“I liked Harland so that’s why I’m giving a 4 star. This place deserves a 3 star based off the service, location/parking, and the ability to get proper seating. This location definitely does a disservice to the Brand… but I know they can profit off these trendy hipsters lol. Anyways, I’d avoid coming here unless you want a tough time finding parking and finding a seat. Bear of the month is always clutch.“

“We stopped in for a drink before getting on the train. I wish we had more time, because this place is great! I love the easy access to trying new drinks, and the menu looks excellent. Everyone in the staff was very kind and helpful. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.“

“Friends of Friends and Wavy Burgers - This is my favorite coffee shop in National city. It’s artistic, unique, and fun. I always find something new and delicious, and that’s selling it short. I’d take friends or family from out of town here, and I have. Definitely a highlight of National city and the owners should be very proud.
Only vice is sometimes the music is a touch too loud or vile with expletives over and over again… no thanks. Those days I just grab my food and dip. That’s a knock on an atmosphere star.
I will keep coming here! I’m a big fan of their orange Thai tea latte :)“

“My friend and I had a great time at dinner here on a Monday night. Everyone on the staff, especially our server Charlie, was very friendly. Service was speedy and the food was delicious. Also, on the practical side, I enjoy places with accessible parking. There’s a structure behind the restaurant with usually plenty of parking.“

“Came here to meet a group of friends to watch the Iran vs Egypt soccer game and Padres vs Dodgers game. The upstairs was closed, but the downstairs was packed with people both inside and outside.
The bartender was great. The beer selection was solid, and I really enjoyed their hazy IPAs.
We also tried their bbq pizza, and it was a standout. The crust was super crispy, and the flavor overall was really good.
Overall, this is a lively spot that’s perfect for watching a game. Tons of TVs throughout, great beer, and excellent pizza. It’s got a fun, social vibe and is an easy place to hang out with friends for a game or a casual night out.“

“......what an incredibly tasty delicious burger i had here, again when the nephew from texas was visiting........imagine in and out is upscale and better......well, this is THE burger..........literally mops the floor with all the other burgers in san diego, da-yum this was da-good.........and we sat outside under an umbrella on compact metal furniture with an incredible bay view right in front of us........so san diego, this joint...........“

“Craft beer places are a dime a dozen in SD, but I knew after one visit that Machete is easily going to become a favorite water hole to visit when I am in the mood for a good variety of craft beer. They have a bunch of different styles, and a selection of beers from breweries that I either haven't heard of or never tasted before. Love that. It gets boring seeing the same 3-4 breweries at every place that offers craft beer in SD.Vibe is super chill, casual and divey.Staff here is really nice. I didn't get his name, but he let me try a few different beers and gave great recommendations based on the styles I like.No food here, but the Papi’s Teppanyaki food truck is here from time to time. Check their IG for their schedule. Not sure if there are ever other options since I only recently found out about this place.Cheers!Edit: I came back a second time and the super cool bartender's name is Jett. If you come in on a day he's manning the bar, you're in great hands. :)

“Stopped into Mason Ale Works in Barrio Logan and was pleasantly surprised to see they had hard ciders on tap. I ordered a cider flight and was immediately in my happy place — great variety and a fun way to try a few different flavors.
The bartender was super friendly, and the whole vibe was casual and fun, the kind of place you end up staying longer than planned.
Even better, you can grab tacos from Tacos El Villasana out back and enjoy them on the patio with your drinks.

“I attended an event at Meraki last night and absolutely loved the space! It’s beautifully clean, open, and so versatile—you can really make it your own. The food was delicious A++ (my favorite was the Fettuccine Alfredo) and the service was truly top notch. Such a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!“

“This is a great place to eat. The Western vibe is awesome and the service is pretty good. Not amazing, but pretty good. Waiters and waitresses are attentive, but when it gets busy, it takes them a little longer to come back around to you. They just hired a new waitress, so hopefully this has changed. The food is great though. It's my buddy's and mine spot to get a fish taco or quesa taco after a good mountain bike ride.“

“Brewjeria is one of the best breweries on 3rd avenue! The food is outstanding, definitely better than your average bar food.
The drinks are good, the service is good too, I really enjoyed chatting with the bartender.
The bathrooms are spacious and clean.
I recommend trying the michelada cubana!“

“Above average pool bar food, can order customizations if you order through a server who walks around the pool areas. Food is ordered through a kiosk inside the establishment or from your phone using a code attached to your pool chairs. Food comes out fairly fast, faster than other pool services I've experienced. Skip the tacos, fries/nachos kids items were great. Individually wrapped ice cream bars for kids. Open bar has plenty selection, and standard slushy drinks (Pine Colada, Strawberry daiquiri, marg).“

“So, I am updating my review. I still love Spiros, both locations,but this particular location has amazing views. However, the service here is not great, mostly 1 person, but they are always there, always taking the orders, which makes him hard to avoid. I believe his name is Steve. I literally dread placing my order when he's there. He is a very stressful person and therefore makes the ordering experience stressful. I go anyway with my family, this place isn't cheap for a casual place but the food is great. Well, recently I had an interaction with this guy that really upset me and my fam, he was very rude in front of customers and tried to make us feel bad. It was busier than normal because it was holiday time and events were happening. I will be contacting management personally but just beware of this guy when you go. Seriously disappointed.“

“I am travelling on business and was referred to this restaurant by the hotel - and it was such a great experience! Diego was an amazing server who made the best recommendations for ceviche and tacos. He was so friendly and attentive, really made the experience even more amazing. I have never tried anything like this food and will be sure to come back again! It's a MUST try!“

“Honestly could be considered a bit pricy until you finish your first drink. The bar tenders make some of the best drinks I've ever had and at first they seem to just be heavy on the fruit but about halfway thru you realize they balance the alcohol perfectly so you cant tell that they definitely make them very sturdy for a day at the beach. As for the tacos, I usually end up having several by the end of the day they are just so balanced and flavorful. Good portion size too (I usually get several fish tacos and one or two shrimp thru the day). I will always recommend the classic margarita with a tajin rim or the watermelon drinks they make. The fruit garnish is to die for and very refreshing complement to the drink itself. I am very passionate about this place.“

“This is the perfect place if you’re looking for a cozy Italian dinner outing. The staff were attentive and polite. We were seated right away and our server gave some good recommendations. Their bread and butter is so good, we had to control ourselves before the entrees came! Salad was big and we got the smaller portion. We tried the Works and that was so fulfilling. They are not greedy with their cheese. Our favorite was the garlic cheese bread. We could eat that alone and be happy. The ravioli was good the kids liked it with some extra seasoning. Lastly the chocolate cake was very rich and sent us home full and happy.“
