“After a long drive to Half Moon Bay, we were looking for a plack to pickup dinner an Spice Me popped up on Yelp and looked like it had good reviews. It was close to our AirBnb and is pretty centrally located to Half Moon Bay. I couldn't find a website, but luckily their menu was clear in the pictures on Yelp! My husband and I eat Thai often, and anytime we try a new place we order our "go to-s" which is Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles, both with Tofu. They had a lot of spring roll options as well, so I opted for the Fresh Veggie spring rolls because I always love the peanut sauce that usually comes with them. And of course I couldn't resist a thai iced tea :) It was easy to order on the phone and they said everything would be ready in just 15 minutes so I headed out promptly. The restaurant was easy to find and I was happy to see parking right out front. I went on a Sat night around 8pm and there was plenty of street parking spots available. The restaurant was not busy, so if we had wanted to dine in we would have been able to sit at a table right away. The order was already ready when I arrived, and paying at the register was quick and straight forward. The thai iced tea tasted good, it had a pretty strong tea flavor and I was picking up on one ingredient that was heavier than the rest but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. The fresh veggie spring rolls were tasty, lots of greens in them so plenty of crunch. I was a little skeptical of the peanut sauce at first because it was so orange, but it was very good! I would happily eat that all day.The pad thai was also good, pretty standard and I probably would have liked a slightly stronger taste for the sauce, but the tofu tasted very good and I liked that they included a lemon. My husband's drunken noodle was not as traditional as we normally received, it had tomatoes and lettuce included. He also said the sauce was a little bland for him.Overall I think this is a good option if you're staying in Half Moon Bay, and very convenient and quick,“
“Everything we got here was absolutely delicious and authentically crafted. My party of 4 got a feast of food. One I recommend is the Pad Mango as it is something I have never seen on a menu elsewhere. The Massaman curry was probably my second favorite and the Samosas too!To me everything seemed to have a medium spice to it, so be cautious and ask if you can't handle spice. Good lighting for a nice dinner and great service. We live across the bay but will definitely be coming back!“
“Upon entering, the setting was cozy, dimly lit, and there were modest decorations. The waiter bowed and greeted us with a friendly smile. Though they were the only one serving, so it was slightly slow; understandable though. They were still very polite and helpful. Food was light, healthy, and tasty. Samosas were probably the healthiest samosas I've ever had. We also ordered the Pad See Ew (vegetable) as well as brown rice with sweet and sour veggie chicken, which were both sooo delicious. It was fairly busy on a Saturday at 7pm...almost a full house. Overall, great experience. The food tasted and felt like exactly what a body needs! So tasty and healthy. Prices were also fair. I would definitely recommend this place.“
“There are so many options on the menu, and I just wish I could try them all someday. Every single dish is nearly perfect, with some tasting even better than those in the original country. The food here is accessible even for first-timers and those who have never had Asian food before.I’ve heard that the chef is an expert with extensive professional experience in Japan, which reflects in the choice of ingredients that perfectly complement each dish’s flavors. Not to mention the high quality of their service; all the staff are prompt and friendly, well-trained, and equipped with knowledge and experience, ensuring customers have a comfortable and enjoyable time during their visit. It’s the perfect place to recommend, invite, and gather with your friends and family at any time!“
“We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it never fails to impress. The delicious Thai cuisine is a culinary delight, and the staff's kindness enhances the overall experience. The yellow curry is my absolute favorite – a flavorful masterpiece. Five stars without a doubt!“
“Came here yesterday for a work lunch. We were on a time crunch and we let them know. All our dishes came out quickly and were DELICIOUS! I got a seafood stir fry that was amazing, with fresh scallops, mussels, fish. My coworkers got fried fish which was perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding - very attentive. We are already talking about going back!“
“Came here straight from the SFO airport around 9.15pm as almost all (Asian) restaurants were closed at 8 or 8.30pm.Food and service was great. We had garlic prawns, tom yum, fried chicken over fried rice, sticky rice mango and thai iced tea.We left with happy tummy.“
“Love the big bowl of beef combination noodle soup. It was very flavorful. The service was great. I came on a Sunday at lunchtime. There was no wait, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I was even reminded of a free Thai iced tea with a yelp check-in. Good iced tea too.“
“Authentic Thai Cuisine in Half Moon Bay in the Strawflower Shopping Center from the talented Chef formerly of Spice Me. My review is for takeout, the service was friendly and helpful in selecting the level of spice to the Basil Chicken. The Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns was the perfect accompaniment to the Spicy Basil Chicken. The Shui Mai were served with a delicious dipping sauce, we also enjoyed the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls and the Baked Pork Bun. All items were packaged separately with the dipping sauces. There are tables if you choose to dine in.“
