experienced and will send you to a different dimension (try the king kanpachi tostada!) Not to mention Octavio is a great hang and makes you feel like an old friend. His kindness is matched only by his charm. This is the perfect restaurant, if I could give it a thousand stars I would.“

“I was in search of a good Chile Relleno Burrito and Google Maps suggested Calimex. I'm so glad it did! Easily one of the best I've ever had. The poblano chile was the star of the show. It was fresh and green, didn't taste heavily fried or buried underneath a ton of cheese. And the rice and beans packed a ton of flavor. Great flour tortilla too. It didn't look like the flour tortillas were homemade, but they were so fresh and delicious they could pass for homemade. Definitely a labor of love, the whole family is back there in the kitchen having a good time together and making incredible food. Will be back! Looked like a popular gathering spot for families and groups.“

“Best savory empanadas in town!
They’re big but not cheap. Most are more than $5 each. They’re packed full of food though! They are aesthetically pleasing - especially the spinach and cheese one.
The spinach and cheese empanada is their best. It’s a masterpiece! It’s really flavorful. Great spinach taste! The ham and cheese empanada is also very good but a bit greasy. I’ve tried some of the other empanadas and they’re good too.
The deli part of the restaurant has all kinds of Chilean goodies! Like wines!
They have a deli and a restaurant. I haven’t been to the restaurant in a while but the food is good there too.
Parking is a problem but they have a lot in the rear.“

“Decided to try this place out and wanted to try different items for my own personal knowledge. As seen in the photos I got ahead of myself and started eating before taking pictures. I got a cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink, 2 tacos, and 2 pupusas. I tried everything individually and tried the sauces on their own to fill taste the flavor. The cheeseburger combo was great and flavorful. The fries were made to perfection with the perfect crisp. The pupusas were very good too along with the curtido and salsa. Salsa is very flavorful and the curtido has a kick of heat to it. The tacos were good with the perfect blend of flavor even without the salsa. Tries the green salsa on its own and it was so good and flavorful. Def going to come back to eat here again. The lady cooking and taking orders is so sweet and she makes her food with love. I told her imma try a bit of everything to see what I like and she said I’d love it all. She wasn’t wrong. For all this food that can feed about 3 people, I spent $23. Which is a great deal from my pov. Went back the next day for a carne asada plate and paid extra to get some grilled shrimp on it. Was definitely worth it and it was so good.“

“They treated me very kindly and the food is very delicious. I ordered 2 plates of roast beef and a plate of roast chicken. They served it with beans, rice, chives, elbow or fresh salad and tortillas. We were very satisfied. For me, the price of the dish is good. .“

“La Fe’s On’ry menu is one of the most exciting dining experiences we had lately. It’s the kind of spot where every dish feels intentional ... bold flavors, thoughtful textures, and a touch of surprise. If you’re someone who likes to explore beyond the usual, this is absolutely the menu to go for.
What We Ordered & Loved:
Bread Service
Don’t skip this. The cultured butter comes whipped into silky ribbons, sprinkled with smoked salt, and served with warm bread. It looks simple but the flavor is next-level. The butter is so good you’ll probably want to finish every last smear. The chef made a mango jam and it goes so well!
Deviled Blue Crabs
One of the most eye-catching presentations of the night....served inside actual crab shells over rock salt. The filling is smoky, savory, and layered with richness from the tomato butter and a lift of Meyer lemon. It’s indulgent but balanced, and definitely a conversation starter at the table.
Kanpachi Crudo
This was one of my personal favorites. Fresh kanpachi paired with radish, cucumber, mushrooms, and a touch of chili heat. The bee pollen kosho and chamomile oil give it a delicate, floral note that makes it stand out from the usual crudos. Bright, clean, and perfect to share.
Tea Leaf Salad
Easily the most surprising dish. It comes loaded with herbs, crunchy shallots, toasted nuts, tomatoes, and romaine. Every bite is different.. crunchy, tangy, fresh, with that slight umami depth from the tea leaves. If you like texture, this is the dish to order.
Mussel and Potato
A heartier plate that’s still elegant. Mussels in a silky sake lees broth, paired with tiny potatoes that soak up all the flavor. The broth itself is so good you’ll want bread on the side just to scoop it all up.
Cherries and Cream
Dessert here is not an afterthought. What looks rustic turns out to be layered and complex — cherries with cream, brown butter crumble, hibiscus, and even fresh herbs to cut through the sweetness. It’s creamy, crunchy, tart, and fresh all at once. A perfect ending.
A final thoughts....
Service is warm and unpretentious — the staff clearly knows the menu well and seems genuinely excited to walk you through it. Dishes come out thoughtfully paced, and the presentation strikes that perfect middle ground between rustic and refined.
Insider Tips
Start with the bread service — it sets the tone and the butter is unforgettable.
The deviled blue crabs are a must if you want something show-stopping.
Save room for dessert — the cherries and cream will surprise you in the best way.
Portions are made for sharing — come with at least 2–3 people so you can try more plates.
Don’t overlook the tea leaf salad — it’s easily one of the most unique and refreshing dishes ...
Also the menu changes so its an adventure...“

