“The brussel sprouts were quite good. The peach bruschetta was very doughy. Description had blue cheese as part of the dish but it was very sparsely added. The eggs Benedict were good but the Thai chicken salad was very bland. Dressing was very light- almost tasteless. We sat outside and it was a very nice environment. Our waiter was very nice and attentive: we'd go back but I'd look through others' reviews to see which dishes were rated higher.“

“We had a wonderful romantic dinner at The Park Bistro & Bar, service was amazing, every dish was well balanced and fresh, the octopus was the highlight of the night. My boyfriend asked the server to come up with a drink made with Tequila and the bartender delivered the most delicious cocktail, it was the highlight of our trip for him! “I’ve enjoyed visiting Sunrise Bistro for breakfast. The convenient parking and manageable wait times make it a hassle-free spot for breakfast or brunch. I’ve tried a few dishes, like the carnitas and eggs, but my favorite by far is the smoked brisket and hash, which has become my go-to order. The only area for improvement would be the coffee. Better quality coffee and fresh creamer would really elevate the breakfast experience. Overall, it’s a nice place to dine in for breakfast or brunch.“

“Visited Crush'd for my birthday and it exceeded expectations! The atmosphere was great and you can tell the everything is well thought out, from the decor to the tableware.

We both went with a wine flight and had excellent recommendations from Jamie. Decided to splurge on the sturgeon caviar and it was served with the perfect accoutrement, highlight of the evening. Our server Shane recommended the duck fat potatoes (the Aioli was mindblowing) and Wagyu Tartine, both were fantastic!

“OMG this place is good! I’m usually not excited about a grill but do get excited about cheese and boy does this place have cheese in spades!

I got the MeltBurger because I couldn’t resist the oozing cheese in the picture. The burger looked just like the picture and tasted amazing! Juicy and full of flavor!

My wife got the Mac Daddy which, honestly, doesn’t really sound all that doo - carbs on carbs but it was SO GOOD! A great cheesy flavor and then bacon to boot. Yummy!

We topped our meal off with the garlic parm fries that were perfectly cooked and generous amounts of Parmesan on top and garlic throughout!

I highly recommend.

We we rather disappointed recently when we called to make reservations for 4 for lunch on 2/25/2022 and were informed they only take reservations for 5 or more. Is this true ? If so they should so state on their web site.“

“I really enjoy a beautifully cooked piece of salmon, which is not easy to come by. Quite often when I order seafood out at a restaurant it is overcooked. I can guarantee when I go to Roxx on Main. My salmon is perfection. Moist tender and juicy like it should be. I do enjoy her menu, which is very versatile.“

“Loved my birthday dinner tonight! Portions small for the prices in our opinion. A scallops main dish with 3 scallops is small. Drinks were amazing, decor fabulous and great service. My son had to go eat more food afterwards as he was still hungry. Bigger portions would be good. Loved everything else! Great choices, appetizers, main dishes and creative drinks were delicious. Kind of surprised knowing they knew it was my birthday that they didn't offer me a birthday "something" to make it special. For these prices I would expect something.“

“One of the best restaurants in Elmwood (4/5 green stars) It’s so easy to walk right by Summer Kitchen without even noticing it. It’s a narrow shopfront with just a few tables outside and it’s easy to miss as you ponder ice cream and other offerings from neighbors. Well, take it from me – forget ice cream and get a baked item from Summer Kitchen instead! Or try a pizza, or an egg salad sandwich – possibly the best egg salad sandwich you’ll ever have. But if you are limited for time, try one of the fresh fruit pastries (galette) – they seem expensive at $12 but they are big enough for two and totally worth it! I’m giving Summer Kitchen 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact. The positives are obvious – most of the ingredients are organic and locally sourced. Everything is made from scratch and there is transparent sourcing of the meat and fish (Mary’s free-range chicken, etc.). There are a reasonable amount of vegetarian options and you can definitely find some vegan dishes too (salads, sandwich, pasta). Summer Kitchen could make the biggest environmental impact by scrapping beef from the menu – replacing it with plant-based alternatives, ideally. Beef has a carbon footprint of around 10 times that of chicken and over 100 times that of pea protein, on average. If everyone one the planet ate 1 lb. of beef per week (the US average), total greenhouse gas emissions would increase by one third! I’ll write a post illustrating all of this soon on the Green Stars Project. So I really appreciate that Summer Kitchen makes more effort than the vast majority of restaurants on improving sustainability so that’s my suggestion for the biggest opportunity for improvement – cut the beef.“

“My son and I just had lunch at this place. The workers were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was spotless. The food was oh so good! I had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Next time I am in town, I will definitely go back again.“

First and foremost it is a great local bar the atmosphere and the vibes are great. You always feel comfortable and welcome by anyone ever there. I do have to acknowledge, however that the service sometimes can be slow and sometimes it takes me a good 5 to 10 minutes to be acknowledged while at the bar for a drink. I think this would be my only complaint. for some reason service sometimes for a drink can be a little slow. I must admit the bartenders here are some of the best. “I was hungry and decided to give this place a try. They did not disappoint. I ordered the heart attack omelet with hash browns and I left full. It took the waitress using both hands to bring me a plate, keep that in mind when you order. The portions are generous but not excessive, and the food is excellent. It's so good I even got an order of biscuits and gravy to go. Between the omelet with hash browns, the biscuits and gravy, and 3 glasses of tea my bill was less than $40. If you're ever in Martinez and want a good breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong with this place. The staff is on point, the food is worth writing home about, and the atmosphere will give you a good pat on the back.“

“Clean restaurant, Gluten Free options, friendly customer service. Was welcomed upon opening the entrance (the two ladies knew me lol). Our waitress was very friendly and kind checking in with us regularly. The fisherman’s stew and crème brûlée was delicious. 10/10“

This place has excellent food! The tuna sandwich was phenomenal and the eggs benny were pretty good! The coffee is fresh, hot, and delicious. Service was quick, and the food came out exactly on time. The ambiance is pretty good, with decent decor and clean surfaces.

The bad:

The service is... mixed. The waitstaff are not very outgoing but that's hardly a concern. They do check to make sure things are in stock and that means a lot.

The ugly:

Breakfast ran $50 for 2, so it's not cheap eats. But for a special treat, totally worth it!“

“I almost didn't go in because it looked like a hole in the wall on the outside. But I walked in and found that it is one of the cleanest restaurants I've been in for its size. They did not have gluten-free buns, but the cook made a fantastic lettuce wrapped burger. I'm really glad I went in. The food and service are all great!“
