“We were visiting East County and I googled "Vegan Near Me," and El Veganito came up. Vegan Mexican Food! Amazing. It's just amazing food, in general. I got the California burrito, and it was delicious Mexican food and huge! One burrito was lunch and dinner. Just a note, the restaurant is in a food court and not visible from the road. I highly recommend El Veganito.Vegetarian options: All Vegan!“

“This place is one of the best kept secrets in Lakeside. I've lived here for over 15 years and never even knew about this place so when I ate here for the first time, I was floored. The food is amazing and feels so fresh. The service is really nice, plus our waiters and waitresses had really good recommendations. The atmosphere is so nice, feels very comfy yet fancy. Highly recommend eating here.“

“OMG! The flavors! Outstanding!! Every bite I can't decide which to eat again next. Probably the BEST BBQ I've ever had. I so wish I lived closer. Mmmm Oh...the BQQ sauce served was delicious and I ate plenty. But I finally took a bite of the ribs sans sauce and they were amazing alone. Almost forgot to mention the all you can eat fish on Friday...today. My husband ate his fill! Would have had a fourth platter if allowed. He loved the Cole slaw & baked beans.“

“Had the Ahi sandwich, with avocado. It was delicious! The owner came to our table to check up on how we were doing, very nice!! Appreciated the attention all associates took to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. The potato chips were made from scratch, I gathered them up and took them home, they were so good!! All ingredients are super fresh, this is a rare experience that you will not want to miss!!!“

“Yes, please!! This place is amazing. A little pricey, but the food is delicious and worth it! The Green Bird sandwich is so very good! Their french fries are the best around and I'm not exaggerating. The menu is huge! They make fresh squeezed green juices daily! The service is professional, but not that friendly. Good location with easy parking.“

“Great spot for coffee and lunch. I know a lot of reviews say it's a great place to work from, I have to say I disagree. This is an awesome coffee shop and it has wifi, but it also plays screamo/hard rock music which isn't the most conducive for working and they only allow laptops at certain tables. Will definitely be back but sans laptop.“

“The building is inviting and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot gets full on Sunday. The restrooms were well kept.As for the food itself, it seemed made with fresh ingredients, but the taste was a bit lacking, at least in the eggs. I ordered the Asparagus Scramble (Sunday special). While I really appreciate the mix of fresh veggies, it tasted a bit bland. Adding some spiciness would go a long way towards improvement.Someone in my party ordered the machaca burrito; it was mostly filler potato with a bit of shredded beef. The pancakes and the biscuits are huge. We ordered a half-serving of biscuits and gravy, and it was still enormous. They didn't scrimp on the hash browns and home fries portions.“

“Love this place. I have gone a few times and each time has been a good experience. Went at night and they only had one server at the time and she was doing it all. Serving drinks and food. Props to her. Atmosphere is great. Drinks are affordable, and the food is good.“

“Really good service. Very friendly and professional. Food was well prepared and favorable. Had our preteen granddaughters with us, and they enjoyed their meals a lot.Dietary restrictions: We shared our allergy issues, and all meals were free of issues.Kid-friendliness: They have a small game area that we enjoyed.“
“A nice salty little tap room in a place we never would have found if our dog hadn't broken a $550 nail... The bartender was the pleasantly gruff you would want to expect at a wee neighborhood place. He definitely had me nailed just walking in for a Porter, the wartime chocolate, and a fine pick it was. As always in San Diego, a very IPA heavy menu (5 IPA, 3 cream, 2 sour) out of 16 taps, but the Kolsh was good as well. Atmosphere was very nice, for a cozy little place, especially for Canadian WWII buffs. If I am back this way, I will be back.“

“This restaurant is in downtown La Mesa seriously amazing. Probably the best burger I've ever had. I got to be the last burger before they sold out. it was so juicy but honestly this sauce they put on top has like southwest flavoring, and they have roasted poblano peppers on top of the burger. So much flavor but not falling apart. This place is clean, nice and the most accommodating staff. The owners were there and took care of us personally. It's definitely worth the line.“

“Best place to bring a toddler for breakfast/lunch. The staff was lovely. Tasty, comfort food with good pricing. Kids pancake was in the shape of Micky so that was a bonus! And the best thing of all: the planes! We sat facing the air strip and between watching planes take off, helicopters flying overhead and the toy plane the waitress brought my son to enjoy while waiting for his food - it was nonstop entertainment. Will be back!!“

“I loved their mocha! Great local coffee place and café. Lots of outdoor seating and parking. The staff was super friendly. Great experience! I will definitely be back. My only disappointment is that they do not have merch! Would have loved to get a fun T-shirt, hat or beanie. Coffee culture is a thing. Coffee lovers like to collect merch from memorable coffee houses in our travels. Hopefully next time I am in town, I will be able to pick up a fun T-shirt. ??☕️ ?“
“Cute space, great coffee. All sizes get 2 shots of espresso. Decided on their Honey Lavender latte - delicious. Hubby wanted his usual Caramel Macchiato, so Caramel Latte is it. Kids got hot chocolate, my son described it tasted like marshmallow. Overall good!“
“This place is hoppin! Monday nights are a great night to come here and learn to line dance, or just watch all the beautiful people line dance. The crowd was mixed with young people and their parents ( I think) I know I look like someone's parent. My kid would never be seen with me here, but anyway. I had an imperial stout and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I used to be a stout/porter/dark beer girl. Ok, I was a beer babe back in the day. But nowadays, I only drink tequila or seltzers for the carb savings. On this Monday, I chose to break my new pattern and enjoy one of my old favorites. The Imperial stout had good carbonation, was full flavored but not over powering or bitter. It was excellent if I might say. I saw that they have events every night of the week, and this place is very popular, trendy, and happening for a SANTEE establishment.“

