“5 stars for the delicious and high quality sushi. plus i have a gluten allergy and the chef/ server was super considerate and knew exactly what needed to be modified. my favorites were the bluefin tuna nigiri and the yellowtail hand roll (with soy paper), and i don’t typically like yellowtail.

however, i did not realize there was a 16% service fee included in the bill. it says so on the menu so that’s my oversight but at kazu nori, for example, the server tells you not to tip because of the service fee. so on the little screen i tipped 20% on top of the 16% service fee and tax. it’s my bad for not paying closer attention but they don’t verbally tell you either.“

“Such a wonderful vegan oasis in the San Fernando Valley! As locals know vegan offerings in the valley are limited compared with the rest of the city. I am so happy that I found this place I will be coming here often! Great food and atmosphere all around!“

I had they're tacos today. Their grill cheese, Mac and cheese and BLT were all really good too.

“Quaint, friendly service, amazing French-style pastries, and delicious food. I’ve been here several times over the years. You order at the counter (where you can see all the delicious pastries!) and you are given a number to place on your table for your food to be brought to you. There really are so many choices (see the photos of the bakery case) but I neglected to take a photo of the drink menu. Today, I had the feta omelette and chocolate croissant. Gorgeous presentation and perfect taste and texture! Chaumont Vegan is a find! Don’t just go if you happen to be in the area; make it a destination. Some complain that it is not REALLY a vegan establishment because it is attached to its non-vegan counterpart. To me, this is a plus. The original non-vegan place used to offer some vegan options. But it seems demand was so great, they expanded to offer a fully vegan space with many more options! (I think this happened in 2021.). So, rather than put them down, I choose to celebrate them. Thank you Chaumont for first offering some vegan choices and then bringing us even more with a dedicated space next door. Updated from previous review on 2025-11-23“

“Pleasantly surprised with everything about Veggietize me. Just a small unpretentious place with good people and great all Vegan food. We felt very welcome there. Nothing fancy, just a few tables and a counter you order at. The menu is extensive. I had the western burger with the impossible patty. This patty was cooked perfectly and had to be one of the best vegan burgers I've had. My huspand had the breakfast burrito which he enjoyed. Next came dessert. Oreo shake..of course. delicious. I had a Horchata which was perfect as well. We love this place and can't wait to come back to try more.“

“This cafe and Juice bar STOLE our hearts! A MUST when in San Diego and La Jolla. I mean, WOOOOWWW! We were able to sneak in a quick breakfast before our whale tour at the Little Italy location, and thank goodness we did! My only regret is not visiting every single day for their exceptional breakfast and high-quality juices! I ordered the All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha. I mean, holy moly. The delivery was beautifully executed and built perfectly. The blue corn waffle was moist yet firm. My mother ordered the Shakshuka - another favorite dish of mine that WOWed. You can not go wrong with Parakeet. Thank you to the divine chefs and baristas - you made Parakeet the most beloved restaurant during our time in California!!!“

I ate my last flapjack warmed with nothing on it the next day; they’re that good! In fact, their pancake recipe is something I legitimately wish I had to emulate at home. Moreover, you can’t go wrong with the tofu breakfast mini burritos!! I get both every time as a creature of habit! Xoxo

“My partner and I LOVE Vegan Glory! We have enjoyed everything we've tried on their menu, and the servers know us well by now! (They have a LOT of regulars.) We bring in everyone who visits us from out of town and we like to tell the story about the time we sat one table away from a famous musician. Our favorite menu items include: Vietnamese bun / Papaya Salad / Freshy rolls /Spicy Yakisoba /garlic green beans / pineapple fried rice / Khosoi (yellow curry noodles) / Yellow Curry / Pumpkin-Eggplant tofu / Hong Kong Eggless Noodle in Tom Yum soup with fried Impossible dumplings (that one's not on the menu but you can ask for it). They have several protein options: Soy Chicken /Soy Pepper Stake / Seitan / Soy Fish / Tofu / Soy Shrimp / Soy Chicken Nuggets We often get Thai tea (and sometimes carrot cake to take home). Staff has always been friendly about making any adjustments (sometimes I'm craving a specific vegetable), and if you get Joy as your server, she'll make lots of recommendations.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top!
