“After seeing a suggestion in a FB group, decided to give this place a try at around 3pm on a Sunday. The lady that rang me up had a welcoming personality and another lady delivered it with a beautiful smile! The menu options are affordable. the food was so fresh and the restaurant was very clean! My day started out ho hum, but with the amazing friendly service and great food, it made my day I left with my tummy and heart happy. This will probably be my new Sunday spot Appreciate Y'ALL!“

“It's not a fancy place. It has a rustic vibe, and the people working there are genuine human beings. A real family restaurant.

On Mother’s Day, a homeless person started a fire outside on the street near the restaurant, and every member of the staff jumped in to help put it out while still managing to take care of all the guests. A corporate place probably would have shut down.

We went with 12 people, and gratuity wasn’t even included on the bill. I gave the waitress a little over a 20% tip, and she said it made her day. I’ve tipped over 20% at corporate places before and didn’t even get a thank you.

The owner is a genuine lady, and the staff are family people. Can’t say enough good things about them. If you're into fancy places, this spot might not be for you. But if you like authentic food, real people, and a rustic restaurant with good vibes, this place is a gem.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! “We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

Staff was excellent and attentive. Food was amazing and very, very creative. The brick barrel vaulted ceiling that runs the length of the restaurant really adds to the ambiance of this place. Out of the seven dishes, only two were not as flavorful as expected. They were good by most other restaurant's standards, but just not great like the others. The other five dishes more than made up for this small blip.Can't wait to go again.

Lamb chops with Aji Amarillo, rosemary, and yogurt. These were the most tender lamb chops I have ever had. And that often overly-lamb flavor was not there.
And do not pass up on the Charred Skirt Steak with yuca, chile de árbol, and aji mojo. Cooked to a perfect medium rare and extremely tender and exploding with flavor. The most expensive item of our dinner at $48 and absolutely worth it.“

Eat N Park, an Armenian owned restaurant offers a huge breakfast with some lunch additions. This place offers dishes packed with flavor, huge portions and low prices! Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! The food in the restaurant is great but a tad expensive but the bar will become your new happy place. Bravo“

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. We basically had it all to ourselves. Our server was amazing, recommended nearby spots for a complete “New York” experience to top off our night. The drink and food we ordered were to die for - Afrobeets, Lamb Tartare, and Yellowtail Crudo. Definitely a beautiful spot you must try!!!“
