“I recently discovered a charming location for boba lovers like myself, and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop on our journey. The place boasts an impressive variety of flavors, aligning well with my dietary preferences. Opting for a dairy-free treat, I chose the piña colada flavor, which was nothing short of delightful - a sweet and creamy concoction that I highly recommend to anyone with a similar taste for tropical flavors.
The ambiance of the boba shop is equally appealing. It's spacious, filled with natural light, and maintained with meticulous cleanliness, creating a very inviting atmosphere. The overall vibe is relaxed and positive, making it a pleasant place to sit back and enjoy your drink.
Moreover, this spot is notably dog-friendly, much like most places in La Jolla, which makes it an ideal stop if you're out with your pet. For those seeking a refreshing start to the day or a healthy snack, this boba shop is a fantastic option, offering not just delectable boba but also an array of healthy food choices.“

“This is my favorite boba spot in San Diego! I try to go to boba places that use authentic ingredients such as real tea and milk (no powdered milk or artificial flavoring). Camellia Rd uses honey to sweeten their boba and cane sugar syrup for their milk teas. Their tea selection is fantastic with great flavor so if you are a tea person this is the place for you. They also have boardgames available in shop so my husband and I love to come here for a quick date and bring our baby. it can get crowded and there are often lots of people studying. Coming in the evening or at an off time is recommended. When it’s not crowded it is a nice open space with room for strollers if you’re a mom out there! Board games too if you have older kids. They have alternative milk options and rotating seasonal flavors. They also dont accept cash. There is a free parking lot outside but again can get crowded and be difficult to find parking but it is a large lot so if you are persistent you’ll find a spot eventually. 10/10 would recommend as a great family spot, place to hangout, or study.“

“Hey Chakaa y’all the best boba in the town ?
I used to went there at least once a week, but after they raised the price 1$ more I stopped going. But this is still the best and favorite boba in San Diego :)
Hope sometimes store owner can offer some BOGO or promotion or points redemption(like buy 10 get 1 free)“

“Check this place out, lots of great bubble tea options. I personally enjoy the jungle coffee and sea salt coffee flavors with boba or coffee jellies. Wife swears by the avocado smoothie with crystal boba. This is a hidden gem for sure! Support this exceptional business when you get the chance, you will be happy you did!“

“One place we love to go to after dinner is Yomie’s Rice Yogurt. The staff members are always great and are friendly. I love that they give you suggestions and give you information on each one. The drinks are all made from fresh fruits and not frozen. They make their own type of yogurts. The drinks are flavorful and not too sweet. Tonight, we both tried one of their more popular drinks, Mango Pomelo Sago Yogurt. All I can say is that it was yummy and definitely satisfied me. We are looking forward to trying more of their flavors, including Durian.

“Found Yipbee Boba on yelp!
I ordered my usual drink every boba shop I go to:
-passion fruit green tea, boba included for $6.05
Pricing was more normal than other places haha...boba was cooked well. Tea flavor could definitely be a bit stronger.
There is some seating inside.
Easy parking in the plaza.“

“One of the best, consistently good boba places I’ve been to. Not too sweet. Boba is just the right texture to me, and I love their grass jelly. I always get the Thai tea or a fruit tea. Good açaí bowl too. Welcoming place to hang out with couches and tables. It is across the street from high school and next to stronghold, so it can get busy with kids after school, but service is still fast.“

“On my way to Marshalls, I stopped by this locations which had an extensive menu. Initially, I considered the mango pineapple tea, but since it was afternoon and I wanted to avoid caffeine, I opted for the caffeine-free sparkling strawberry lime tea instead. The staff member was helpful in confirming caffeine or not, and the order was prepared quickly. While the tea tasted good, I found the strawberry purée a bit heavy, as I prefer smoother teas without pulp. Next time, I'll choose a tea without purée. Overall, I would recommend this refreshing option.“

“Ordered the Ube mochi donut and the coffee black tea. The drink was amazing, perfect amount of sweetness and balance of coffee/tea flavor. The $4 donut was mediocre. Service was a bit slow as there was only one worker. Parking lot limited with tight/cramped spots.“

“Okay…..So here’s the rub as they say.Great spot. They were very helpful in creating an adventurous drink that I enjoyed. I don’t get boba very often as I’ve found that sometimes it’s not worth the hype, but it was on the better side.I found the staff to be helpful, the establishment was clean, and they had tables outside to enjoy the summer. Overall, I would say it’s best than most spots and I would actually come back. It’s in the corner of a little shopping center though meaning parking is tight.“

“DaYung is in the corner of a strip mall, and the parking is really tight. If you can't find any in the lot, you can try for free street parking. The inside is also tight, not much space to wait. There are a couple benches only, no tables.
I made a trip to five different boba shops on Convoy to rank their "boba milk tea". I tried to get the closest to black tea if they had more than one option. I chose 100% sweetness and no ice (to eliminate dilution). Here are my ratings:
1 Camellia: boba milk tea, regular milk $6.38
2 Chakaa: ruby milk tea w brown sugar boba, regular milk $5.75
3 Tan-Cha: celon milk tea w caramel boba, non-dairy milk $7.25
4 Yun Tea House: Monkey King w boba, lactose-free house milk $7.28
5 DaYung: boba milk tea, non-dairy creamer $5.88
[Caveat: I think DaYung made a mistake on the order because it had some ice in the drink when I picked it up. When I tasted it at home, it tasted watered down and completely bland, like there was no sugar. So I think instead of 100% sugar and 0% ice, they gave me 0% sugar and 100% ice.]
My friend called them to let them know of the mistake, and the manager offered to refund the money. That was incredibly nice of them to do so.
In terms of the actual boba balls, DaYung's ranked #4. It was too mushy. There was no chewiness. That's too bad because I remember liking their boba.
They still have week day promos. The current one for every day is anything strawberry.

