“This Popeyes is in LA, so before you get your hopes up know that the “spicy” chicken that you get down south in GA or Louisiana…this ain’t it! So if you like mild, you’ll be fine but the spicy lovers will be disappointed. Los Angeles people sometimes can be lazy so the drive-thru not gonna be the best experience. I do like Popeyes but now I just kinda stick to the shrimp basket and the chicken tenders since it doesn’t really hit the spot like Texas Popeyes or even NC Popeyes…“

The filet was cooked perfectly and went well with the potato roll. I would definitely eat there again if I lived in the area.“

“I went to finally try this spot on a Thursday for $2 tenders. Ordered 2 cool (less than mild), 2 glow (mild), and 2 spark (medium). They all came out looking the same and once I tried it all, there wasn't much of a difference in spice level. I could've tried the next tier after Spark --- I think .The batter was great - loved the crunch and crispyness of it.I thought they would've been stingy about the $2 tenders but the size of the tenders were a good size.Staff was nice and efficient for a busy Thursday lunchtime. There's outdoor seating if you can't find a spot inside.“

“This new spot on 8th Street is exactly what we needed. In Downtown, it's difficult to find a spot with fresh food that's delicious and quick. Because this spot is new, there is a bit of a wait for the food but not more than you would expect for food that is being prepared for you on the spot. Everything tastes fresh, not frozen. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. We had a lunch catered for the office. Everyone was pleased and that's sometimes difficult to do when you have 10 people with differing tastes. This means there's one more place where I can grab lunch that's not fried food. My favorite side is their broccoli! I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.“

“Provender: how's the chicken? Crispy and moist. I recommend getting your chicken sandwiches or wings from this joint. The wings are a decent size also. Prices: 10 wings will run you about $20. Seems pricey, but once you see and taste them, they'll seem worth it. Parking: they have a shared lot, and it's best to enter on Sherman Way. People: fun for all. Perks: they also offer hot dogs in addition to their sandwiches, strips, and wings. They have a wide variety of sauces, so you can order the original wings and get the sauce you enjoy best.“

They use a Rice flour which I think is key to their amazing chicken. Around $17.00 for a small order which is 9 wings both flats and drums.Parking:They have a free 2 hour parking lot which we were lucky enough to find a spot at. I could see parking being an issue if you dont get a spot in this lot for sure.Service:The absolute nicest staff. The owners were so gracious and warm and welcoming. This is how a meal out should be, they appreciate that you are there and we had NOTHING but praise for the entire experience.The fact this place isn't on EVERYONE'S MUST EAT list is shocking to me. “The food was amazing! It was our first time and we loved it. The service needs a lot of work. There was a line but it moved fast and we were quick to place our order. It took 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering. Everyone else was receiving their food after a reasonable wait time except me and the couple that ordered right after us. I had to ask at the 30 min mark and then finally received it at 40 min. We ordered to eat in but received it all in a take out bag. We ordered a #1 (received a #1 but charged a #2 on the receipt) a #3 ( but only received 1 slider, tender was missing) and a #4 (but received and extra slider). We made it work since we got the total # of chickens that we asked for and could not wait any longer for them to correct it. The dining room is a mess! We were there for well over an hour and not once did anyone come out to wipe down tables as diners were leaving. Everyone that came in had to sit at a dirty table if they wanted to dine in. An employee, in uniform, was eating at the far back right corner table during dinner rush ( Friday night 5:30). When the employee finished they also did not wipe down the table and left it dirty for the next diner. The overall service is unimpressive for a location that just recently opened (Cicero, NY). We will go back because the food was fabulous but we will not be dining in and will definitely check our order before leaving.“

“Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice.Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.“

