“Finally stopped by for dinner on the way home after always driving by, and so glad I did! Seems like a delivery/pickup heavy spot so I basically had the dining room to myself. Very kind and friendly staff, great prices, and ridiculously good food with big portions. A good strong Thai iced coffee, perfectly seasoned crispy pork with Chinese broccoli, and delicious siumai. My food photography is trash, but good lord this was a great meal. You can hear the woks firing off in the back and taste how incredibly fresh everything is.

“The 5 stars is for the service, staff and attentiveness. The environment is also pleasant. That said, the food is very heavy and rich, without notable flavor. We ordered 7 different dishes. The meat and fish quality seemed very good but the preparation and flavors were seriously lacking. It was just really hard to get through the plates with nothing fresh, nothing crisp and no contrast of lightness. There isn’t a single fresh green salad on the menu. Our stomachs simply all hurt for the duration of the evening afterward. Too much oil? I didn’t have an appetite for the next day and felt queasy! Quite odd.“

We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. Booked online. No back and forth emailing and trying to figure out a PDF. They were very communicative. Logos on the menus. Generous mimosas. Multi course menu with variety for different dietary needs.

Bonus is that our event was on the weekend so the lot next the restaurant was flat rate.“