“One of the best and cleanest China hot pot spot in the universe. Promise you won’t get the runs afterwards. Great food selection and a ton of soup base to choose from. Oh and they have the best selection of dipping sauce as well. Must try if you’re visiting the San Diego area. I drove nearly an hour and half in traffic for dinner.“

“This is a very well known place for milk tea fanatics in San Diego. Located at UTC, which is one of the most beautiful shopping mall in the heart of LA Jolla, thus there are so many things to do with friends around, not just drinking boba. However, their drink formula is TOO sweet, even with half sugar adjusted. Parking is only 2 hrs free, and if you want just to go for boba, walking and parking could be a hassle.
Parking: First 2 hrs free“

“Cute tea shop in Del Mar strip mall. It was busy when I arrived (good sign). I got a black jade milk tea omomo style with tiramisu foam and brown sugar boba. It was $8 and delicious. There's no place to sit inside or out but I found tables just down the sidewalk.“

“The drink I got, the papaya mango snowbubble, tasted very good. The boba also wasn’t bad. However, it was very noisy due to the music and background noise and I literally couldn’t hear what the cashier was saying about my order, and she couldn’t hear what I was saying either. My drink came without boba initially so I had to ask for that to be added. Thankfully, they were really nice even though I don’t think I paid for the boba lol
Parking: I came around 4:30 on a Saturday and the parking lot was basically full. The little mall this boba place in located was very busy.“

“We have been to Thai Social now twice, and the food is delishious, the first time we had beef drunken noodles and mixed yellow curry and shrimp wrapped in wrapper these were simple and nice size shrimp very tender and succulent with a chili dipping sauce, this is a very nice appitizer all where very good, the second time we had the pad Thai chicken and it to was very good, we also had the won ton soup, the soup was delishious except the won ton wrapper was a little pasty I think they made the wrapper with flour? Instead of corn starch, this won ton soup is delishious full of Won ton's and vegtables, peppers we got 6-7 and it was nice and spicy its a meal in its self! The wrapper of the won ton is just weird, staff are very nice, and attentive the resturant it self is very clean, very nicely decorated and cozy, not a loud resturant, it's warm and cozy, I am very happy we can walk to this Thai restaurant. We will be back“

“My partner and I genuinely get Bopomofo minimum once a week ever since we first tried it. The bala matcha (guava matcha latte) is one of my fav drinks in existence. I really appreciate that they don’t charge extra for oat milk. Also love that they offer vegan food options - the vegetarian (it’s also vegan) popcorn chicken is super good. I hope they add a vegan sauce besides ketchup in the future. Orders can take some time to come out, but ordering online ahead of time always work best for me.
Their customer service is also 10/10. I ordered online from the Artesia location by mistake a few weeks ago. The manager on shift, Suh, promptly connected with the Artesia location to organize a refund for me. They also provided me with their direct contact info in case I had any issues with receiving the refund. I really appreciate the SD staff for still fulfilling my order 10min before close. Thank you to the closing staff on shift on 10/16/2024 :)“

“One of my favorite Boba Spots in Convoy.
Make sure you download the app to gain points because there are a few franchises in SD.
You can order ahead, as well as skip the line in store to get your bubble tea on.

It’s pretty small inside, but its instagrammable walls make you want to sit and chat with your friends. There are also food available if you’re hungry!

“Best seafood boil in San Diego by far. I’ve tried em all. Me personally I don’t like the sauce all chunky and they don’t make their sauce chunky here it’s more liquid based and so good. I’m from the east coast and I’ve been searching high and low for a place that reminds me of the seafood boils from the Maryland/DC area so if you’re looking for the same thing trust me!“

“I am so thankful that my daughter one night was randomly craving soup dumplings here in escondido. I have NEVER had them before but she had seen a YouTube video about them and was dying to try them. We then stumbled upon to dumplings and more and boy am I glad! The soup dumplings (aka xio long bao) are amazing! Everything that I have ordered from here is nothing but superb: lamb dumplings, wontons in chili oil, Mongolian beef, Szechuan beef...all of it has been great and everyone is so nice! Place is well kept as well. I can't tell you how often I crave the food from here. Please try you won't be disappointed 😍
Kid-friendliness: This is my new go to place to have mother daughter dates with my 9 year old.“

“This is a great choice for lunch. They have nice combo meals with food + tea. You do have to upgrade if you want a milk tea with boba but it is worth it (versus a standard tea). They don't ask for tip and they offer a staff discount. I like the crispy chicken or crispy pork steak extra spicy. I would caution that it is easy to forget and get the wrong tea without boba you need to be sure to specify. It would be nice if they asked as I guess most people want the tea with boba.“
