“Nice, located of Willow shopping center. Several eateries nearby including a drive in Starbucks. I looked around and decided to go for the Won Thai restaurant, ordered the lunch special, fried catfish with rice, on the plate I got a colorful plate with a scoop of steam rice next to pan fried filet of catfish with plenty of green beans, fresh tomato pieces, sautéed on a lite curry sauce and sliced purple and green cabbage garnish.“

“I had heard great things about Fava and their ex Chez Panisse chefs. I got to try it for the first time. It was even better than I thought it would be. I got the lamb sandwich (with cabbage, yogurt sauce, and fresh herbs like Persian sabzi, in a lavash like wrap that they make themselves.) I also got some lentil and kale soup with yogurt. So yummy. It took me back home to Iran. So good!“

“I eat lunch here regularly and find the service to be consistently friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and tasty— I usually have one of their generous banh mi sandwiches. The atmosphere is warm and the other customers seem happy to be there. And it’s a great vantage point for watching the Solano Avenue street scene.“

“I spent about $45…for a whole bunch of yummy stuff! It’s amazing to be able to go straight to the bakery, and also kind of dangerous. You can see some of the menu on the window outside as you wait in line (there will almost always be a line), and you can peek in and see the day’s selection of breads and pastries. Only two parties at a time fit inside to order. There’s a small parking lot in front and more parking behind. I highly recommend the seasonal focaccia pizzas! An pain epi, just yum.“

“I bought a lemon cake for a dinner party and it was a hit, with everyone going for a second piece. The person who served me was very friendly and helpful. There's no shortage of bakeries in the East Bay but I can't see a reason to go somewhere else for a cake.“

“Best espresso of any of the highwire locations I have been too. It is a darker roast than I like, but they have a great recipe so it doesn't get sour or bitter. My only complaint, not enough seats, then again it is in a plant store, not a standalone shop, which leads to some amusing scenarios with entitled people like the scene I saw. So don't wonder far from the stand even if there is a line.

An upper middle class woman took a drink, sipped from it AND THEN ASKED "is this the oat latte for Sarah?" They called out the name of the drink and the person who it was for, CAPPUCCINO FOR JOYCE. Who takes a sip from a drink and then ask if it is yours. They did not apologize, making excuses, and saying oops is not an apology. This after having taken a sip from it. I would have charged her for it if I worked in that stand.
But the baristas there are super nice and friendly, even answering my questions about their espresso ratio etc. would“

“Just picked up my chicken soup this afternoon,my granddaughter wanted to go to the park,I ordered it over the phone and they said 10 minutes but we stayed at the park for. 45 minutes the soup and croissant was still hot not warm but hot my granddaughter loved the bread man lol“

“This is a nice family-owned shop. The pizza was made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and the dough was crispy and perfectly golden. If you have any special requests with your pizza, they will be happy to accommodate you. They are super friendly if you want a good chat. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Recommended.“

“This is a beautiful store outside and inside. After stalking this restaurant on Instagram and after I missed pop-up events for Oktoberfest, I finally bought some pretzels. Yummy! It was well worth the wait. I scored some of the weekly specials, the pesto and mozzarella pretzel. I also bought the jalapeño and cheddar. I will never buy one of those pretzels off the street carts ever again. I used to buy Auntie Annie’s soft pretzels at the mall, but never again. I am officially a pretzel snob now. I am making plans to go back to Squabisch for the pretzel sandwiches. The fresh quality ingredients are evident in every bite.“

“Small shop with warm food and an open fridge section of sushi. There was also a wall of snacks. Prices are very reasonable. No verbal communication which I think is fine but the woman dropped my packed sushi upside down and then tossed it into a bag. Sushi rice was a bit too hard for my liking.“

“Ordered 3 or their largest pizza's (pepperoni and two cheese) for my son's 2nd grade class and they did not disappoint! Not only did they deliver the pizza to the school, it arrived hot and fresh. The ingredients were fresh and their red sauce was delicious. Each child was able to enjoy multiple slices. Thank you for making our classroom celebration a memorable one.“

“I had Salmon over rice Togo. When I pick up my food, I opened it but I didn’t see any vegetables in that. I asked him and he said that I should order the meal if I would like to get small salad too. Just wish they would return some of the savory baked goods from the past like mustard laced cheese sticks and cheese scones.“

“We have been going to Dianna's for years. We moved to the area back in 2014, and found out in 2017 that my husband was celiac.

Dianna makes all her cakes, cookies, breads and pastries with loving care, and makes many items gluten free, which is such a treat for my husband.

Her sandwiches and coffee are good too, and she usually has homemade GF bread in reserve to make a quick GF sandwich for those requiring it.

Like any "local store", product availability varies. Some days my husband can get GF Banana Bread or Carrot Cake. Other times, those aren't available but GF Zucchini Bread and Red velvet cake are. It's actually a nice surprise.

I suspect Dianna's was hit hard by Covid, and I know she's mostly a one-man show now, which must be a lot of work. But she does a good job of cranking out the goodies and serving them up well.

If you're in the area, especially if you are celiac, I highly recommend giving Dianna's a try for lunch or coffee/tea and baked goods!“

Valerios has been in Vallejo for years and the number one bakery for Filipino pastries. Located at the Seafood city plaza in Vallejo, there’s a card minimum for purchase and Tuesdays is 10% off for seniors. They also take Apple Pay!“

“Amazing pastries. Been coming here for decades. Quiche, chicken pocket pies and blueberry Danish are some of my favorites. But my #1 favorite is cheese sticks. Twisted sticks of puff pastry layered with cheese, cayenne and mustard I believe. Discontinued a few years ago but reintroduced recently. Initial samples were without cayenne or mustard but most recent sample had some mustard I'm sure and was much like the originals I remember. Keep it up and I'll be back for more. I remember fondly cornmeal scones with cheese and bacon too. I like the quiche and the ranch scramble for brunch.“

“They expanded thier restaurant and offer night entertainment by way of open mic karaoke etc(mainly Mexican and El Salvadorian music) and possibly dancing not sure but usually when music is playing, alcohol is flowing and good food is served then A GOOD TIME is usually present.“
