“Stopped here for a quick bite and was surprised to find how great the food was for a good value. I got a steak torta and my partner got the supreme burrito. The portion sizes are quite filling and I really like their guacamole. They make it fresh and creamy, using perfectly ripened avocado with lots of lime juice. There's limited seating inside and outside the restaurant if you wanted to dine in, but this is not a place where they serve you. They offer catering trays, family size portions by the pound, or you can order individual items.“
“Amazing food and worth the stop in Gonzales when traveling down the road. Fresh made tortillas off the charts. We got one order of quesobirria $20 and it was huge with 4 tacos. We actually made two meals out of it. The cheesey meat filled tortillas and the dipping sauce was the best Ive ever had. There were several other offerings on the menu like the stuffed baked potato that I'm looking forward to trying.“
“I really like the quality of their meats (and that's why I eat there once a week) and like how fast my food is ready for pickup. My only complaint is that almost every single time I've ordered, I've had something missing. Sometimes it's a straw, or lemons, or salsa, and sometimes it's all 3. Since the bag is taped shut, it's hard to tell if there's anything missing, and I usually find out once I'm in my car ready to eat. When I place orders, I specify that I want everything included except for onion, so it's frustrating to have to head back to the restaurant to just get what I asked for in the beginning. Otherwise, it's delicious food.“
“Omg the shrimp burrito was amazing. I'm so glad I found this place. If you're heading to not Nor Cal or So Cal on the 101, it's a must! The place looks nice inside. There are plenty of TVs and they even have a bar with a big screen TV.“
“I love coming to El Lugarcito. Whenever I’m passing through King City it’s a must stop. I LOVE how it’s a family run business. I saw a review about a baby in the restaurant, yes he’s the next generation. I remember fondly growing up local restaurants playing with the owner’s kids. The food, INCREDIBLE. My favorite are the carne asada plate, Diablo shrimp, and garlic shrimp. And it is FAST. Like wow is it fast. Great service, love the food, it feels like family.“
“Plump, fresh, juicy, big shrimp with fresh cheese on my tostadas. It wasn't on the menu but I asked and I'll order it again; sorry I forget the price but it was so reasonable, I thought "We have to make this our regular stop between the Bay Area and Pismo". Family member had carne asada soft tacos, yum. Great food, prices are just as good! Clean, no flies, not too noisy, comfortable. King City appears to be a nice little town.“
“Great place for a pit stop at the halfway point of my long motorcycle ride. I got the carnitas plate which was a ton of food. I ate 2/3 and was full to the max. Carnitas was super tasty. Will be coming back on my way through in the future.“
“If you're in town. Better yet if you want authentic Mexican food stop by this place. The staff are wonderful and if you don't know what you want try one of their daily specials.I ate their house special "El Guadalajara." Picture above.Did I mention freshly made corn tortillas.Delicious. Simple food with so much flavor. This place will be my go to next time I'm passing by.“
