“I made an order for pick up. I was not prepared! This is the BEST butter chicken I’ve EVER eaten!!! 6 out of 5 stars! I was stuffed, so saved my chili chicken momo. Only issue was that when you order garlic naan, you get only o e piece, where every other place serving naan will give minimum two. But it was delicious! Will be coming back for the butter chicken guaranteed.“
“Last week my wife and I were looking for authentic Persian food, we found it! Incredibly delicious food, we both had different lamb dishes. I tried both, truly a delicacy, with large meat portions and Persian bread with sesame seeds.Went back this week and tried the smoked tri tip sandwich, it was amazing. Not a large restaurant, a bit hidden away, but so worth a visit. You will not be disappointed!“

“We ordered half & half, Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka, perfection! The seasoning, the dough, the freshness. It was really good. The customer service was welcoming and the restaurant was clean. I didn’t get a photo because we were too busy eating but I did pull this photo from their reviews for reference of what we wanted. Our pizza looked just like this and tasted amazing. First time here and we will definitely be back. A large was $32. Reasonably priced for quality of food and service.Vegetarian options: Palak PaneerKid-friendliness: Kid friendly“
“We have had lunch at the Royal Indian several times. We are a group of guys who rotate lunch in the Auburn area. The food is tasty , beer is cold, ( from India and in large bottles) and the service is excellent. The menu is extensive, with different meats and different sauces, plus side dishes. Servings are large and you don't leave hungry! It's a nice setting and pretty quiet so conversation is easy. Parking is on the street or in a nearby community parking lot.“
“I ordered vegetable briyani. If i knew it was mostly rice, I would have ordered something else. The staff was attentive, but had a hard time understanding us. We'd eaten there before, and I made a better choice of food. It would be helpful if there were pictures of the food so you'd know what you're ordering.“
“A friend took me here. Everything we ordered was top notch: Rogan Josh, Chicken Mahkani, Naan, Mango Lassi, Chai Tea. I would gladly drive here from south sac just to eat here! The wuality of ingredients, the traditional methods of cookery, It was a wonderful experience which was only made better by the service which was attentive, and extremely friendly. Highly Recommended!!“
“We stopped here on a short road trip for lunch. We got a sampling of food. The paneer Tikka masala was amazing along with the yellow lentils. The small plates are not that small and I love the dipping sauces that came with the dosas. I would come back again.“
“After making a spontaneous decision to show up here with my party of literally 20 people, I expect irritation at best and bad service at worst but they don't even miss a beat! Sat us immediately, all with smiles and wonderful attentiveness. Got our food in a timely manner, No ridiculous waits for such a large group. Nothing. Pleasantly surprised!“
“I came in here with my two non south Asian friends so we got a little bit of extra attention. We did the buffet which was great they had a lot of veg and non veg options! They had a live dosa station and pani puri station too. The staff was really attentive. The manager pointed out what was halal and what wasn't. He specified that normally everything is halal but there was an ordering mix up so one of the items was not. I felt really assured because of that. Food was great. Spice level for me was just fine (could have been spicier) one of my friends loved the food but couldn't handle the spice (they tried real hard though). We were so focused on the food we forgot to take photos!Dietary restrictions: Has halal food“
“We stopped here for dinner based on some friends recommendation. Tried the chicken biryani, goat and chicken curry, roast chicken, mixed vegetables, and fried Pomphret (Thai) style. Everything tasted fantastic. The portion sizes could be a little more.“
“So I really like Indian food but have a very basic understanding of this mostly vegetarian cuisine. This lunch buffet is awesome because you get to try ALLLLL the dishes. Obviously lots of veggie options (including vegetarian samosas and spring rolls), 1 fish dish, 3 chicken offerings and, much to my delight and surprise: goat. I LOVE lamb and goat and it is SO hard to find on the menu. Perfect little chunks of meat still clinging to the bone. If you know good food, then you know the joy of sucking the marrow out of the bone and these did NOT dissapoint!!!! But did they stop here? NOPE. There are dessert balls - which are like tiny donut holes soaking in a lovely honey sauce as well as mango soft serve (I mean, really, what self respecting buffet is complete without soft serve?). And on top of this feast (oh right, 3 kinds of naan: plain, garlic, and fried) they have a huge thermos like carafe with warm chai... all this for $18.99 per person. If you like Indian food but don't know anything about it or you're back from college break and want to introduce your parents to something new, this is a great place because you can try so many different (delicious) dishes for an incredibly reasonable price.“
