“After seeing a suggestion in a FB group, decided to give this place a try at around 3pm on a Sunday. The lady that rang me up had a welcoming personality and another lady delivered it with a beautiful smile! The menu options are affordable. the food was so fresh and the restaurant was very clean! My day started out ho hum, but with the amazing friendly service and great food, it made my day I left with my tummy and heart happy. This will probably be my new Sunday spot Appreciate Y'ALL!“

“It's not a fancy place. It has a rustic vibe, and the people working there are genuine human beings. A real family restaurant.

On Mother’s Day, a homeless person started a fire outside on the street near the restaurant, and every member of the staff jumped in to help put it out while still managing to take care of all the guests. A corporate place probably would have shut down.

We went with 12 people, and gratuity wasn’t even included on the bill. I gave the waitress a little over a 20% tip, and she said it made her day. I’ve tipped over 20% at corporate places before and didn’t even get a thank you.

The owner is a genuine lady, and the staff are family people. Can’t say enough good things about them. If you're into fancy places, this spot might not be for you. But if you like authentic food, real people, and a rustic restaurant with good vibes, this place is a gem.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! “We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. The Brussels sprouts were my favorite, the spicy margarita was delicious, and the meatballs were really good too. The only downside was the portion sizes, they were pretty small, and we all agreed on that. Other than that, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was nice.“

Eat N Park, an Armenian owned restaurant offers a huge breakfast with some lunch additions. This place offers dishes packed with flavor, huge portions and low prices! The omelets are amazing, the Belgian waffles, strawberry crepes fantastic & the pancakes are out of this world!!! And don’t get me started on the biscuits…hands down the best I’ve ever had! “On a Monday, I was frantic to find a comfortable place to host 35 people for a post funeral reception on Friday. I called Chris at Bon Vivant and he took care of the rest. He arranged everything , communicated well and easily and when we got there on the day of, everything was laid out, the food was prepared, Christian and his crew were on hand to make sure everyone had water and drinks. The food was perfect and SO plentiful. The atmosphere was gorgeous as always, and the crew could not have been nicer. It really was the best I could have hoped for on so many levels. “The bar at the Valley Inn is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in LA. Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! The food in the restaurant is great but a tad expensive but the bar will become your new happy place. Bravo“
