“Very interesting addition to the local area, not expecting Creole food in California, but welcome nonetheless! The Seafood Gumbo was full of catfish chunks, bay scallops, and a couple shrimp. It came out steaming hot and stayed that way the whole time I ate it. The cornbread was also moist and a welcome addition. They are also a breakfast place with plenty of traditional options available. Great place to get your fix without having to head to Louisiana.“

“Trying new local spots I came across this place immediately fell in love with it as they have chicken and waffles on their menu and don’t get me started on their omelettes besides the food being top tier the staff has always been amazing, courteous and always polite. Caitlin is the one that’s helped me a few times and she’s an exceptional employee she honestly deserves a raise because the customer service for a food place like this is beyond what I expected. “I absolutely loved my experience at Hummus Republic in Isla Vista! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so welcoming and friendly — they really made me feel like a valued guest. The service was fast, everything was super clean, and the whole vibe of the place was upbeat and inviting.

The food? Incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made just the way I like it. I built my own bowl and was so impressed by how many options they had — delicious proteins, amazing sauces, and fresh toppings galore. It’s healthy, filling, and honestly addicting in the best way.

“Okay this place is amazing! The staff is always so wonderful too! Truly the closest thing to authentic homemade Mexican food. I understand that with any restaurant cross contamination is a thing but unfortunately here I occasionally end up with meat in my food, despite ordering veggie options. I just remove it and keep eating though so it's not an issue but I'm putting a 5/5 either way because it's so worth it. Other than that we eat here pretty often and I wish the company all the success in the world because they are so wonderful. Don't forget to order your horchata because it just ties the meal together.“

“It was really good! Actually probably one of my preferred drunken noodles I've had in the area, flavor-wise. I avoided trying this place for years because of the reviews and finally tried it out because of the new management. The lunch special is an awesome deal. Friend also liked the pad thai (me too, which is rare because usually I find it too sweet)

Portions are about the same as other thai places. Hot spicy is more like medium. Will try out the thai spicy next time but hopefully they will still give the sauce and flakes to go because I'm definitely using them for instant noodles.“

My only complaint is that they went a little skimp on the noodles but the flavor was on point and came with all the fixings that a traditional Pho place comes with. “It's your standard little caesars pizza, it was good and we ordered a fresh pizza. The breadsticks were burnt though, so a little bummed about that.
I was to shout out the older gentleman who took my order last night though! There was a bit of a language barrier between us as his was heavy Spanish but he was patient with me! Super nice man!!“

We got the udon noodles and only were able to eat half the dish so I also get a tasty treat tomorrow. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was insanely quick especially for a busy day.
