“Best eggs benedict I've ever had. It's on a croissant instead of the classic dry English muffin. Homemade hollandaise sauce. Came with both perfectly crispy and seasoned potatoes and with a nice greens salad with a good vinaigrette. We beat the line but it was still a little backed up. Absolutely worth a wait. Shout out to Leon, Dove, Marques, and Manuel for working hard and being so polite during the rush.

Edit to add my husband's gingerbread apple French toast something or other was also to die for. Like, dang. Perfect balance of sweet and salty. Perfectly cooked. Could taste butter. Just phenomenal.“

“the mochi shop is located inside one of the stores in a small strip mall area. maybe unassuming from the outside, but the display of the variety of mochi that this shop offers shines through the display case. there was less variety when I came in during mid afternoon time. while I am one who loves the red and white bean paste mochi offerings, the store also offers a good variety of flavored, fruity, and even cheesecake mochi. the lady helping me out told me that most of the mochi options are vegan except for the butter mochi, cheesecake mochi, and milky mochis. I love that she got excited about me asking about whether the red bean pace was tsubuan (chunky) or koshian (smooth). for reference, it seems that the red bean paste mochis use chunky paste, while the white bean paste mochis are smooth paste. my friend and I and my partner loved the mochi we ate. I used to frequent by Osaka-ya in Sacramento for mochi before moving to San Diego, so I’m very happy that this store is here. I'll definitely come back here for more!

The staff is incredibly friendly (English and Spanish speaking) and takes the time to find you your perfect cake. I ordered the carrot cake and choco crema/pinguino cakes for my wedding-- all the guests raved about how good they were! It is great that some flavors are offered in 1/4 or 1/2 sheets. “I have been coming to this location for more than 5 years and the service is always top notch. I moved out of state and came back to visit and took my sister here.

The staff are amazing and helpful. My sister is diagnosed with an IDD and the staff treat her so amazingly. Stephanie was our server this time and she went above and beyond with us. It is always an inclusive experience dining at this location.“

“Loved it! Went earlier today and I ordered an iced latte and 6 pack of filled malasadas. My coffee was great, far better than other coffee shops I’ve tried in National City, and was made surprisingly quick. The malasadas were warm and fresh, but some of the fillings were a little too artificial to my liking. Service was also great, the young girl at the front definitely gave off that Aloha vibe, and guided me through the menu as I was a little confused at first. Got my malasadas within 15 minutes, would recommend.“

“Amaya was so easy to work with from before placing an order to post-delivery for our baby shower. On our initial call, she listened carefully to my requests and how I envisioned our dessert table to look like. She was always available via text messages or phone calls for any questions. Her prices were also reasonable. On the day of the delivery, my friend who was handling my event set up said Amaya was very sweet and came on time to deliver the desserts. She even left us a sweet thoughtful card congratulating us on our baby shower. As for the desserts, they were to die for!! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and my husband is all about desserts. So between the two of us, we can be picky. From the cookies to the fruit cups to the cupcakes, everything was delicious. Special shoutout to the fruit cups, they were so good (highly recommend them)!! Our guests loved the desserts and asked where we got them from. So yummy!Their tamales are bomb, too. They don't skimp on the filling, which is what a lot of places do, unfortunately. But not here, they pack the tamales full of meat or cheese - whatever flavor you're getting, you'll be sure to get your money's worth.