“This spot is my new go-to for chicken sliders and fries. Try Steve's fries (comes in mild, medium or hot). Very bomb food and the seating area is outdoors so especially with COVID going on, it felt very safe to eat at. Employees were great about cleaning the tables as soon as customers got up. “Comparing this one to the one on Pico/Crenshaw, parking is much much easier and closer to the freeway. The chicken indeed seemed a ted less spicy hot but all the favors are there. (Went to Crenshaw 2 days later and clearly able to compare) As usual, ordered the biggest 20 piece dinning in and it was hot and juicy, especially the breast. Busy on the chicken left the fries cold but still nothing left to take home. The chicken was fresh from the frier as one was bubbling on the table. Teared up one of the breast and juice immediately drip onto the plate. I wore eating clothes every time I go to GUS to refrain from having ruined clothes to regret later. They gave me forks every time but I had never used them. Go wash hands and get dirty!“

“I always been coming here these people are awesome, they mostly have your food ready and everything prepared on time, I'm writing a review for this specific time I went. I ordered a combo and they gave me alot of extra food, they hooked it up I guess just because. So I asked for Mac and cheese in replacement of the fries but they gave both, so it seems like that was just a free addition. And they gave me an extra tender too, alot of free extra food, I love that, thats how you get customers to be loyal and come back, I guess they just did it for the good or generosity, I'm not sure the reason why they gave extra food, but I'm guessing just cause they felt nice and like doing a good thing which is awesome i love that, thank you guys I really appreciate it“

“The staff here are very nice and pleasant, the foo i got was cooked properly and tasted phenomenal. I got the chicken with two sides and a good sized piece of corn bread. My chosen sides were the red beans n rice and mac n cheese. Everything was delicious and had great flavor on top of being cooked to perfection. The combo of seasonings they use on the chicken gives it a very delicious and memorable flavor. I highly recommend checking this place out.“

“I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before...but it is one of my favorite fried chicken places in LA. The fried chicken is absolutely in my top 5. The chicken is the star here--forget about everything else except maybe the gizzards--the chicken is why you come to Dinah's. Having said that prices have really increased here like a lot of other places these days. In four short years, the two piece lunch has gone from $7.65 to $13.60. I don't know about you but that seems a lot higher than the current inflation rate. Not picking on Dinah's, but just making a point.“

“Just happened to stop by Wildbird and was very impressed. The free-range chicken was hot and crispy and tasted great. We had the full chicken meal and while it was a bit expensive, it was good. We had the beans and the I would highly recommend getting the sweet potatoes. If you do a Google review you get free salsa and chips. The chip seasoning was good. If not, you can just park in the streets, there are no meters so you never have to pay.“

The place is very clean and what impacted me the most was that they served us on real plates. They didn't put food in a plastic basket with a sheet of wax paper or in a cardboard box.I looked up the reviews of all the Pollo Campero restaurants in the area, and this one has the highest rating and honestly, I think it deserves a higher rating than what they show on yelp. “I ordered takeout from them, I thought the chicken tenders were really good.The fries were mostly soggy, but my major complaint is their Texas toast. It is only a side item, but this is most certainly not Texas toast. Texas toast is supposed to be not only toasted, but buttered on both sides with garlic and herbs. It was literally just a piece of bread that definitely wasn’t toasted. Don’t list something on your menu as Texas toast when it’s really just a piece of bread. Part of me wants to give them lower than four stars so they definitely see this and fix the mistake, or maybe last night was just an anomaly and they do actually sell Texas toast the way it’s supposed to be made. Either way, all I got was a thick piece of bread that wasn’t toasted and had zero butter on it.“

“I looked up Macho Burger it's still under the Chic BB. Stopped by yesterday.one of my ex-coworker is here now. They still have chicken sandos . Prices are reasonable $10 The truffle burger is the top of price line. I got the black pepper cheese burger. It was large,sloppy but quite tasty. I could of easily eaten 1/2 and be ok. This kind of burger doesn't re heat well. That motivated me to finish the macho burger it clashed with my Del estrogen hormone shots. The bun didn't hold up....the fries are very good. They fry well here. They were out of chicken cartilage.... A very Asian item...“

“How do I put this, the owner is the heart of this place. He is kind, funny sweet and friendly and it shows in his food. He seems to really care about his place people and food. I sat there a couple times and just smiled and enjoyed my food. I really like this place.“

I normally go to the Pico Union one but this one has easier parking and more seating. They also have more selection but I've never gotten anything but the chicken.
