“Absolutely the finest Soul Food. You don't want to skip this place. I had the lunch portion of the Oxtail and chose the Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese as sides. It came with 2 Cornbread Muffins. It was all delicious and filling. I ordered the Coconut Pineapple Cake for Dessert. It filled the container. See the picture. Totally Recommend this place.“

“This place is always good! When my wife and I find ourselves in LA near one of these. We always take advantage and make time to eat here. These are the BEST WAFFLES, I have ever tried. The chicken is also amazing. The portions of the meals is well worth the price, hell they could sell the meals for more! My wife and I love to eat and it's a struggle to finish our meals.“

“I was in LA a couple of weeks ago on business and found this spot the day before leaving and that's my biggest regret. Wish we'd found it the first day we we're there I'd have been eating there everyday. The food and atmosphere are excellent and a live DJ playing music we all grew up on (can you dig it ✊?). “Lost my keys somewhere along Sunset and checked in with Ceci’s to see if anyone turned them in. They didn’t but ownership was so kind and empathetic that they handed over a fresh and delicious piece of tomato focaccia for my troubles. That’s what’s called unreasonable hospitality. Thank you guys, that was incredibly sweet of you and it brightened my day.“

“Our family of 5--parents + kids 22, 19 and 13--had Fatburger on our "must do" list for LA. We wanted to eat inside, but they were only serving through the drive-thru so...drive-thru it was. The wife and I don't eat beef so we each got the Fatburger w/Impossible patty. The kids got the Classic Fatburger. Fries all around of course. The car was filled with smacks, slurps and mmmms. Good burgers! Now the fries could have used more seasoning but the burgers were slappin'!“

“I enjoyed their food...I didn't particularly care for the instant mashed potatoes... had I'd known that they were "instant" and not real mashed potatoes I would have passed on the instant mashes potatoes, and definitely not ordered that particular item with my 3 ( three)to go orders. Other than that..everything was good and seasoned just right... :)I support this business, and I love that they are also an organization that is helping men and women get back on track with their sobriety.. Dare U To Care Grill is helping to keep them gainful employment and also helping them establish stable housing.Everyone deserves a second chance...Dare U To Care Grill is doing great things!! “I checked out Charlie's Fish N Chips. Got the Red Snapper and Shrimp combo, both deep fried. Came with Fries, a dinner roll and a salad. The Fish and Shrimp were hittin', the Fries weren't hot. Staff was cool and efficient. I would go here again 100.“

“I stumbled across “nugtown” for late food in the area and was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the food made fresh to order - I literally watched him batter and fry them - the owner was the sweetest human who genuinely cared about his services. He even threw in every sauce (which are bomb btw) so we could try and report back. I brought them home to my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop telling people that we found a new go-to spot! Wishing Nugtown the utmost success!! ?

“I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional.
The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away.
The rice was buttery and delicious, and the vegetables were a wonderful complement to the meal.

“As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.
There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.
There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.
Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.“

“Got to sample the food when they were a vendor at the Afro-Latinx festival event at the MOLAA earlier this year. As I trying to determine which food vendor to support as I wanted to sample food that was reflective of the event. He didn’t have his menu prominently available so I had to asked him what he was selling, he said the magic word oxtail and I was sold. Food was delicious and there sadly was no leftovers, as I scraped it clean. Not the cheapest but the food was tasty to justify, as well as the drink/juice. Definitely would recommend and would want to try the other dishes.“

“This was a delightful, casual dining experience. The space is adequate, but I imagine it's packed during busy hours. Early brunch is a great idea. The service was friendly, the vibes were immaculate, and brunch was actually so much more than I expected!!! I read the reviews, but nothing prepared me for how delicious everything was!! Do whatever it takes to get those special pancakes. And if you like bread pudding, you'll LOVE their bread pudding bites!!“
