“My favorite sushi restaurant! I used to drive out to Emeryville to get their sushi. It's delicious and you can taste the freshness. So glad they opened a place closer to home. I ordered the nigiri combo to go and they had it ready when I got there. Wait staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!“

“We hired Oscar one week before our event on 7/13/24 and he did not disappoint. His churros were delicious, flaky on the outside and nice and doughy on the inside. Even 4 hours later, the churros were still fresh and delicious. All of our party guests took goodie bags home from him. I will definitely look to hire him again for our next event. “It's a place of it all, sweet breads and mexican food too. Sometimes you can buy bread from them at a low price. There's a lot of options for the sweet bread though, sometimes with jelly, some with a whole lot of sugar, which are my favorites. The staff don't walk around, you just order, they give you your bread and you're out. Easy, but if you order genuine food, it'll take around 7 minutes for them to serve a basic meal. They have a lot of options for a bakery. And their cakes look nice, I've never eaten one but they have some for display and they look pleasing. Overall, 4 for me, I love going there for either bread, food or ordering some bread to eat at home with things like beans.“

“So I am always on the prowl for good breakfast joints. This is one of my new spots. I got the corn beef hash two eggs over medium sour dough toast and a cup of coffee. Meal was satisfying and to my surprise it came to just under 20 dollars with a tip. I was extremely pleased and even more happy the place is close to my house where I can pop in and get an inexpensive meal cooked right. Cornbeef was not super oily and the over medium eggs were cooked with no runny whites. Did not even need to ask for hot sauce as she brought it out with out being prompted. Service was good, place was kinda clean but not a concern for me. Good experience, and definitely a place I will visit again.....“

“My son-in-law went to school in Korea, which is how he got familiar with Korean food. Hang Yang BBQ is a short drive from his house, and it's where he eats on special occasions. The BBQ we ate was delicious, but this is not a one-off because I have eaten here three times. It's also a good sign that other customers are Korean. I'll keep coming back.“

That's the way I like them . The burgers are generous for the lettuce and tomato and there are plenty of condiments. You can get sodas or shakes or both.
There are other locations around the East Bay, not as many as there used to, but they're all pretty much equally good including the two that are on MacArthur boulevard, one near High Street and one near fruitvale.
All in all, one of my go-to burger places.
Pro tip, have plenty of napkins ready or just bring your roll of paper towels that you keep in the car.“

“A friend invited me here. The main dish served featured noodles derived from a non-wheat, dark translucent noodle with a very light canola oil. Included were stripes of beef, vegetables, probably including spinach The taste and texture were very satisfying. This was my first Korean food. We liked it so much, we went back for lunch the next day and plan on more visits“

“I meet up with a good friend of mine. We try to meet for breakfast every Friday mornings. Ihop has a wide verity of breakfasts to choose from. They have a great senior's menu. Because we are regular customers they treat us like family. You order your food and in about ten minutes they bring it to you, nice and hot. Very reasonable prices. “My partner and I live closeby, been to a lot of sushi restaurants but this has got to be one of the best ones. Don’t let the slow traffic fool you, this place is a hidden gem for us. As much as we want to tell our friends about it, we don’t want them to discover this place and make it busy.

We usually order the polo bowl, karaage, veggie caterpillar roll, chicken bento, and ocean roll.

“My partner and I were out on a bicycle ride on the bay trail and in search of a good lunch spot where we could sit outside. We came across this place and decided to give it a go. We were very pleased all around! We chose the “Veggie Gourmet pizza” and it was just what we’d were looking for! It was made with tons of fresh cut veggies (saw them cut fresh for our pizza) and a delicious mix of cheeses cooked just right. The pizza was super delicious!! Best pizza I’ve had in a while. The 14” was more than enough for the two of us and it’s very affordable. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our pizza and a couple cold Modelos at a cute little table outside beneath the shade of a large umbrella. We loved this place!

Parking: We were on bicycles but there was a parking lot with plenty of spaces.“

“My first visit to this pizzeria was quite an experience. If you enjoy your pizza dripping with grease, then this spot will definitely satisfy your cravings. However, I personally prefer my pizza on the less greasy side, so I doubt I’ll be coming back for the pizza itself. On the bright side, I must say that their garlic bread is a standout! It’s absolutely fantastic—perfectly toasted with just the right amount of garlic and butter. I could confidently say it’s the best garlic bread I’ve ever tasted, and that alone might just bring me back to indulge in that delicious treat again.“

“I came here on a whim on a Sunday and realized they are closed on Sundays. I decided to come back on a Tuesday and was not disappointed! It's a small place tucked away in the corner of a shopping center. The inside is clean and quaint. The staff is very nice, they greeted me when I came in and when I grabbed my food to leave. The prices are affordable, and the steak sandwiches come with fries included! They have many other menu options, and I will definitely swing by again to try something different from them. I ordered the Bob's Hoagy. It was packed with meat and cheese. It also included fresh onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. There was a good balance of meat, cheese, and produce and a good portion for the price of $13! The fries it came with were perfectly cooked and crispy, and not too greasy.

Parking: This parking lot is always crowded at night.“

We came here before 11am shortly after opening on a Sunday and there was no wait. We decided to try their entrees and skipped the dimsum.

The salted fish chicken eggplant claypot took a long time to come, it came at the end and the eggplants were burnt on the bottom and the skin was tough to chew. It was also submerged in a lot of oil but tastewise it was okay.

The satay beef chow fun was good, it was actually runny and not too salty. The pineapple was a nice touch, we just weren't a big fan of the red bellpeppers.

Japanese style beef cubes with fried silken tofu was really good, the sauce is slightly sweet and savory and not too salty. We really liked this one.

All 3 dishes were in the low $20s, and more than enough for 3 people. We had leftovers to go.

There is free dessert! Choice is mango pudding or grass jelly.“
