“Wow. I just put my fork in to pull some chicken meat off and it was so tender the bone popped right out (even though it wasn’t my intent) and came off 100% clean. Unreal.. reminds me of the food back home. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu including the fried eggplant vegan sandwich. We got the lemon chicken, falafel, and fried cauliflower, which is more like a cauliflower steak than florets. Delicious but just an fyi.“

“the chicken slaps! got the 3 tender combo, and these are by far some of the biggest tenders i’ve ever had (def should’ve got the 2 count). I ordered them with the “spark” seasoning and imo hits the perfect spicy but not too hot level. also ordered the cheese curds which were great as well! plenty of parking which is rarity in LA. 9/10 experience!“

“I am 65 years old. We had dinner at Humble Bird Saturday night. I have never, repeat, NEVER had chicken this good. Crisp, juicy (but not dripping like other places), no grease in sight. We got mild, but used the hot honey supplied and what a combination of flavors. We also got potato salad and slaw. Both great additions to an already wonderful meal. The staff was really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The place was spotless. I live north of Seattle, but would consider driving down just for more of their chicken...Well, and to visit my kids.“

“So, it was my first time ordering from wild bird. I did not know what to expect. All i know is that i was starving and in the mood for some really good food. so I went to this location. I order my food and a cucumber drink. My order was ready fast. But instead of the cucumber drink, i wanted to try their water melon. So i asked an employee there if i could switch and guess what…. he actually switched it for me with no issues at all. His name was Joe. I don’t know if he will see this, but i still have to say Thanks Joe! you really made my day. Now because of the good food … and the watermelon drink being on point, plus the excellent customer service. I will definitely be coming back here! “Had the Reaper and Extra Hot — definitely not a joke 😂 The heat is intense and the spice really lingers in your mouth for a while. It’s actually a fun challenge if you love spicy food. The chicken was juicy and flavorful even with all the heat. Secret tip: dip it in the honey — it balances the spice perfectly. Would absolutely try it again!“

“We stopped in to find something affordable for the family after a day at Universal Studios. We looked online and saw Blazing Hot Chicken had decent reviews and wasn't far from our destination and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed and Martin the manager took care of us. The kids had the chicken tenders and we had a Mild and Hot chicken sandwich. Martin also let us try to Blazing Hot 🔥 which lit up my mouth and taste buds 🥵. Don't try that if you're not up for a challenge. It had me on fire for a quick minute and I was glad that I didn't get that as my sandwich because my body would have hated me. Flavors were good all around and pleased with the amount of food that we got.

Update: tried the ‘Reaper’. Almost burned a hole in my stomach. This doesn’t feel like a real spice. I think it’s just some potent Capsaicin mixed it. I’m sticking to ‘Extra Hot’.“

“My friends and I came down to LA from the bay area and we stopped by for lunch. The man at the counter was really chill and hospitable and gave us recommendations on the menu. I got the chicken tenders with mac. The mac and cheese was so good, super cheesy. The tenders were super crunchy and seasoned well. My friend really liked the chipotle ranch. Portions were huge, especially the loaded mac buffalo chicken bowl. Would come again!“

“Came for the codfish Sando which is available in limited quantity daily. Staff are really friendly and will help you along with your order should you need any help with your order. The fish burger is really good and the tartare sauce they put on it is amazing. Can also order a side of the daybird sauce that they have and it has a really good umami flavor that goes very well with the fries. Would be back again to try the chicken Sando too.“

“I loved it!! Everything.. I work a block away and need something that's affordable, that's abundant and actually yummy / decent quality and better pound wings did it. They delivered to me for free, the shrimp garlic spaghetti was delicious, abundant and good quality.. it was my first time and am excited to have found a spot I can go to daily if I wanted too .. drinks could be bigger for the prices but other than that I am in love 💕“

The only thing I dont like is the Lady the urinated in the place and sits outside every single day asking for money. The fish its a bit of a wait but I prefer to wait to have fresh cooked fished. “I decided to give this place a try after having heard a lot of great things about it. Usually when I want good fried chicken i end up going to Gus's but i figured it was time to try some place new for a change. I ordered take out and the food came out the way I expected it. The chicken had a similar batter as Gus's does just minus the spiciness. It was good but it lacking on flavor in my opinion. Salty but no spice. Sure they gave me hot sauce cups for the chicken to help out but i prefer how they do it at Gus's instead. The mashed potatoes i got were good though, I enjoyed the flavor and the good kick the gravy got too. The fries were okay. I believe they are regular 3/8 of an inch straight cut fries with their own seasoning. So think crinkle cut thickness but straight instead. The biscuits were good though too. Nothing crazy about it but it was more bready than flaky if that makes sense. Something different but it was good. All in all my visit here to Honey's was alright, food was good but it wasn't enough to change my mind about Gus's and I still prefer to go there instead. But I think this place is still worth a try for those who were iffy like I was. It didn't know my socks off but it was still good nonetheless. I might have to come back and try the chicken sandwich or something else on the menu next time.“
