“Horseless Carriage restaurant is an American diner located at the Galpin Ford dealership serving up large portions of old fashioned and modern comfort food for reasonable prices.

I came to visit Galpin Ford recently after visiting the nearby Sepulveda VA center to look at a pickup trucks for my elderly veteran friend's 5th wheel. Afterwards we were in the mood for a good old fashioned American breakfast and this place really hit the spot!

Pass the big American flag just east of the dealership where a cute sunny patio, counter seating, cozy booths and well spaced tables are all available and wheelchair accessible.

There's an early bird breakfast special which offers light breakfast for under ten dollars for early risers.

We ordered French toast with eggs, bacon and sausage. The French toast was drenched in eggy batter, the bacon was lean and crispy, the eggs were cooked to perfection.

Our server was friendly and service was fast. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant to you fellow world travelers.

“On January 30th our group consisting of about 35 retired cops and guests met at the restaurant for a breakfast meeting. We and were seated in the banquet room and Gail, our server, handled the group cheerfully and efficiently, mostly by herself. She took and delivered all of the orders and deserves credit for her friendly demeanor and keeping her composure while handling this gathering with minimal assistance from the other staff.“

“Nice old school coffee shop diner with a big selection of breakfast items and lunch and dinner items. Prices are not bad, better than most for a place like this. Opened in 1971 I think and it hasn't changed much. A Canoga Park Iconic place.“

“What are great place to have dinner with friends and family. The staff are extremely professional and give you top quality service. Sat at the bar and had one of the best dinners with my mother as well as the wonderful bartender that couldn't stop talking to us (in the best way). Genuine interest in a random customers conversation is as rare as it is refreshing when going to a restaurant. They also gave us incredible recommendations! “First visit but not last. Reserved booth for birthday dinner. Cozy, food tasty, service wonderful, blueberry lemon drop martini yummy. There were two parties there but they’re closed off from main dining room so it wasn’t noisy. Not fast food. They don’t rush you. We were there almost 3 hours. Nice spot for special occasion. Do make a reservation as it filled up after 6:30 on a Saturday night. There’ was live piano music as well as a separate, small sports bar that looked welcoming.“

Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“
