And the manager Jeff sources local foods. The ahi appetizer in cones was a recommendation from Jeff and did not disappoint. Our Schnitzel was fabulous and so was the elk pot pie. It was quiet at the time we happened to be there so we got to chat a bit. We learned that the owner’s daughter is the pastry chef so we had to try the cheesecake. Also delicious. It was just a great dining experience.“

“If you're not coming to Tahoe Taphouse for Kevin, you're missing half the experience. The guy is genuinely one of the funniest people behind a bar — always has a joke ready, always lands it, and somehow makes you feel like a regular from the first visit. He's as kind as he is hilarious, which is saying a lot.

But the Taphouse earns its keep beyond great company. Cold, delicious beer on tap, solid food, and the perfect spot to catch a game. We keep coming back and it never disappoints.

On the food side - don't sleep on the Mary's Chicken. Mary's is an incredible brand, and Tahoe Taphouse does it justice. The chicken wings especially are fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, the kind of wings you think about on the drive home.

Honestly, it's the full package: great beer, great food, games on the TV, and Kevin holding it all together. See you there.“

“Last week the sun was shining all week, we decided to go skiing in Lake Tahoe since my daughter is in town. After a beautiful day skiing, we found this restaurant close to our townhouse so we had dinner here.
This place is in kinda downtown Lake Tahoe City, small parking lot, but we had parking in front due to weekday.
The restaurant is clean and the server is extremely pleasant and attentive. The menu has many of dishes that we can all enjoy. The prices are so reasonable for Tahoe.
We tried the Ahi Tower and it was so delicious, this is a must have since we finished it in a heart beat, the tuna is moist and marinated just right, we wished there're more chips with it.
My son ordered the crawfish mac'n cheese and both of my kids liked them.
I wanted to try the blacken chicken with side order of onion rings instead of fries and it's excellent, my son had half of mine.
My wife Salmon BLTA was amazingly tasty and the kids tried it and liked it too.
My daughter always liked the Cheese steak and the midtown did the trick, melted cheese steak with bread.
It's nice to try new places and we're glad we found this place. The service is great, the big portion dishes are excellent and the prices don't break the bank, what else can you ask for at a restaurant? We all voted for 5 stars.“