“What ? yummy Thali! And it's unlimited quantity . The servers are so kind and courteous, they check on you so many times. My husband and I love the thali, We get a very good amount of food and each dish is so flavorful, we can repeat the lentils are the items that we loved. They also give a drink with this and desert. We tried their onam Thali and it was out of the world! Even better than the Bay Area Sadia thalis I have had.Courtesy and customer service are fantastic as well. Our "to go "place for weekend brunch“
“Quite good Indian food. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. It's possible that's because we dined when they were not too busy. Anyway, you can tell they make things more fresh than other Indian restaurants. Naans are great, and their butter chicken / paneer is very flavorful. I'd go back.“
“The place is small and has too much stuff but the food is great. Nothing less of what I expect from a way more expensive restaurant. The SERVICE is INCREDIBLE!!! Warm and kind, servers waiting with enthusiasm. It worth a lot. Highly recommend if you are hungry and anywhere near citrus heights. Other wise it worth the trip! Enjoy ! Namaste!“
“This is our new favorite Indian food in Sacramento. We came on a Sunday. The polite waiter said they have new management and a new cook. We had vegetable pakora, chicken biryani, garlic naan, and chicken korma. Everything was excellent.“
“Drove from Sacramento to experience some South Indian deliciousness and Boy! I was NOT disappointed!! Ordered the Appam, Chicken curry, Egg curry and Chicken kothu paratha. The appam and curries were perfectly spiced and reminiscent of my mom's home cooking. I had never had kothu paratha before and I could not recommend it more if you are a fan of parathas!! I will definitely be returning and totally worth the 30 minute drive for a taste of my Kerala roots!!“
“Great staff and awesome food... Hope they start in austin, texas soon... we have ordered mini tiffin combo, combo, ratna cafe idly, parotta kurma, poori kurma, rava masala dosa, lassi, buttermilk all the items must try and taste was so good and “
“I can say it is the best Indian food I have tried in a while. The place was clean and inviting. The food is cooked perfectly and it is so tasty. Even tho I didn't stay to eat in. The man that helped me with my checkout was polite and professional.“

“This place is great I loved the food, however highly disliked the service, there was no one to be found near us. We had to call the waiter a few times fire water, more food etc. The waitress was rather rude. I somewhat recommend this place. Yes for food, no for service.“
“Absolute FIRE lunch buffet. I'm just your average dude that digs Indian cuisine. My wife and I came here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. We've always enjoyed the carry out food but decided to give the lunch buffet a try. It DID NOT disappoint! The cost and the quality of the food were incredible. We will definitely be returning. Would recommend the samosas and the avocado pakora!“
“Had buffet and for $17 it was such a good spread! (in a world where one A La carte is $12-$14, and this is unlimited buffet- there was veg biryani, samosas, naan, 3 veggie curries, daal, idly, sambhar, rice, 2 desserts, and 4 non-veg curries and maybe even more! The free masala chai is always welcome with buffet. The service was so good, the gentleman who seated us, he got fresh idlies to our table and chutney. Jalebi and mysore pak were desserts. will definitely go again!Vegetarian options: 8 out of 14 curries in buffet were veg friendly“
“Came n a stranger to this amazing food. I wanted something I saw on their website but was told it was only served for lunch. But once he found out it was my first time eating here he made his chefs cook me that plate so that I could have a taste of their delicious food!?“
“The restaurant is small but very clean and cozy. The food is prepared fresh and tastes exquisite. Service is prompt, courteous, and friendly. The restrooms are nice and well-kept. Overall, a place that I would visit more often if I didn't live so far away.Don't miss out on this great place to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal.“
“I was driving by this place and thought I would stop by. Anyone who knows me knows I love chicken. I got their spicy chicken sandwich with hot sauce and coleslaw. It was delicious . The chicken was fresh, and the coleslaw was crisp. 10 out of 10 on the sandwich. But it also came with fries. The fries had a seasoning on it, which I have never tried. It was amazing. The seasoning was salty but sweet and a little smokey. So good. Also, their ranch was homemade, which is always a much appreciated bonus.“
“Food: fresh Indian spices. Raita included. They brought me a wrong item but gave it anyway, then brought right one. The portions were large. Birani and Allo gobi, buttered naan all great. Samosas were OK but not best in class. Many Indian and Pakistani people streamed in. The table filled soon. The carry out was constant. Atmosphere clean, couteous, and polite; decor was very basic. It was reasonably priced. I will make it a regular. Families and friends were in abundance. Definitely homey. Do again for sure. Very good food. Enough for a second or third meal. Dishes very suitable for sharing.Vegetarian options: Aloi gobi was great!“
“Ambience & feel is nice. Food taste is also good. Recommend starters - sweet & sour cauliflower, veg pakoda were the highlight. Main dish- Roji roti, butter garlic Naan, palak paneer, dal tadka, were tasty. You have the option to adjust spicy as per your taste. Aaloo gobhi was ok types.Didn't like Vegetable Biriyani though.“
