“Tried La Jolla Boba for the first time and overall had a good experience. The staff members provided quick service while keeping their friendly attitude when they served our drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and the Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie. The Strawberry Matcha provided a nice drinking experience because its matcha taste stayed delicate as it combined with strawberry flavors. The Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie was also good, creamy and refreshing.

The drinks maintained a consistent quality and the prices were reasonable at $7.50 each for the regular size. The shop was empty during my visit so I experienced complete silence while I relaxed there. A nice perk is that they vouch for parking, which makes stopping by more convenient in La Jolla.“

“Customer service was good . However, the food was hard and really cold.We ordered at 10pm on a friday night and got 2 of the 8combos. Maybe thats why? but I feel like at least the rice or the sauce should be warm but sadly it wasn't. I dont think ill get it at night time or in general. Also for one of it there was gyoza and one wasn't so my bf got super sad with his.

New visit:
I gave it a second chance and it was quite good! The drinks ofc was 10/10 and customer service. The food was 100 times better than last time. It was warm and had the good flavor for the curry and the short ribs. Also the salad that came with it was fresh and thr gyoza was hot and crunchy. I think it was just bad last yime since it was near closing time. If you are at ucsd or near you should definitely try!“

“My friends and I drink a LOT of milk tea – we always go back to Camellia Rd. The quality of the tea and boba is unrivaled – both in San Diego and the Bay (where I live now).

I’ll always try their seasonal flavor, and my go-to order is usually the camellia blend or matcha milk tea. Staff are always so nice, and the shop is really fun to sit in with the quirky decor and artwork. Nice to have outdoor tables, too.

Always look forward to my next SD trip so I can carve out time to make a pit stop (or two or three) at Camellia.“

Pricing was more normal than other places haha...boba was cooked well. Tea flavor could definitely be a bit stronger.

“reminds me of Taiwan, specifically a typical cafe in Gaoxiong, which is the most comparable place to SD in the US. It's spacious, comfortable (cushion for butts without cushion), family-friendly, pet-friendly, games for kids, a piano: it's basically a day-care center. The decoration is very DIY and neat, which is what really gave me Taiwan vibes. Yellow lights (I don't know why other shops use bright white office lights..) They know how to decorate on a budget. Clean bathroom. Clearly a family business. The owners are from Guangdong, but theyre quite different from the city people. Maybe San Diego slowed them down.. If this is the vibe of SD, I'm def lovin' it!

drinks are pricey, $6+ with boba. Boba isn't free. Standard milk tea is solid, but even at 30% sweetness, it's quite sweet. Egg puff for $5 is cute.

“Best milk tea in San Diego! Our go to drink has been oolong milk tea with tiramisu topping and house boba. Just got the fruit tea today, and it’s very refreshing too! They recently added this kiosk machine and replaced the older chairs and tables with new. Look really nice! Highly recommended!“

The service is very sweet, I’m lactose intolerant and I don’t want to have the non dairy creamer since it is usually not healthy. The staff told me the Matcha Genmai Green doesn’t have milk in it and the strawberry matcha can add oat milk instead. I chose Genmai green with 25% sugar and pistachio milk foam. Milk foam usually doesn’t bother me since it’s really little amount and processed, the staff double confirmed with me about the milk foam which was really considerate. The drink was really really strong, really tea tastes straight forward! Probably it is the most tea flavor forwards drink I’ve ever had, it is delicious, intense and refreshing! If you love tea, you have to try this! Also the sugar level I chose 25% is right good, you almost didn’t taste the sugar, there’s a little sweetness in the green tea jelly. I think I’ll definitely recommend this place!“

I've been coming back here more frequently for their outstanding services and delicious drinks, I'm a fan of matcha, bobas and still want to try more, I'd love to try their cakes when I could. Try their brown sugar bobas, that's better than the regular and tasty. Their teas and ingredients are devoured and fresh, I'm impressed with the Matcha Fresh Milk and Rose Milk tea, they made with real rose and smell like rose. I'm happy with their friendly, dedicated and patient staffs and I'm looking for coming back here more!

“Not sure what’s taking me so long to write a review for this place, but I’m a regular. This is the place i go a few times a week to get my boba fix. Their boba texture is just about right. You can customize your drink - no ice, less sugar,etc at no extra charge. It’s dangerous for my waistline but worth it. It’s a small shop and there’s not really an area to sit down to hang out. It’s more like an order and go kind place.“

Taro fresh milk tea - not too sweet
Omomo matcha - weird clouds of salty something (edit - was cheese clouds, I am not a fan but my friend is. They're like these rich, slightly salty dairy blobs that surprise you when you stick your straw over them)
Angry matcha - I did not see the espresso shot at the top, so it seemed like a regular matcha drink to me.
Itchy Peach - same cheese clouds but with a peach slush, pretty nice if you like those 2 things
Second Momo - peach drink with tea base, has a nice tea after taste and small cut peaches, refreshing and not too heavy

There is no inside seating. There is often a line, but it moves pretty fast. The drinks are still $5-8, but for the quantity and quality, it’s a deal compared to the places that use powders. I almost think the drinks are too big because it’s a lot of milk, sugar, and depending on what you order, caffeine. These drinks have kept me up all night. Usually I wouldn’t complain because more is better, but this is a little too much.

The quality is good, and the drinks are well executed. Still not the most amazing tea drinks I’ve ever had but a good choice if you want something to sip on.“

“We stopped by the Wushiland Boba in UTC while walking around the mall, and it was pretty good! Their menu is simple, and you can tailor the level of sweetener & ice when you order. The cashier recommended the orange (or was it grapefruit? I can’t remember lol) with yakult and it was delicious! If you’re a yakult fan, I highly recommend. My friend got one of their teas with oolong and it had a nice nutty, roasty flavor. If you like boba and are at the utc mall, I recommend stopping by this spot“

“You really can't beat the value and flavor of Wushiland's drinks! Our favorites are the roasted oolong milk tea triple shots of tea with boba, and new Uji matcha latte in oat milk.

The roasted oolong milk tea tastes so milky and being able to adjust triple shots for free makes the roasted tea flavor so pleasantly strong. When you get boba, they give sooo much boba and the drink size and topping amount is so much for what you pay compared to other boba tea shops.

The new Uji matcha latte sub oat milk is so nice! Even my husband who doesn't like matcha likes it. Extra points that subbing oat milk is free.

Parking can be challenging since it's a busy 99 ranch market and service is slower than KM since they're busier.“
