“This place is DIVINE. I’d put it in the top 10 restaurants I’ve ever tried. Truly an incredible experience from the culinary aspect to the service to every attention to detail. The seating is a few tables outside, they brought us complimentary persian tea. Every meal is individually wrapped with cute, themed stickers and decor, which had a special touch. Definitely some of the best persian food I’ve ever had. I’m not a big tahchin person but you MUST get it here. The kabob plates came with salad shirazi as well. Also very affordable for the amount of food we got. Cannot wait to come back here!“

“Wow. I just put my fork in to pull some chicken meat off and it was so tender the bone popped right out (even though it wasn’t my intent) and came off 100% clean. Unreal.. reminds me of the food back home. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu including the fried eggplant vegan sandwich. We got the lemon chicken, falafel, and fried cauliflower, which is more like a cauliflower steak than florets. Delicious but just an fyi.“

“I went here with a group of coworkers on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch (~12pm). Surprisingly, at that time, it wasn't busy. This is a very tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant that isn't found on the main street of LA. Inside the restaurant is small, so they have tables outside. There is a lot of shade, so it's pleasant to sit outside. Parking, however, could be a hassle if you drive here. The tables are located on the street and near the parking lot. Meaning, it felt like a car could hit a table if it got out of control.

I ordered the combo plate (~$16 at the time of this writing). They gave us extra pita bread because our party was pretty big. Everything tasted fresh and home made. The kebabs were sizzling hot right off the grill. The salad was seasoned and crunchy. The hummus wasn't as flavorful or beany tasting, but I preferred it that way because everything else had flavor. The rice balanced any overwhelming flavor.

I'm typically picky and if I find a Mediterranean food that's good, I just stick with that and don't try anything else until someone else recommends or invites me out to eat. Having said that, I would definitely return here.

Summary:
- CLEANLINESS. Clean. They placed spill pads (almost like the one you'd find in the Boiling Crab) for our tables outside.
- COSTS. $ Affordable. $16 for a decently portioned meal. It will definitely fill you up.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff was friendly. They gave us extra pita because we had a large party.
- FOOD QUALITY. Good and perfectly balanced. Not too overwhelming on any one specific dish.
- FOOD QUANTITY. Large portion size.
- BATHROOM. I saw a one gender only bathroom near the cash register. (I didn't enter or use it, so I don't know the condition of it.)
- WAIT TIME. About 10-15 minutes total for our group of 6 people to get everything.“

“We randomly ended up to this restaurant: small, but pleasant, the type of place where you can talk with your friends. Party of three, we had the fish carpaccio, the octopus, and the burger (gourmet burger!). Everything was prepared to perfection. They will definitely see us again.“

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredibly delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. Every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

The staff were also very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the visit. You can really tell they care about their customers and the quality of the food they serve.

“One of the first places I tried in DTLA, Dune is a great spot for vegan mediterranean food and I finally made it in person (I was ordering on doordash prior). We were greeted by a gorgeous young girl with beautiful energy to welcome us in - wish I got her name. The food (as expected) was even better in person! As a holistic vegan who loves her body, this place is great because of the selection of whole, body-loving foods. No ‘vegan’ fake, processed meat or junk. Just the way I like it. The from Scratch Dinner experience offered a variety of different cultural foods from Palestine, Summer shared stories with us about her culture , history, and her upbringing. Making the Food so much more special, knowing that is made with love and it's her form of resistance against oppression that she offers to the world . 20% of the proceeds are donated to Palestinian families, who are experiencing extreme hardships due to the Ongoing G3n!cide in Her Homeland. “Santee Falafel in DTLA is a must.

We ordered the falafel, chicken, and hummus and everything was incredible. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the chicken was flavorful and well seasoned, and the hummus was fresh, smooth, and honestly some of the best I’ve had.

You can tell the ingredients are high quality and everything is made with care. Simple food done right.

“Taste of Tehran was my first time eating at a restaurant in Tehrangeles, and it was an awesome choice. This was definitely one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I've been to in LA. Everything was so great. And yes, I ate a lot of food on the first day here. I started off with some of the stews that included gormeh sabzi, the gheyme, and ash reshteh, which were all very tasty. The surprise hit to me was the Lentil Quinoa Salad. Seriously, one of the best salads I've ever had. It was sweet, refreshing, and savory all at the same time. No words to describe. And then the meats: the koobideh and soltani plate, just fabulous, along with that lentil rice. I can honestly say that Persians make the best rice out of all Middle Eastern countries! Even the barberry rice was amazing. Never had a rice this sweet and fruity before! Overall, an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. It looks like a quick, over the counter order type of restaurant, but the food is top notch. Even Anthony Bourdain has been here!
