The shop is small so there is only one bench inside to sit and eat. The woman who helped us was very patient and nice. Definitely worth a visit if you like mochi.“

“Amaya was so easy to work with from before placing an order to post-delivery for our baby shower. On our initial call, she listened carefully to my requests and how I envisioned our dessert table to look like. She was always available via text messages or phone calls for any questions. Her prices were also reasonable. On the day of the delivery, my friend who was handling my event set up said Amaya was very sweet and came on time to deliver the desserts. She even left us a sweet thoughtful card congratulating us on our baby shower. As for the desserts, they were to die for!! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and my husband is all about desserts. So between the two of us, we can be picky. From the cookies to the fruit cups to the cupcakes, everything was delicious. Special shoutout to the fruit cups, they were so good (highly recommend them)!! Our guests loved the desserts and asked where we got them from. “Great little breakfast spot that opens as early as 5am! Was perfect to grab some breakfast to go early in the morning. Super solid breakfast sandwiches, I got a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. They have a good selection of muffins and donuts as well. Super friendly and quick service, plus they threw in a few donut holes in the bag with our muffins.“

“The bread here is amazing! I arrived in the morning around 830am and the smell is intoxicating in the best way. I ordered the regular pan de sal as well as the ube and cheese pan de sal. It's the best pan de sal I have ever had! It melts in your mouth and has the ideal pillowy texture you want. The ube variety has the cheese inside and it is perfect! You can't eat just 1. The customer service was great and the shop overall is well mantained. I am already planning my next trip back. It's a must try bakery.

The staff is incredibly friendly (English and Spanish speaking) and takes the time to find you your perfect cake. “Really cool and unique coffee! I went in and just asked the barista to give me two coffees he recommended and it did not disappoint! We got the black nitro cold brew and the honey lavender and both were delicious! Also got a donut and it was also great. The barista was so friendly! “I flew in from Dallas, TX, to visit a friend who lives in the area. We bought pancit and lechon. The pancit was really, really good and the lechon was cooked to perfection. Great location with ample parking. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely stop by the next time I'm in town.“

“I can't believe I've driven past this place numerous times without realizing it was there! A friend of mine stopped by and brought Spanish bread, which was the best I've ever tasted, hands down! She mentioned that everything at this bakery is good, so I decided to visit for the first time, and it did not disappoint.

It's located in a strip mall, and the shop itself is quite small with limited items on the shelves. This is actually a good sign, as it indicates that they sell out quickly and make everything fresh daily, unlike another bakery I used to frequent where items would sit for days.

During my visit, I ordered siomai, cheese balls, pandesal, ube bread, pork asado siopao, guinataan, and pancit, and everything was excellent! The baked items, except for the guinataan and pancit, were all bite-sized, which I love. The cheese balls had just the right amount of cream cheese—not too much and not too little. They were my favorite!

As for the pancit, it contained liver, which I enjoy, so it was perfect for me and tasted delicious. It wasn’t greasy at all. However, a family member of mine doesn't like liver, so I’m wondering if Salie can make the pancit without liver for those who aren’t fans. I’ll have to ask.

All I can say is that everything I bought here was fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back again and again. Plus, the lady at the register was so sweet!“

“No la recomendaria, esto me paso el 6 de enero, compre una rosca chica y no traia el bebito. Hable por telefono y la persona que me contesto muy mal modienta y todavia me dijo en forma de broma que tal vez ya nos lo habiamos comido y que si queria regresarla tenia que estar completa la rosca .....pos como, si le estaba diciendo que no traia el bebito ovio que tenia que partirla verdad. Al final me dijo que habia un letrero en registro que si a la rosca no le tocaba el bebito que se podia pedir en la panaderia... y que si lo queria tenia que ir a recogerlo... yo no vivo cercas pase por que crei que era una panaderia buena. “Pan del barrio is my fave bread in San Diego! All naturally leavened so it is better for you too! The country loaf is always freshly baked and still warm when I get it. Amanda is so kind and sweet and makes every effort to make her customers happy! Every time I’m in San Diego I get some delish baked goods. And don’t get get me started on her chocolate croissant, the BEST! I’ve also had the bolillos and they are very good. My mom also loved them!
