“The vegan burger (plus the combo fries and drink) is amazing. Probably the best clearly-labelled vegan burger you're going to get in the area, since it has a good patty, a good bun, and a delicious thousand island sauce, and the vegan options in IV are lacking… $10 for a vegan burger, fries, and drink is better than almost any place I've been to. Fast service, but you eat in a cafeteria-like setting. Haven't tried the black bean or hummus burger, but I'm sure they're good too. I come here every week as a lunch between my classes.“
“I only had the chili fries and too many of you are comfortable with being racist in your reviews of this place. Weirdo entitled freaks of nature.... like who actually cares if someone doesn't speak english that well? English is a hard language to master and honestly if you come to a FOOD place for great conversations you're weird asf What matters is the food and the chili fries good asf!“
“I was a Gaucho for a couple of years and the UCSB dining commons are nothing but special to me. Pizza, burgers, pasta, sandwich bar, salad bar, waffle machine, unlimited soda, all-you-can-eat everything all with a simple card swipe! (or <$20 for non-students) Seriously, some of you guys' complaints make no sense. You really expect French Laundry quality here? Yeah right! This place's job is to provide us with glucose for our brains to complete our studies, and for that I'd say it's beyond satisfactory. Ranking of the DCs: 1. Ortega (sushi baby!) 2. DLG (late night cravings) 3. Carrillo (best breakfast) 4. Portola (too far, had it once)“
“Was ok but....We ask for the trip tip sandwich there ok but im mexicanThey dont have any hot or spicy salsaAnd they dont even ask how we like the meat they just give us the sandwiches and i like the meat well done and the sandwishes come medium, they have to have an option about the meatParking: You have to park on the side of the road if you get lucky find a closed parking“
“Gluten free bread is available which is huge for us with food allergies! I was able to have steamed mussels and switch out garlic bread with gluten free bread. The bathroom was messy but I will deal with that for the ability to have gluten free bread and amazing flavored seafood!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread is available!“

“A bit out of the way from downtown SB, but worth it. We headed out to try the "breakfast burger" during Burger Week. It was pretty small but tasty. Props for creativity. Service was very friendly and prompt. Casual vibe -- we sat on the outdoor patio w our dogs, and appreciate that they're dog-friendly.“
“I love fresh fish and since moving from Hawaii to here it's been impossible to find locally. Most of the places I've gone to have been middling at best, some I would just call serving bait. Nikka serves a tempura style fish that was cooked perfectly with a light batter coating The fish was fresh and firm as it should be. I heartily recommend Nikka and we'll be back soon for more.“
“We went to try the burger special, Paddy Daddy. The burger itself was good, but the corned beef on it was pretty tough & chewy. Loved the slaw & homemade pickles were awesome. Buffalo cauliflower was also very good. Loved the quirkiness of the decor & the mismatch of S&P shakers. Definitely will come again to try the pizza & other menu items.“
“Love getting lunch here! There's a wide selection of items for a custom salad, and the price it pretty fair (for context, I'm used to Sweetgreen) for the size. You can also get the free daily bread option, and they have soups for an extra price; you can ask to sample them too. I never feel hungry after having one of their salads! My only complaint is that they're only open for 2 hours Mon-Fri :(Vegetarian options: Almist every option is vegan, but there are meat protein options. I'm not sure about the dressings, but I'd assume the oil/vinegar dressings are vegan and vegetarian.“
