“This meal was the highlight of our LA trip! I don’t know what kind of sorcery is afoot here but this little spot manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. Loved how short and sweet the menu was, the chef has incredible restraint and a crystal clear vision. Every single thing we had was incredible, the best hk french toast and bolo bao I have ever had, and omg the scallion roll and dumplings. I don’t know what it is about this place but I’m still thinking about that meal days later. Also, the dining room made me feel like I was in a tvb serial from the early 90s which is the highest compliment.“

“Had lunch at Jade Wok near Chinatown and honestly, it hit the spot. The standout for me was definitely the sweet and savory spareribs. They’re sticky, flavorful, and perfectly tender with just a bit of chew. Exactly how you want Chinese-style spareribs to be. The glaze is rich and garlicky with a nice hint of sweetness, and the green onions and sesame seeds on top gave it a nice little pop.

We also got the stir-fried greens, which were super simple but fresh and cooked just right. A little crunch, a little tenderness + great as a balance to the heavier dishes.

And the braised tofu with minced pork came in a deep, savory sauce that soaked into the tofu beautifully. The tofu was fried just enough to give it some texture on the outside while staying soft inside. Super comforting.

It’s not a fancy spot, but the food comes out hot, portions are generous, and everything tastes like it was cooked with care. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want that classic Chinese comfort food vibe.“

“A great little gem. We stopped in for dinner - not especially hungry due to late lunch but knew we needed to eat something. We split the cucumber salad - so fresh and tasty, a little sweet, a little salty. It’s sold as a small appetizer but, easily splittable. Then pork potstickers and veggie pancakes - eight of each, so plenty to share and also very tasty. Definitely would go back. Friendly attentive service to round out a great find.“

The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. “What incredible service from Zander. On New Year’s Day with the restaurant completely packed he made some magic happen and got me and my girlfriend a table for our anniversary. It doesn’t stop there! The service through out the whole dinner was incredible with recommendations and check ins. The ambiance as well was awesome with modern vibes and music going. We had the xiao long bao, chicken fried rice, and three cup chicken and oh my god was it incredible.“

“This restaurant is very affordable, every dish looks big and is packed with great flavors.

If you come to this place with a group, there is a mandatory tip so don't get surprised by that (it will be included in your check).

I got various items from the menu, some of the highlights were the garlic and shrimp fried rice and the Chinese sausage fried rice.

The service was great and included tea. My party kept drinking hot tea and the waitress was always on top of it and refilling it. Even when we finished our meal and we were just chatting amongst each other, the waitress still offered tea, it was a very nice gesture and made us feel welcome to stay more.

Pending on how much you eat, I recommend getting the number of plates = the number of people in your party. If you cannot finish everything, they offer boxes to take out the rest of your food. I recommend dining in, it is clean and spacious.

The only bad thing is that some members of my party went to the bathroom and it was not clean, one of them even said that it ruins part of the experience. For the owner: Please clean the restroom, it would have been a perfect experience.“

“A well-known Chinese restaurant with a good size menu. They also have a small Dim Sum selection. The restaurant is clean, the service is good and plenty of off-street parking. The food is well prepared and tasty. We had the pork fried rice and the orange chicken.

Parking: Approximately 20 spots of free off-street parking. Pull into the driveway and park behind the restaurant and you can enter the restaurant from the back door or the front door.“

“The food is great and the atmosphere is very easy. I've had their bowls and try to eat here when I come to the court for other things, but their times are advertised incorrectly on google. I was at the court all day and thought I had time to eat dinner until 9 because that's when google said they closed today saturday. “TL;DR BBQ Pork Buns are 5 stars. Every other dish I've had is 3 stars.

I've had 4 dishes from here: Chop Suey, Kung Pao Chicken, Snow Peas and Water Chestnut, and BBQ Pork Buns (Dim Sum)

To be honest, I can only recommend the BBQ Pork Buns, but I recommend it highly. It is the best dim sum pork bun you are going to get in Glendale. The filling has a lot of flavor and isn't too dry, and the bun is very soft and fluffy.

The other dishes were okay. I don't expect them to be authentic, but across the board, they generally just lack flavor, which puts them below other Chinese restaurants in Glendale for me.

It is really great that they have a couple dishes with water chestnut though. So for this fact, and the quality of the BBQ Pork Buns alone, I'm giving them 4 stars.

“I like this place. Extremely good prices and value. Huge quantities. I mostly just get the orange chicken, white rice, and sometimes get some other appetizers. They also give you tea and some other appetizers for free at the beginning. For the price, how good the food is, and how big the quantities are I would definitely recommend it. “Jajanmyun is really good, tons of smoky onions. But the serving size is smaller than what I'm use to getting from these types of shops.

Tangsuyuk is cooked well and not overly dry. Sauce is good too, but doesn't have alot of wood ear mushrooms in it.