“Great boba place with a very chill and pleasant atmosphere. There are a ton of options here to choose from that all sound so good. So many that it's almost hard to choose. A little pricey but worth it for the quality and attention to detail. Service was excellent. “If your on the edge about this place, jump off the cliff. Cause it's a place you can't take the chance to miss. Everything we ordered was on par or above expectation. The meet was tender and juicy beyond belief, we all fought over the corn bread, but the surprise of the night was how unbelievable their turkey was! We were blown away by the quality and the amazing work ethic that must have gone into cooking such flavourful food. Kudos to everyone in house. “This place has been a favorite of my wife and her family - and now all of us - for half a century! She is addicted to their deep-fried burritos (simple but tasty little gut bombs they are) and the peanut butter fudge shake I created for her. (I'm also partial to the banana fudge shake, but all the ice cream goodies here are luscious!) My mother adores their strawberry sundaes and shakes. “I have passed by Izzy's so many times over so many years and the place is easy to miss. If you miss it, you are missing out! Amazing food, friendly service. It is always packed, so be prepared to wait. Although, you really won't wait too long. And, it's totally worth the wait! Be sure to get their coffee cake muffin, and ask for one to go! “It was a great experience visiting Luna Grill. I was ordering for several people, to be dropped off at different locations, and they had no problem bagging things separately. The manager, Roman, worked with me closely to create a safe dish for allergies, including subbing out the pita bread for extra rice. We will definitely visit again! The restaurant was clean. There was a short wait in line when we visited around 2pm, but no line after that. Two of the drink options were out of order.“

“This is STRICTLY about the food. As a pizza connoisseur hailing from the nyc/nj area. I can say the best description for this pizza is a cross between Costco and Chuckie Cheese. Not bad just nothing to rave about. It's like you buy it to Shut your kids up about pizza, not because you're craving it and want it yourself. The Garlic bread was also an interesting take. It was just buttered toast not the traditional Italian bread you'd expect as an actual Italian pizza spot.Sincerely an East Coast Pizza Connoisseur.“

“The tri-tip sandwich was good but not as lean or as large as I would hope. The onion rings were good but most were not the crispy bite I prefer. John at the bar was friendly, putting up with my banal conversation. I sat at the bar because apparently it's the only place a human can take your order. You must log in with your smartphone at any table. Payment was also thru the smartphone, which I had never done before. Is this all an attempt to keep staffing levels as low as possible?“
“I was in town for a little over a month, and Little Miss quicky became my local. Great staff, great beer, and great atmosphere. I could not recommend more highly. The other two breweries within walking distance don't hold a candle in comparison. I will definitely miss Little Miss!“

“I was surprise to run into this place. On occasion when I go to Mexico and cross from tecate I venture on to try different restaurants and such. But this time I stop for a glass of wine. I was not disappointed at all. The owner was a pleasant guy who you can tell really enjoys making wine. His selection was just right for the area and he was very nice to discuss the grapes, areas of cultivation, climate, etc. he took the time to also poor some good wine and the quality was good enough for me to go home with two bottles. I like the tasting room. It was old west like and clean. Overall as part of a wine tasting weekend in that area I would for sure come here. I am planning on going there for another weekend to just visit the rest of the wineries around and enjoy the area. A very pleasant and unexpected adventure for sure.“

“Best pizza in East county. This is coming from someone who grew up in the Tri State area. I'm used to having some of the best pizza New York and New Jersey have to offer. “We just spent a wonderful day visiting Valentina Vineyard with the best hosts - Lupita and Lance. They spoiled us with their amazing hospitality. As we enjoyed tasting many of their beautiful wines (so many great ones, you have to go yourself), we also had the opportunity to taste their delicious olive oil, honey, and even some marmalade. And because everything was so good, we had to purchase all these to bring home with us to enjoy. So many people in San Diego don’t realize we have this and many other vineyards in Dulzura and Jamul. These are hidden gems to be discovered. And while you’re down there, stop in for the best tacos at the Dulzura Market and Taqueria right next door.We look forward to going back again and again“

“I've been coming here for over 20 years. The owner is amazing and treats everyone like family. He is nearly always there and greets everyone with the biggest smile. They have THEE BEST salsa! It's homemade and has a perfect somewhat chunky texture. Because of the chunkiness it stays put and doesn't just pour through your burrito. Their salsa really is what sets them apart from some other taco shop.We all have our special places for certain Mexican food. This is my breakfast burrito place. I cannot (and would not) get a breakfast burrito anywhere else. I also love their carne asada and plain quesadillas. It's got a little crunch to the outside so it's not this limp tortilla with greasy cheese like so many places tend to serve. Another cool thing is they give you a choice between American and Mexican guacamole. I don't know another taco shop that gives the customer that option. They just really care about making the customer happy and making great food.Parking: Tons of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped spots are right in front of the restaurant and they have large front doors that are often open making it very easy to enter.“

“Really great service and the food is great. You can also order food to pick up which is nice when you don't want to go and do the sit down thing. The atmosphere is beautiful and it's nice we have this place in Jamul. The only downside is side is that the hours seem to be hit or miss which I assume is why they don't have more reviews. A new business needs to have set hours and be open 7 days a week to thrive in a small town.“