“This was our third brunch at Encanto. The service was excellent. Fortunately, the formerly very loud music has been toned down. So, we could actually carry on a conversation. The appetizers were good. However, I think they have substituted smoked salmon for the delicious smoked trout, that was previously served. The salmon was good. But, it was not as special as the smoked trout. We were served just one corn muffin, that we shared between us. The fresh fruit was substantial, & we took most of it home. The Lobster Benedict was, again, wonderful. The other dish ordered was the Asada & Eggs, which was perfectly cooked & delicious.“

“Apple Maps suggested it. Good coffee. No selection on non-sweet pastries. Disappointed on that. But still good coffee. I-5 n broadway location.“
“This place is very hole in the wall. It's located in the alley way between Wall Street and Maple Ave. The entrance is only located in the middle of the alley driveway. I can best describe the food as a mix of Mexican, Salvadorean. I'm biased, I always order their asada burrito and it has never been bad. Meat was flavorful, just the right amount of rice and beans, cilantro and onions. Their red sauce is spicy and goes well with the burrito. I've always ordered takeout, and never ate inside the restaurant. Service has always been quick for me, as you walk up to the counter inside, place your order and pay when it comes out. They are usually busy during the day as they serve all the locals around here. The delivery person is usually busy, coming in and out taking orders. The caldos seem to be popular here as well as the pupusas. The establishment seems to be a family owned and operated joint.
The prices are more than fair for the food you are getting. If I remember correctly, the burrito that I ordered is $13 and you get a LARGE burrito that is packed. You will get full off this burrito. I've been there a few times, and I definitely want to go back so I can try their other dishes and see if they are just as good. Give them a shot if you're in the area for a quick bite. I believe they're worth it.“

“With every new Peruvian restaurant that I go to, I just have to try their Lomo Saltado since that's my barometer for Peruvian cuisines, and Bodegon No 69 very much delivers!
The Lomo Saltado is a classic, must-try staple in Peruvian cuisine. Cooked in a wok with soy sauce (there is a lot of Chinese influence in Peruvian cuisine due to the historical Silver trade between China and Spain within Peru), the best kinds of Lomo Saltado is bursting with flavor. The Beef here is thick and hearty, and the sauce is so delicious. The fries are also nice and crisp, too. There's a reason it's one of my favorite dishes and Bodegon serves it well!
To be fair, Bodegon is a bit pricier than majority of Peruvian restaurants that I've gone to, but it also offers a few items I have not seen elsewhere. Most notably, the Anticuchos or beef heart skewers. Heart is one of those meat choices that can be polarizing because of its tougher chewy texture (it is a muscle after all), but this Anticuchos grilled meat is just tender enough and the flavor is so good, especially with their Rocoto Sauce and Patata Brava (Peruvian-style fries potatoes). Only the corn feels forgettable. It's an adventurous dish that is rewarding to your taste buds!
On the other hand, the Tiradito a La Crema Ceviches is a bit underwhelming. It's thin-sliced Hamachi and the mild Aji Amarillo sauce is just a bit polite and mild-mannered. Maybe the other Ceviches are better here.
Lastly, you can't really have Peruvian cuisine without the proper Peruvian drinks, and I highly suggest the Inka Cola and if you fancy an alcoholic drink, the delicious Pisco Sour, which is the national cocktail consisting of pisco (grape brandy), lime juice, syrup, and egg white, with bitter sprinkled up top. It may be similar to a margarita, but it is just so much tastier!
All in all, Bodegon No 69 has some delicious, albeit pricier, but delicious Peruvian cuisine. Just skip the Traditional Ceviches. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and the interior is very cozy and warm.“
