“Came here for a baked potato and realized theres so much more to it than that! They had some delicious birria tacos and even birria ramen! The fish tacos were so delicious too. Im not usually one to divert from my usual agua de pepino but the drink with pineapple and i think it was spinach or something, i cant remember, but it was soo yummy too. The only thing that was really hard to figure out was parking. I spent like 30 minutes each time just going around the whole thing looking for parking. To be fair it was rush hour so there was a lot of traffic too.“

“I ordered the mixed tacos with shrimp, fish, chicken, and chorizo. I really enjoyed the chicken and chorizo tacos—the seasoning was great, and the combination of meat and vegetables was delicious. The crispy tacos were especially tasty, and it’s nice that you can choose that style for all of them.

The shrimp tacos were good, but for my taste the shrimp were a little chewy and could have used a bit more seasoning.

Overall, the tacos were delicious, and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant. The place was clean, with enough seating for a group of four or at the bar. The staff were super friendly and happy to help with the menu.

“This place looks a little 'sketchy', BUT the food is very good. I was working an event at the Oakland Colesium, and this was the only place you could walk to. If you can speak a little Spanish, it goes a long way. I got the Cubana sandwich, and it was so big, I could only eat half of it.“

Very good tacos. You really get snack tacos size. Don't underestimate the size, you will get full. I believe 6 would be plenty enough. You will definitely need a soda or drink to wash it down. Very satisfying. However, for $1 and snack tacos seems expensive. I suppose that's inflation as everybody puts it. Either way, very good and nice selections of other taco Tuesday selection.“

I got that fairly late at 2PM and everything was sold out except for the carne. The person I spoke to said to come early usually before noon if you want to have a taste of everything else. There are two tents set up with tables and chairs.“

“I recently moved to the neighborhood and called a pick up order for a burrito. They were so kind to call me back because I forgot to mention the type of beans I wanted. When I went in, they were extremely nice and my burrito was massive. Chips and salsa were great. Large drink selection. Everything they do is in house. Can’t wait to go back!“

“La Plaza is a hidden gem in Walnut Creek. Big menu with lots of options, you can't go wrong with anything you pick.

My go tos are the Chile Relleno or the Nachos. the Bean and Cheese Burrito is also one of the best I've ever had.

The star is the wonderful variety of veggies at the salsa bar. The place is functional, like a cafe. The people work hard to cut and prepare the food and clean the place. “I'm from Hartford, Connecticut, I used to live in Oakland for a spell. I would go to all the taco trucks around my area and this one was the best by far. This one always was packed because it had the best tacos and horchata. I would get chicken tacos or shrimp tacos or fish tacos. They are all amazing and authentic. You know the best place to eat is where the locals go and you'll notice all the Mexicans go here. Plus everybody else. International boulevard is is packed with ladies of the night. “If you want steamed tacos, go to this restaurant. The food is very delicious and they have a wide variety of sauces. Personally, I love chile de arbol sauce; It is spicy and very tasty. The prices are good too. The only thing is that they only accept cash.“

“If you arrive early you can find fresh barbecue and belly plus a consommé with chickpeas that is not very greasy but very tasty.

It seems to me that it is the flavor that is closest to the original Hidalgo barbecue and that it is sold every Sunday in some places in Mexico City or on the roads that lead to the city.

The service is a little slow because they have a lot of people and they have a musical group which I don't know if it's a good idea for a Sunday morning. But in general they have good service and good food.“
