As I approached this place, the one thing I really liked was how hipster and how modern they made their dining experience. They're really with the political times, but besides that, they take making tacos on a WHOLE another level.

Their tacos are a little bit on the expensive side -- but because they're artisan made, that's what MAKES it unique. I tried their vegan broccoli taco, drowsed with their thick peanut and soy sauce. The tortilla was made out of 100% corn and nothing more than that. In addition, their agua fresca is on point.“

My husband and I love walking here for lunch: He usually gets a burrito and I go between enchiladas and a breakfast burrito (which is offered ALL DAY!). There are so many meat choices! They throw in a bowl of chips and unlimited access to their salsa bar. I also enjoy their aqua fresca or horchata on occasion.

You can eat indoors or outdoors (both covered and sunny tables), or take your food to go.“

An afternoon operational run to evaluate one of Oakland’s highest-volume street culinary hubs. Service was incredibly fast, and the covered outdoor seating plaza made it easy to sit down and analyze the payload immediately.

Everything we ordered was excellent:

The Torta: My partner had the carne asada torta and loved it. It was packed with a generous amount of steak that was flavorful but not too spicy. The bread was perfectly soft but held together much better than he expected without getting soggy or falling apart.

The Tacos: I tried three different tacos—carne asada, fish, and al pastor—and all of them were fantastic. They were well-built and easy to eat because they didn't skimp on the tortillas. The kitchen put the perfect amount of salsa on top of each one so it didn't overwhelm the flavor of the meat.

The Standout: The al pastor was hands-down my favorite. It had that perfect balance of deep seasoning and those crispy, caramelized edges you look for in great pork.

The Drink: The strawberry horchata was delicious and super refreshing in the sun. It was creamy, sweet, and the perfect counter to the savory meats.

The Verdict: Tacos Sinaloa completely defends its reputation. Fast, delicious, and pristine street-level execution.“

“I love this little gem I stumbled upon on Pacheco Blvd, Martinez. My chicken burrito was very good and the 2 little bundles of fresh lime wedges and sauteed red onion w chopped jalapeño were a delicious surprise. I gambled on a small clamshell of Salvadoran cookies and I had to make myself stop eating them. Everyone who has tried them, likes them. They're not very sweet, which I like. “Love the salmon and my new fav is the dynamite shrimp bowl!! Rice cooked perfectly, shrimp are perfectly cooked and just the right spicyness and bright flavors to perk it up! Delicious!
