“What a great place!! We stumbled across this place when we were out to dinner. The staff is friendly and kind. The owner Deano does all the work with the awesome bands they host on the weekends. From Country to hard rock. We haven’t heard one band we haven’t loved. If your looking for a great bar with great music this is the place. Everyone is welcome in this bar. Great atmosphere and you can even order food and eat while while you listen to fantastic music or play pool and watch sports. This is a true fabulous neighborhood bar. Come And enjoy. “They usually have good bands and a dear friend of mine does kareoke there and you meet a lot of nice people there and friends that you know and street tacos are great. The bartenders are all great. Service sometimes is slow but they pack house on werkends so get there early to get a seat i have recommened to get one more bartender on busy nights.“

“I am a bit biased because I work for the Chico Club. I must say as time goes by I find myself more and more drawn into this place. It is a diverse crowd of neighborhood people out looking to have a drink and socialize. Not a real busy place which makes it easy to get a seat at the bar or a pool table to shoot pool with a friend or someone you just met. In the 6 months I have worked there I have seen a major increase in returning old and new patrons. I believe if you are in the mood for a drink or socializing with some of your La Mesa neighbors give The Chico a chance I promise you won't be let down.“

“Well I use to frequent another one in Clairemont but it sadly closed. This location is a bit too fancy for my liking, I perferred the dingy one by main chick hot chicken. However it'll do. It has a good deal on Tuesday. We watched sinners and my god the sound was so loud. Like loudest I've ever heard....lastly I do not understand why you don't get free refills for the icee???!?!?!?!?!? That is 10 dollars!!!!!! 5 stars nonetheless“
