“I would say it’s one of the best diners in the valley. I drove up from West LA specifically for breakfast today and was really impressed for my first time visit. It’s your true retro LA style diner complimented with friendly service and delicious food. Our server was honestly fantastic and all of our items arrived quickly after ordering them. I also love the design on the inside, it’s the retro 50’s era old diner that you would expect full of booths and counter seating. They have a free parking lot attached otherwise street parking is easy to find as well.

We started off with the homemade Coffee Cake and it was terrific. Coffee Cake is one of my favorite desserts and honestly this was one of the better ones that I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it. For my meal, I had a glass of their orange juice because they make it in-house and have a giant machine right behind the counter so I had to try it and it was delicious as expected. For my meal, I chose the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict and thought it was great. The hollandaise sauce was homemade and not the canned type and the pork was crispy, but also flavorful. The hashbrowns on the side were also done exactly as I like them. Overall, it was a fantastic meal.

I would highly recommend to anyone searching for a great diner, breakfast, or lunch option. I plan to be back soon and I’m eager to try more items.

“Solid diner food! Everything you could want from a diner. Got the westside special with 2 eggs, 2 hotcakes, and sausage. Its extremely affordable, but cash only! The parking lot is small, and we saw a pickup truck hit a couple cars while going by around… so park at your own risk

“Easily one of the best diners in Eagle Rock. That is saying something because there are over five well-known ones that I can think of and I’m sure there are a few more that I can’t. Every time I stop in it’s always very busy, but the wait is never that long. We were able to be seated immediately when we arrived for our 10 AM Sunday brunch. They have a lot of seating indoors as well as out, but I always prefer to sit inside to really soak up the diner atmosphere. This is an Asian-influenced diner that has a lot of Asian flavors on the menu as well as a mostly Asian staff. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot, but parking is very easy to find in this part of town. Our server was very polite and everything we ordered came out extremely fast.

I wanted to mix up my usual order so for my last visit so I chose the Hamburger Steak and Eggs. It’s basically a large hamburger patty but cooked just like a steak and honestly, it was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the side of hashbrowns was as good as I hoped. The portion sizes are large and the prices are fair so it really is a great breakfast or lunch option. I would recommend to any diner fan or anyone searching for a great breakfast option in Eagle Rock.

“Nice diner. Been around forever. It is diner food, so don't expect gourmet. Good food for the price.

I had the Field Chicken. The sautéed mushroom topping was very tasty. The chicken was pretty good quality. Not excellent, but I don't expect excellent in a diner. The green beans were not that tasty and were probably cooked a few hours earlier. The mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good.

A friend had the Broasted Chicken. I tasted it and really liked it. The chicken was super tender and juicy. The breading was a little greasy, but not nearly as greasy as a lot of places.

The staff was very attentive and nice. Definitely no complaints there.

Parking lot in the back. Lots of parking and easy in and out.

“S&W is a classic American breakfast/lunch cafe in the heart of Culver City right near the Kirk Douglas theatre. The location can't be beat but parking can be an issue(not in my case though as I used the excellent Culver City bus).

The menu has the classics and I liked I could build my own 3 egg omelette stuffing it with jack cheese, onions, corn beef, ground beef, bell peppers. It also came with sourdough bread and hash browns(other options available like pancakes. I spent $20 total but the value is above average it was alot of food.

Note: I really like that they ONLY take cash because it contrasts to the trend I really dislike of places not taking cash.

Favorite is Blue Chip Combo meal. Love the crew here. Always accommodating and patient with us. Makes our day happy and food is consistent. Burgers and breakfast delicious too.

Parking: Always busy but never disappointed with our food. Best to call in your orders ahead so they are ready by the time you get to intercom. Just tell them your name and your picking up your orders. Love the fried Zucchini and fries too.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they have handicap parking in back with entrance too and ramp in front.“

“Well known as the diner where Reservoir Dogs was filmed this place has been on my list to try for quite some time. I stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was very impressed. I love a great diner so have been wanting to stop here for a long time and can confirm the food and the service is worth the visit. The food quality is honestly great and I would go here for the biscuits alone. They are some of the largest, most fluffy, and delicious biscuits I’ve ever had in LA. They have a large parking lot with free parking and service was very fast and friendly. It is slightly pricier than some other diners, but not by much and still worth the cost.

For my first time I ordered my favorite breakfast dish which is Eggs Benedict, and thought it was great. The hollandaise was homemade, the eggs were perfectly runny, and it just had some great flavors. As mentioned, I ordered a side Biscuit with gravy and the thing was absolutely huge. Not only was it giant, but it was also very fluffy and delicious and honestly was probably the best biscuit I have had this entire year.

P&L’s is a fantastic retro diner and a part of LA history. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast or lunch option, or any diner fan.

“The food is delicious and the prices are more than reasonable. Get the chef's salad! My only complaint is that we're are here before going to a party, so we were dressed up. We were sitting next to the bussing station and the person bussing tables kinda carelessly stacked and jostled the bin containing dirty dishes, causing a full cup of coke to fall out and all over me and my new party dress. He Was apologetic, and brought me a towel, but I felt like the whole ordeal could've been avoided by being a little more mindful and careful.“

“First time I visited this Denny's, the truth is that it bothered me that the people who are writing down the people to give them the table had a list, then they crossed them all off and made another list and they deleted me and they never called me, some families arrived after my and they passed.
