“Went to Sushiya in July while moving my daughter to near Santa Barbara area. The food was amazing and so tasty that we basically left the plates clean. But to our surprise when the owner found out my daughter was moving there by herself she offered her cell number in case she ever needed any help or have questions about anything. This was such a heartwarming gesture that we felt so grateful. Warm hearted owner with compassion for others no wonder the food tasted so good.“
“I love sushi! I love good sushi even more!Sushi Teri has great food. The menu is about 2/3 sushi with the remaining 1/3rd comprised of Asian fair hailing from different parts of the continent . Most of the food, however is a rendition of Japanese cuisine.I was impressed at how quickly our food arrived (party of 5 no less) without any sacrifice of quality.Another perk... it's affordable. Good sushi and cheap sushi are different things. While I wouldn't call this cheap, I will say that it's not prohibitively expensive for most folks. Maybe not every night but even as a penny pincher I definitely wouldn't panic at the thought of shelling out for the bill here on date night. My recommendation: The sashimi dinner is a great meal for those who want to go light on the carbs. My favorite, however is the sushi combo. It comes with 2/3rds the sashimi as the sashimi dinner but has an assortment of sushi instead. I like it because I get the best of both worlds for an almost identical pricetag. Each comes with soup, salad and rice.Drinking alcohol at restaurants can be pricey but if you want to loosen up while you sushi up they have you covered. 10 bucks gets you a massive 36 ounce mug of Sapporo beer. Even as a person who doesn't like the taste of alcohol I still enjoy a giant crispy Asian brew with my sushi. So there you have it. Worth a go if you are in the neighborhood. I try and eat there every time I'm in town. I used to eat at Somethings Fishy in downtown Santa Barbara but switched because I liked Teri better.I don't know if He is still there but the last few times I went there was this old guy working the sushi bar who knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I think he may have been the owner. Anyway I thought it was fun to watch him work his sushi making skills so if you go by yourself or with a date (it would make for some great first date conversation during an awkward silence) I recommend sitting at the bar.Parking: Strip style mall parkingKid-friendliness: Bench seats, small rollsWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, plenty of room for a chair, ramp up the curb.“
“The service was honestly worth noting. The young girl who served us was quick and getting after it! No hesitation to serve. And she served with care and attention. Besides her, you noticed the other staff were really trying to do their job well. Great staff and good food ?“
“Great food, great service, and an amazing rooftop dining area when the weather is right! We've been numerous times - pretty much anytime we're visiting SB. It's a perfect spot for couples or small groups of friends. And, while the menu is seafood/sushi heavy (great for us!) there are plenty of other options for the vegetarians and non-seafood folks in your group. We always aim to try a few new items whenever we visit, but our favorites continue to be the Crispy Korean Cauliflower, Crispy Tuna Nigiri, and our all-time favorite - the Seared Yellowtail Box Roll!“
“We went and got a variety of specialty rolls and one of the specials (seared yellow tail with jalapeño). We also got the spicy edamame as a start and it was fantastic! I liked the variety and the rolls were great. My one complaint was that the spicy (fiery roll) wasn't very spicy! I could have used more spice in the spicier rolls but I added wasabi and it was delicious.“
“Some of the best sushi I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Pro tip: Sit at the bar and watch as the chefs freshly prepare your meal. The flavors are truly out of this world. I still dream about this plate! Extensive sake selection to choose from. Quaint interior and large exterior patio seating area. Definitely in the ranks for best sushi in town.“
“This is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to and I crave the sushi all day this place truly serves the best sushi with fresh ingredients and adding on to the delicious food the atmosphere and general building is beautiful I definitely recommend this place!“
“All around an awesome restaurant! The food is amazing, the portion size is good, the service is awesome and fast, the atmosphere is comfortable for couples or large groups! Loved the Spicy Albacore Salad and we got a Summer Freash Roll that isn't on the menu but worth asking for! So delicious!“
“I loved the ramen. The portions were large, and the broth was delicious. They had a gluten-free option. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. There were a couple of items I didn't see on the menu that I would have added to my bowl, but it's not a deal breaker. I would definitely go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free option available. Veggie option available.“
“Love this hole-in-wall!!! First timers from LA and will definitely be back when I’m in Santa Barbara / Goleta again. Yinh the owner is so warm and welcoming!! She treats you like family. Service was impeccable and the fish is out of this world. Quality is 11/10. Everything melts in your mouth and is full of flavor. Highly highly recommend this place.“
