“Gourmet experience on their Thursday menu“

“Have been visiting Bob's since they opened. It is consistently busy with travelers as well as a local trade. Best for me to come early esp on weekends. Other days & times a line may be expected, so I try to be prepared by studying the menu flyers before hitting the counter. When my turn comes, I order breads/pastries first, then meals or drinks prefaced by 'For Here' or 'To Go' as a signal. (awesome) cookies are displayed to the right of the pay station, so scope them out before ordering. Staff works well together and is efficient, packs to-go orders with care and busses tables quickly and pleasantly. Having worked retail and in a bakery/gift shop, I tip even for takeout. Service and kitchen staff def earn it- I'm happy to, as a thank you. Remember there is another equally charming location, located in Ballard townsite along Alamo Pintado, the main road between Solvang and Los Olivos, and is reached easily from 101 from north or south via Highway 154. ( Los Olivos is another village with many local wine tasting rooms and galleries for perusing after a meal)“

“Sanford Winery in the Lompoc Valley was the highlight of our Santa Maria wine tasting trip and easily our favorite winery we visited.

The setting alone is stunning—tucked privately between rolling hills with wide-open views and vineyards literally about 10 feet away (easy, AMAZING photo spot!). Sitting outside in comfy chairs by the fireplace while a light rain drizzled felt like something out of a movie. It was peaceful, cozy, and incredibly relaxing.

Both the reds and whites were excellent—a rare win across the board. One of the older gentlemen in our group actually makes his own wine and was genuinely impressed by Sanford’s quality, which says a lot. The wines were reasonably priced, and we happily brought two bottles home—the first and last pours from the tasting menu.

The hospitality really stood out. When some of us got cold, they offered us blankets without hesitation. We never felt rushed; they let us take our time and truly enjoy the experience. Even at the end of the day, when they had run out of charcuterie, they gave us a soft close and let us stay a bit late, which made the visit feel warm and unhurried.

This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. Between the privacy, the views, the quality wine, and the thoughtful service, Sanford made our vacation feel extra special. We will absolutely be back.“

“Rudy's in Buellton is delicious! Everything tastes delicious and they give big portions! They also have fair prices and they are not stingy with their yummy salsa. “We chose Babcock Winery after reviewing the website. Our visit was everything we hoped for - a relaxing, casual and informative wine tasting experience. Jason, friendly and knowledgeable, poured the wine while offering facts about the origin of the fruit and the wine makers approach for each wine in the flight. The winery has a large indoor area and comfortable seating. We opted for one of the outdoor shady patio spaces where we could sip and enjoy snacks from home. A bonus was the company of the black winery cat. Two favorites were selected for purchase before we left Babcock Winery, the 2023 Radical Pinot Noir and the 2023 Top Cream Chardonnay.“

“Presqu’ile had been recommended many times and so happy we finally made the trip. The mezze picnic lunch was outstanding (a must have - the chef rotates the seasonal menu about once a month), the wines were delish, and we had excellent service from Tom. Felt like we really got to know the place and the wines on a beautiful afternoon. Plus… Walter Anderson prints inside, harkening to the owners southern heritage! Be sure to plan in advance and make a reservation as it’s popular and books out.“

“While planning a mini roadtrip through PCH last week, my hubby had this place on his list for a lunch spot. It was recommended by a buddy of his and we ended up really enjoying it! We were staying about 20 mins away, so it wasn't too out of our way.

We arrived right before noon and there was plenty of parking. We headed into the taproom and checked out the place. It's a very nicely built brewery and it was pretty lively inside. There was the option for outdoor seating, bar seating and booth seating available. It was a beautiful day outside, so we opted to sit outside. The staff was very kind and attentive.

I wasn't feeling like drinking much, especially because I was going to be the one driving next. I already knew I liked the Cali Squeeze Blood Orange, so I ordered the Cali Squeeze Peach Pomegranate this time, which was deliciously refreshing. My hubby ordered a variety of barrel aged beer like the Parabola and Anniversary are the only ones I remember. All I know is he really enjoyed them, especially with his Cali-Western Smash Burger he ordered lol. I ordered the Mezze Burrata & Chickpea Salad with Chicken which was amazing! I would love to eventually visit their other locations. Totally recommend!“

“One of our favorite wineries in the area. Alexis, Logan, and the rest of the staff are always very helpful and generous with the pours :-) The setting is gorgeous. Perfect to bring a picnic lunch and sit at the tables on their outdoor patio, overlooking the vineyards. They often have live music on weekends. Love the Beton Blanc.“

“From a quick check here on maps, we didn't see beer so we went to a far more expensive place up the street first. That place was out of 2 beers that I wanted but we ordered a different one and we're shocked at their high menu prices ($24 for 2 fish tacos!). We may have ordered food if not for the worst chips and salsa we've ever had. Free but tasteless. So, we were a little full by the time we left there and walked over to Burritos Lalo. We split a delicious burrito, and enjoyed the Modelo that we wanted. Great prices, friendly and efficient staff.“

“I first visited in 2010 during a Stagecoach wine tour. Jeff and his wine were equally amazing. I joined his club that day and remain a member today.

We have since returned several times for tastings and visiting with the horses on his ranch. Each visit has been exceptional. This week we spent a night in the guest house, which is available for rent. The accommodations were excellent, and only overshadowed by Jeff and Joanne's hospitality and generosity. Jeff spent hours riding with my daughter and providing her with invaluable education and training.

If you are considering a wine tasting in Buellton or Solvang, you should go on a tour with Stagecoach and request a visit to Bella Cavalli. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the area, I cannot recommend Bella Cavalli more strongly.“

“We tried China Panda for the first time last night to ring in the Chinese New Year a day early. Talk about a hidden gem! We had the pork and cheese fried wontons, BBQ pork fried rice, BBQ pork chow mein and the orange chicken. Everything was excellent! Along with the ambiance and service. We will definitely make it one of our “go to” spots when we are in town. Wish we had one at home! Thanks for a great meal!“
